soak the carb down with Gumout. Just access it as best you can and spray the heck out of it. Repeat the process a few times. Then give it a try. I have success with this in the past on a quad that got gummed up. It did not take long to get it to fire. It is a cheap try at any rate.

7.62x39 and other Russian Ammo Threatened
Mike.357 replied to runco's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I bought a case of Wolf x39 from AIM, just because they love me and send me emails saying as much. Probably could have got it a cent or two cheaper if I had looked but I like to return the love. I am near a lifetime supply of it, and of course if a shooting war broke out all I would need is two mags full. After that I imagine I will be buzzard food anyway. Just doing my part. And fwiw AK's rule! -
I forgot all about this thread

just because I have been known to wear a skirt does not mean I don't do it in a manly way. ;) My truck has a 3.7 v6, 300 hp. Gets right at 19 mpg as a daily driver. My old truck was a 4.2 v6 and got about 14 mpg with a good tail wind. Now the more I drive, with gas savings I can pay for the newer truck.

and I was joking, hence the winky thing. and as for people not owning their own and wanting to borrow mine. There are about two or three people I would hand my keys over to. Maybe ten people I would help by using my truck. All others get the canned response that I'd be happy to lift and tote to help but my truck is not part of the deal. Go rent one.

the country club I worked at for five years or so here in Knox would serve animal meat for lunch that corresponded to the mascot UT was playing that Saturday. When they played South Carolina we got chicken that day, when they played Georgia we got hot dogs, when they played Florida we got gator. etc... I remember the last time they played ND here in Knoxville, they served up corned beef and cabbage, LOL. I suggested they serve goat after UT got beaten by my Irish.

yeah, I dunno how people who have a house get by without a truck. If you don't have one you gotta have a best buddy who does. I have been driving one since the early 80's. I can't see myself not owning ( or paying a bank for) one. The only real downside is if you have one, people who don't, think you are in the moving business.

Been eye to eye with gators in the glades before. I used to fish out there most Mondays during the summer. One time we were way out, no cell reception at all. The dummy I fished with who owned the boat forgot to put the plug in. We were within two inches of the boat totally sinking before he got it running and got the water draining out. Them gators were looking at me and licking their lips. I was upt to my chest in water with my thumb shoved in the drain hole. Also saw iguanas that were five feet long. They would come up out of the canal at the golf course I worked at. They'd sit on the cart path bridges and scare the crap out of the members. I;d want no part of a croc. And i dunno what croc's taste but Gator's really tasted like chicken.

I can barely stomach watching network news. None of them are trustworthy. I scour the interweb and find what I think is believable. OReilly is a buffoon, right up there with the pillhead who does radio.

lemme know in two weeks when you go to dump it.

what would I tow with, a sedan? I am way more manly than that. ;)

Dang Mac, did you miss anyone? LOL

Unless you haul for a living or have a giant ass camper I see no point whatsoever in buying a diesel. To do the daily drive it seems folly to have a super duty truck. And I am also not sure of the point to a leveling kit unless you worry about penis size and your truck has to look big. As for that video, while aimed at humor very few truck owners use their truck for work . Most are like me and need a truck on occassion but basically use it as a daily driver. I need a truck to haul the yard tractor to Granny's to mow her grass and to throw trash bags in for the ride to the dump, or haul mulch or gravel for home use. Wishing you nothing but luck in your used truck purchase.

Sounds like ti was handled in a professional manner. Glad the clerk did not lose his job. -
I sold a bottle of Ocean to a guy last Friday. I commented that I had not tasted it but it interested me. He insisted I take it into the back, open it and give it a taste. I protested commenting on the price and all. He said sharing it is half the fun of buying it, so I gave it a try. I thought it very good. To me it seemed very soft on the front end with a little bit of bite on the finish. I think it must have a fair amount of rye in it due the how it finished. Overall I liked it a lot. To my taste it was way way better than Pappy. We got some Weller 12 in this week . I don't expect it to last very long. FWIW Distillers Pride comes from the same distillery. This is a budget bourbon that is very much overlooked by bourbon fans as it comes in a PET bottle. Might be worth having in the liquor cabinet for the times your mooching friends show up. I am not sure what vegetal means in relation to whisky. The Corner Creek did not taste like a vegetable to me. It is soft and easy drinking, with a nice finish that is soft. It is slightly sweet and did not have a bad oaky kick to it. But we all taste different things in bourbon. The Corner Creek I have had several times and I put it in the same class as Woodford Reserve. Definitely one of my fav's. Supposedly they are bottling it again and it should reappear in the market again soon.

I wonder how many old airfields are in the area of this flight. Just because a book says you need x number of feet to land a plane does not mean in the real world that is how much is needed. I wonder if we will see this jetliner again someday flying into a building in Singapore or another city. And what is to say the passengers weren't pushed out a door as the plane flew a couple hundred feet over the water. or is it something most here would deny as a possiblity, like Alien abduction. I am not going to get any further into that. Just sayin...

they can kiss my butt. I expect gouging out of the gun show resellers. Not legitimate businesses. That is no way to do business. I work for a guy who had made a fortune off of fair and solid pricing. He does not gouge even when the door is open to do so, (ie: Pappy) Screw these guys, I wish no one would buy it.

Not wasting time watching something I very much doubt to be true, this based on personal experience. Henry Rifles are top shelf.

HCP reminder from Knox Sheriff

I wonder what criteria was used to cull the list to decide who to send the letter to. -
better start a tire replacement fund for that thing. Them mud tires might not last very long on pavement. Big ass truck tires ain't cheap.

tnguy has a good idea. unless your existing truck is about DOA you could get a helluva used four door for that kind of money. Heck you could buy a new car for that kind of money. Assuming the existing truck is in decent order I'd buy a car.

Anyone catch the strange Galifianakis-Obama interview?
Mike.357 replied to Erik88's topic in General Chat
it was well done and if done by a Obozo impersonator I would have found it humorous. ACA is nothing to make jokes about by the guy pushing it.
