  1.     actually the saying is that "I couldn't care less"        sorry, this was already flogged
  2.     except the liquor store has no say over being closed on Sunday.  Sue the state legislature who has decided certain businesses can't set their own hours.
  3. does lubrication really make it better?
  4. if he is the guy on the right I noticed he does not have an ICB   But he knows about gunplay.   I have infinite respect for that badge. How did he become a light colonel without it?
  5.     this, very much this.   Hang tough Paul.   Sending you the karma I have banked to help with the follow up with Ashton.  Always remember it ain't easy being a kid.
  6. Sorry if this is in the wrong place. if so maybe a mod can move it.   I would like to buy a Marlin Model 60 rifle or one of the many models of the Ruger MK pistol.  I. II, III or 22-45 models they have made.   My dream purchase would be a III with the wood grips or a 60 that has a 17 round magazine.   This is for my oldest grandson as a present. He is 11 and loves guns.   PM me or call me at 865 two two eight 845 one if you have a firearm you wanna pass along.
  7.   I bought a 2013 F 150 back in March.  I asked the salesman about a console compartment under the armrest/middle seat back.  He told me is was only an arm rest.  And it is.  Later that day after taking possession of the truck found that the middle jumpseat lifts up and has a nice hidey hole under it.   Makes me wonder if that could be considered hidden?   The dang salesman did not know it was there.  I did not know it was there from simply looking.   How could "the man" twist that?
  8.     No I was not picking.   We have our differences for sure.  But I don't really disagree with you.    Your time frame is what I was asking about.  10 to 20 years sounds reasonable.   My head is not in the sand.
  9. as for Vodka,  and i have sampled most of them at one time or another being in the business, Russian Standard is the best one on the shelf.  It is the only one totally made and bottled in Russia for sale in TN.  There is no other Vodka with as clean a taste.    As for flavored Vodkas I gotta go with the 360 brand of flavors,  they are outstanding.  They don't make a grapefruit flavor and if you are a fan of grapefruit vodka give Deep Eddy Ruby Red a try.  it is outta this world.   got to try some 23 year old Pappy Van Winkle this week,  sign me up as not a fan.
  10.     not to be picking on you, but when is it going to happen?  Give me your best educated guess.
  11.     just remember the stripe goes down.   I do suppose that in ten years none of us will have credit/debit cards any longer anyhow, we will all have some kind of implant or iris scan that does it all.
  12.   i give them a break all the time,  I bend over backwards being nice.  It would be nice if that was a two way street.   No one is defrauding them at our store.  A big part of their protection is us not handling their credit cards.    Lots of our senior citizen customers are nice, polite and social people.  Just the rude self centered one's make it easy to forget about the normal old people.   I much prefer working nights when the median age of the customers drops by about thirty years.  Not to forget about the attractive woman with loose moral values.   My big hope is when I hit total geezerville I have the mental ability to use that last bullet properly.
  13. people go to Chicago every day and don't have trouble.  I lived up that way for eight years and never had trouble.   99% of violent crimes in Chicago are gang related.  I would not lose sleep over going there.   A sure way of inviting trouble is to illegally have a gun,  especially if you are a law abiding person.  YMMV
  14. if he walks the kids home regularly couldn't he just wait outside to greet his kid when the kid is released and then walk him home?  If he has done this in the past wouldn't the school be aware?   I am not defending the cop, don't really care.   Lots of cops are jerks,  lots of them are stand up guys(gals).   Why do people have to be full of drama?  How freaking hard is it to wait and then walk your kid home?   And....  Somebody in a previous post axed why schools need police there.  Maybe previous school shootings have been missed or something.  I like seeing cops at my grandkids school.
  15. when is the constitutional convention?
  16. becoming elderly is only slightly better than the other option   I just wish elderly people as a group were a little less rude and demanding.  I understand when reaching the age where you don't even buy green bananas is not easy but is it so damn hard to ask for a senior citizen discount rather than bark out " don't forget my senior!"  And then demand it several more times even after it is applied. And then bark out one more time " you gave me my senior didn't you?"  And how damn hard is it to slide a debit or credit card through a card reader even though you are shown the correct way every week?   Old people are why I prefer working nights.
  17. read about this today on WATE.    I did not watch video's,  don't really care if the Dad was disorderly or not.  If he wants his kids and does not want to wait in line then go pick em up before the car line starts up.   Can any of you imagine the chaos that would ensue if every parent decided to go park and walk in the building to get their kids?   Dude probably did not deserve to be arrested,  but is it really that freaking hard to follow protocol?
  18. that is what we buy insurance for
  19. the off brands like Vizio buy parts and assemble the TV's.  Higher end like Philips make TV's with parts engineered to work best together.  Can I tell the difference?  Doubtful.   I would buy as cheaply as possible.  HD TV's have really come down lately.   Go cheap as you can find.
  20. has ammo been hard to get?  Hadn't noticed.  Have not bought any in going on two years now
  21.     must have been Canadian's
  22.   no worries Spots  :)
  23.     I was not speaking at you per se,
  24. i ask for nothing, the tradition of extorting gifts from family should end when one becomes self sufficient.   If someone wants to give a heartfelt gift that is fine.  But I'd never ask, and always encourage nothing be given to me.     Christmas is about Santa and little kids.
  25. aside from it being McDonalds, which I pretty much never eat by choice anyway, why would I boycott a chain of restaurants for an incident by a rogue employee? My local McD's did not have anything to do with it?  They are franchises and owned by individuals not involved with it either.
