  1. the .gov acts on our behalf.  This is all well and good if honest people filled with integrity were the ones over seeing things.   The problem is those who make laws and decide what is best are dishonest and self serving.  All they care about is becoming wealthy and remaining in power.  Newly elected representatives go to Washington with the facade of changing things and looking out for us.  Soon enough the are sucked into the vacuum and become like the rest already there.   Very few deserve our trust.   Snowden is making a lot of people squirm and worry,  I doubt that those people are worrying about my well being and safety.  They worry how this will affect them and their ability to be self serving.   And sure there are some who have integrity, but not enough to change how the government operates.
  2. the single action six shoots .22 Magnum as well as regular .22 rounds.  Therefore the barrel is bigger than .22 to accommodate the size of a .22 Mag.  I do not see how it is possible for the revolver to be as accurate as a pistol that only shoots .22's and is sized for that round.
  3. if there was a gun in the basement she would have had time.
  4. the dude is scared he will be killed.  A patriot might take a job knowing full well he can get dirt on politicians. Our gov't is full of people fucking us for profit's sake.   If he turns up dead nothing will convince me he was not murdered by those in power who are afraid of what he knows.
  5. going from 100 to 89 is easy peasy.  Going from 89 to par is damn near impossible for most humans. Thats why PGA tour players make bank.
  6. I have both, without a question the 22-45 is more accurate.
  7. they should name High Schools after Snowden.  He is not a traitor.     6.8 I enjoy your posts on this topic.   The .gov is pissed because he has dirt on them.   Bunch of scumbags they are.  Not a one is a patriot. They crap on our constitution and try to sell it as protecting us.
  8. after a lifetime of golf, and thirty years of on and off golf being a career I have simply decided the game is detestable.  Cheaper than ammo anymore though.
  9. that is all fine and dandy but a SAS is not designed for hunting.  It is a plinker.   If I wanted to hunt with a .22, the Ruger MKIII  22-45 would be a much better, more accurate and less expensive option.
  10. meh, them things are way over rated
  11. having a gun in the basement and knowing how to use it would have changed this story.
  12. I have handled or shot about a dozen Garands.  I have yet to see one that did not have either or both character and shootability.  Mine has both,  as have about every one I have handled.
  13.     All product sold at liquor stores must contain a minimum of 1% alcohol.   No telling what is used to make alcohol for flavors such as the ones DK produces.  No worries there anyway.  What you find in the Liquore or Cordial aisle is not to be fretted over.     Avoid Vodka and other spirits where on the label it claims it is made with Liquores.  A specific one off the top of my head is Kamchatka (sp?) Vodka.   Awful vile stuff, and it got worse when they added the word Liquores to the label.  There are others.
  14. and all of this is why I prefer to avoid used cars.   Yeah you may save some money,  most likely will I suppose.  But I always figure that used car was dumped by the owner for a reason.
  15.   there are no NON alcoholic mixers sold at liquor stores in TN.   The only liquor I would recommend avoiding altogether are those that proclaim on the label that their product is made with spirits and "Liquores".   There is no real definition of "liquore" and there is no way to know what it was distilled from.   Basically it means they are adding some nasty crap to your hootch.    The mystery ingredients in the story are not anywhere in the league of what may be in your el-cheapo liquor bottle.    The law, I believe, refers to taking legally sold spirits and adding your own fruit, meat, or other flavors to that spirit to effect a change in flavor.   Adding coke to a glass of rum is not the same thing.  Making Sangria behind the bar is not the same as making a mixed drink or margarita.
  16.   this is exactly what the law refers to.  It does not apply to rum and cokes, or margarita's or sangria that comes from a bottle.
  17.   this does not apply to spirits or wine for sale in your local package store.  What we sell is not the same thing as what is banned in the law.
  18. any cartouche marks on the stock?
  19. very nice Mark.  Mine is an H&R too.
  20. no where in the story does it say she loaded the thing.   What the hell is she freaking out about?
  21. bruce jenner should have a gun in his home for protection.  Everybody should.        Why such animosity towards him?
  22. I have proudly farted in both I am fairly sure :)
