  1.     I try to watch MSNBC just to keep up with what the other side is doing.  That news (LOL) network does not even pretend to be balanced or fair in their reporting.  It is straight up an Obama fanboy network.  Not to say Fox is that much better for the republican side, but it is not as blatant as what MSNBC does.  They are really hard to stomach.
  2.     CNN made a point to make sure this was well known long before they fired.  Coincidence?|
  3.   there is nothing bad to say about David, and your point does not resonate in regard to him.
  4. I am sure I have had something or other lost by the USPS at one time or another but nothing stands out.   what does stand out are two instances of excellent service.   About fifteen years ago I mailed a package to Chicago from Boca Raton.  Just regular mail,  it arrived the next day.   And last year my 90 year old alzheimer's Dad mailed a birthday card to me.   I wish I still had the envelope to post a pic of it.  It was addressed to Mr. Mike ( no last name at all) my address only had part of the street name,  my town was there but no zip code.    Some how it found its way into my mailbox.   There had to be several postal employees who went above and beyond to get it to me.  He did have a return addy sticker so the easy way out for a handler would have been to return it. But no, somehow it made it from Cincinnati to my house.  All I could figure was someone at the Corryton PO figured out the street name and my letter carrier must have recognized a Cincy return address from previous mail Dad had sent me and knew it was mine.   The old man died back in September, it is the last piece of mail he will send me.  Wish I had the envelope but I still have the card.   The USPS gets a thumbs up from me.
  5. looks like it was fun.    shooting warms the blood anyway,
  6. I totally missed the leaving of Ginger in a ditch.   Episode 7 seemed to totally set up for the finale.  Can't wait to see how the gun point interrogation with the sheriff plays out.  And the Spaghetti monster mowing the grass is going to play into it no doubt.   The video of the people wearing animal heads and girl was stomach turning,  glad they left some to the imagination.
  7. here is a different perspective   http://en.ria.ru/     I am not listing links to individual stories there was a bunch of them there.
  8. and totally off topic but whatever happened to Baja?   Have not seen any signs of life in a long time.
  9. I am not sure why you want to polish it.      I'd just shoot it.
  10. totally doable.   All it takes is practice.
  11. what do I need to do to get ready for spring?   I checked the calendar and spring is still near three weeks away.   I am feeling the pressure to be ready for it.
  12. if it was a gov't conspiracy to fast track gun legislation imho it was a serious fail.
  13.   don't even matter.  Got enough cave sweepings left to last a while ;)
  14. not so much...
  15. that's it. The cart.  We used to call it a "granny cart".  The old lady's in the hood used to pull them to the grocer.   We used to love to do poor imitation of each other's mother's pulling them carts off the porch.  Endless hours of comic relief.   I can't carry a bag big enough, so put it in the back of the truck bed and make due.  A two by four keeps it all in reach.  I prefer out in the woods shooting from the golf cart but them days are growing short.     A nice TGO patch would be cool.  I am sure there have been threads about it here in the past.  Tungsten surely has dealt with it before.
  16. that and after 100 yards it is a pot shot anyway with either. LOL
  17. Dang Mac, now I gotta do my own research.   I will say from my own personal experience that steel case is harder on a M1 Carbine.  It ran great for near seventy years.  ( an assumption, given).  But In a little over 1000 rounds, half steel the extractor broke.  Dunno if it would have happened anyway due to age,   But in well over 2K rounds through the AK it has not mattered.   And I wager that AK will not see 2k rounds through it again.      So the crux is, why worry about it.   How may rounds you putting through the Glock that are life and death?  Who cares about spring life?
  18. TGO guys are the one's at the range not painting each other, they are also friendly and watchful.   I thought this was a thread about range bags.   Near as I can tell about them, if they hold what i need they are too heavy. If I can carry it it is missing stuff.  I need a couple of bags and an ammo can
  19.   at what point does it hurt the rifle?
  20. unload it, then load and reload it thirty times.  If an old ass spring is a problem this should show it.   Personally I believe dryness of the metal is the issue.  If it had a light coating of oil the whole time it would not be as affected.  I dunno what the truth is but this is my theory.
  21. I know what you are saying Nicky.  It all just reminds me of "turn that garbage down!"   Not to belittle the topic
  22. this thread smacks of crap the old man said back in the 60's
  23. The local distributor is currently out of Weller 12. Of course that can change at anytime.  It sells very fast.   The Pappy left me unimpressed, tried all of them.   Some of you boubon lovers might want to give Noah's Mill a try,  it gets a lot of good customer feedback.  Another good one is Corner Creek, if you can find it.
  24. they can't let him go and can't put him in jail.   No idea how a prosection would play out with what Rust did with Ginger.  It is a hole I hope they close. Absolutely loved Maggie going to Rusts apartment and him throwing her out afterwards.   what else I don't get is the beer during the interview.   Certainly if Rust had incriminated himself it would be useless information. And how does a guy drink a six pack of tallboys, a flask of liquor and not be hammered.   I can see the hard chainsmoking while he was drinking.
