    I am not sure what paying an extra 500 beans for a milled receiver gets me.   Shot milled AK's and never noticed any difference.   And I agree, I love shooting any AK,  AR's meh....

I have shot 'em. They go bang, a projectile goes down range and a casing ejects from the chamber.    Give me an AK over an AR any day.

Nice UJ.  I love shooting mine.  I am so happy I spent all my ammo money on 7.63X39 before all the stupidness happened.  I rarely go the range without it tagging along.  And the fact that OS hits with it only reinforces how good of a rifle it is.  I am pretty sure with some practice at long range it would hit all day long out to 1K yards.

nice release about the US spying on the EU.   I learned a long time ago that two wrongs don't make a right.  Certainly the US is spied on,  and everyone who justifies our countries actions used that to make it seem right.,  I don't know really what to think,  other than the two wrongs don't make a right thing.   If we gotta spy on people we darn well ought to do a better job of covering the tracks.     Snowden is a patriot.  And those in the .gov pissed about it are just afraid of the dirt from the crappy job they do of covering their tracks.  

My AK variant is the last long gun I would ever sell.   Yeah Rommie's get a bad rep but someway somehow I got a tack driver.   Heck even OS can hit with it all day long. Curious if you had a 47, or 74 or what.  But the design is flawless either way.  They are worth no more than 5 bills,  don't overpay.  

that is a nice looking rig.  The 318 is a fine motor.  Not so sure it is the best Chrysler ever did,  don't forget the 225 slant six!!  Dang them SOB's had some low end torque.   I had a 85 Ram and it was a runnin devil.  Wish I had never sold it.  Would love to still have it or even have it just sitting on blocks in the Section C parking lot here at the House in the Woods.   Post up some more pics and details of what you are doing to it.

it is a no brainer to get a 4X4.   I have two quads.  One a 2 wheel drive and the other a 4x4.  One is a 2X4 375 Polaris and the other is a 4x4 500 Polaris Scrambler.  While the Scrambler is a sport quad I have used it to haul/drag downed trees, tow a trailer full of firewood, drag a pickup truck from mud to more solid ground, haul ass across a field. The Scrambler does it all.   I am not sure of the original question anymore, LOL

  you may be right in theory that the .gov need not be involved but in practice it is not going to happen.   The .gov interjects itself into all of our lives through taxation. Allowing gay marriage levels the taxation playing field for everyone, gay or straight.

I live in Corryton and have range out in my woods.  When I decided to shoot out there I called the Knox Sheriff office.  I was told something along the lines that you cannot shoot towards a building or dwelling where people are or anywhere that people may be gathering.  There is no noise ordinance here,  I have shot every gun I own out there, but now tend to only shoot .22's just to be considerate of people who live around here.  I am not adverse to shooting a few rounds of larger caliber for testing purposes.  I have never had the cops show up or anyone approach me about the noise.   One neighbor has told me that I am not hurting anything by doing what I do.   I have a decent sized dirt pile and it sits at the base of a hill.  Nearest dwellings are a long ways off.  I would not shoot towards my house no matter how big a dirt pile is in front of it.  I can about guarantee that is an accident waiting to happen.   The nearest house (not my own) to my range is about 75 yards away and is not visible from where I shoot.   I say you are legal to shoot on your land but you might rethink shooting towards your house.   and FWIW I hear gunfire around here all the time, so it ain't just me shooting.   Just re-read the OP and am not clear on where exactly his house sits.  Is your back to the house or would you be facing it?   And I misread the part about shooting into a bank not a dirt pile.  I can promise you have rocks in the bank and ricochets may well result.

looking forward to seeing the pics.   I love shooting the single six, and you are correct that the sights are not real good.  It definitely will shoot better with mags too.
