Gov. Haslam: No need for more state gun legislation
Mike.357 replied to Garufa's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
well. Now that it is all cleared up we can move forward, -
nah nah man. It is all good. I would hope this thread has not created ill will. I sincerely hope we are adult and able to separate internet from real life. Heck I have broke hamburger meat with 6.8 and he has since vouched for a few of you all. I bet we would all get along famous in person.

Mike.357 replied to HvBikeWlTravel's topic in General Chat
if you don't do River Monsters you need to catch up. mostly Actual reality. All I know about Alaska is that 70Below's dad shot a moose from his back portch there -
waking up each day sucks sometimes, but it is definitely better than the other option.

do you see what I did there?

that is what they think. Gay boys are now all of the sudden going to attack other boys, gay adult leaders would assault kids. They are gay for God's sake they can't help but sexually assault others. Gay people do not have common decency like straight people. Yep never seen any PDA's out of straight people, it is them damn queers always playing grab ass out in public. They ought to be ashamed. Blasphemers

yeas I kind of think you do need to define it or I would not have requested it

Marco Rubio On Hannity Last Night discussing Immigration

we have defacto amnesty right now. Anything different would most likely be an improvement. -
Do you really need to change your oil every 3,000 miles?
Mike.357 replied to Volzfan's topic in General Chat
every owners manual I have had always claimed 5K as the change interval. I saw a commercial last night for Mobil 1 brand oil and it claimed 15k as an interval. On my new truck the owners manual claims 7500 to 10k as the normal interval for normal driving usage. The service manager at my dealer told me to bring it in at 5k to get it done. Out of curiosity I just checked the info on the onboard computer and with 4k in milage on the truck it claims oil is at 63% right now. -
was George Takai a boy scout?

some how I absolutely believe Jesus would say gay kids should be scouts the same as straight kids. No where in any cub scout literature is it mentioned you gotta believe in a certain God. no where in the scout pack I was involved with did it say you gotta be a Methodist. And it amazes me that a church would not accept a sinner into their flock. What a f'd up deal that is. No wonder I have ZERO interest in organized religion. Organized religion does not want me because I am a sinner too.

as for Christianity in scouting... In Cameron's Bear book requirement 1A is Complete the Character Connection of Faith. One of the 1A requirements says "Practice, Practice your faith as taught in your home, church, synagogue, mosque,or religious fellowship. I never had a problem with this requirement due to the fact it did not require us to practice Christian faith. I teach living by the Golden Rule here at home. God is not defined anywhere in the book. God could be whoever I decide it is. Cameron sometimes goes to church with one of his friend's families. He can decide what he wants to believe. Gays in scouting do not affect this at all. But... To earn Achievement 2, one must knuckle under to accepted religion. Be it Christianity, Mormonism, Judaism, Islam, Hindu, etc... Every religion possible is listed there. Even one generic type listed as "some protestant faiths". Seems to me it is about all encompassing. Oddly enough there is nothing in this book about how to earn this achievement. It specifically says to contact your den leader, religious leader or BSA local council service center for information about how to earn the award of your faith. I had a problem with the lack of written specifics for this achievement. Anyway near as I can tell scouting does not have any more to do with Christianity than it does with any other religion.

too funny. I did scouts with my oldest grandson for two years. I don't know that any of the scouts were gay, boy scouts or cubs, and I doubt any of the leaders were. But there were several ( imho) weirdo's involved in it all. I just chalked up up to people being what they are and not worrying much about it. Live and let live, yanno. I did it for my grandson to be involved, met some very nice people. I never let my true feeling known about anything really. But them trying to force me to be a churchgoer really ate at me. I was asked multiple times what church I attended and whenever I actually admitted to not going to church I was told every time that it was okay as long as I had a personal relationship with God. I just smiled and nodded. I was there to help my grandson and help the other kids in his den and pack so I ignored all the church stuff. One incident about did me in though. The entire pack met inside of the church that sponsored his pack to learn about the popcorn sales process. They actually stood at the altar and pushed popcorn sales. I sat in a pew listening attentively. Happened to be wearing a ball cap. One of the the boy scout adult leader actually came up to me and told me " take that hat off and show some respect while you are in a church" I was dumbfounded. It was all I could do to not ask the guy if he ever heard the story of Jesus and the money changers. I was pissed but just nodded and removed my hat. What a bunch of hypocrite's. Use the church as a church and I assure you I would have not worn a hat, but to peddle popcorn it did not seem like much of a church at the moment. Anyway... Homosexuals are not pedophiles. It is damn ignorant to say that they are. Are gay boy scouts as likely to rape non gay scouts as a hetero scout is likely to rape a girl? Hell NO! Neither is a very likely scenario. Sex has no place in scouting, it is about teaching boys to become upstanding citizens. I could care less if a scout or a leader is gay anymore than I care of they are heterosexual, none of that matters. My grandson was a productive scout, we participated in most events and he earned a wide assortment of badges and awards. We did camp outs hikes, outings, den and pack meetings. He lost interest after his second year and never asked to go back for a third so I let it go. He does football. Oddly enough, I was a card carrying scout leader for those two years, and when we did not come back after football season for a third year I was not contacted one time by anyone in his pack to ask where we were. I am pretty much glad they didn't now.

wow what a nightmare. Glad I had no trouble like that. I had been talking to a customer of the liquor store who is a Ford salesman at a dealer just down the street. I had been talking new truck to him every time he came in for about two months. When he came in the day before I bought the new truck I told him I was ready to do it. He told me to come see him the next day. It all went like a breeze. Buying a new vehicle is stressful but that salesman and his fellow staff made it the most painless purchase I have had so far. The entire process took about three hours before I left with my new truck. The only annoying thing was the never ending emails from them making sure I was happy and all was well, LOL I did not think they would ever stop emailing me. But they have. The truck did have a small electric problem that showed up within a few days. They had me come back in, hooked me up with a rental car and had my truck figured out and fixed the next day. Ended up that a weld on a ground nut on some circuit was messed up. Not one problem since then. They washed my truck and the service manager told me when I came back for my first oil change ( i have three years scheduled maintenance included) he would have it detailed out for me while I waited. My sales guy comes in the liquor store about every other week and never fails to ask if the truck is doing everything i need, am I still happy with it, and is there anything he can do for me. I will not hesitate to buy future vehicles from him. Good luck with your dealings.

why would anyone let a total stranger into their home? Not happening here. Chances are I will meet you as you get out of your car, and I come from an angle where they don't see me until i speak. A dog makes a great early warning system. If someone comes down my driveway besides my wife or mother in-law the dog starts barking. And after she goes off I go off. I am generally not very nice to uninvited guests.

that Weller 12 is a big find. Can't get it around here anymore.

Benghazi, AP phone, and IRS scandals. Changing minds?
Mike.357 replied to Randall53's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I don't think taking the Fifth counts for anything unless it is in a court of law. I am surprised she was not compelled to talk. -
the Raptor is not the top end truck from Ford, they look nice but I rarely ever see one on the road around here. Assuming money was not an issue I would order up a Fx4 as long as i could have vinyl flooring instead of carpet. When I bought my STX there were a couple of Platinum Edition F 150's in the showroom, They were very very proud of them two trucks.

I agree, there are times if I am carrying IWB I let it show. No touching but simply show it.
