This is about as off topic for a TN gun message board as there could be. I am about to bust and I gotta express myself somewhere. Elder slays giant Ramsey: 'This is something these guys will remember the rest of their lives' http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070901/SPT030101/309010037 My high school, Elder High School in Cincinnati just beat the # 3 ranked team in the nation 41-34 in OT. :woohoo:The game was part of the Kirk Herbstreit OHIO vs. USA Challenge. It is some of the top teams in Ohio vs top teams from throughout our nation. We beat Charlotte N.C. Independence High School a few minutes ago. I am about to go crazy. Elder came back from being down two times and finally tied it with less than minute to go. Winning it when we intercepted Independence on their first OT possession. I swear BATFE couuld raid my house right now and I would still have this smile :Don my face. Independence had a 108 game winning streak going and we beat them for their first loss in 7 years. :clap:Man I am gonna bust!!:P Thanks for hearing me out, I gotta go celebrate some. Go Panthers! Altiora!

How about a .38 special vs 9mm, which is better? thread.

I do not know anywhere near all the gun shops in Tri-Cities, but from the ones that are still there that I know of, the people in Tri-Cities have way better options than people here in Knox County.

Well, maybe just one more

Thompson needs to announce and begin actively campaigning. I want to know how he stands on issues and time is running out as far as primaries. Hillary ain't gonna win. Not to sound sexist but when it comes time to pull the lever or push the button or poke your chad people will not vote for her. I do not believe the country is ready to elect a woman president yet, especially not her.

I really liked that shop. Mike is a real good guy. I bought my last pistol from him about a month ago. That place was a friendly kind of shop where you could hang out and just shoot the breeze. I will miss it.

happy Birthday Elliott. You made out pretty well my friend. Now can you have your family offer some training to my family? I want some new guns too!

that is a blatant untruth:stunned: the plastic magazine base shatters when you try to do that:eek: One thing not discussed is the ghost sight that comes as an accessory I want to shoot some ghosts just don't know where to find any:biglol: No truer words have ever been spoken on this forum:up:

I do not understand why anyone would feel shame about owning or shooting a Hi-Point. Poor people are afforded the same RKBA as those financially better off. I have one in .40S&W and it is a fine shooter. A little large but just the same it goes bang only when I want it to and it shoots fine. Easy to aim, goes where it is aimed and was out the door with 100 rounds of ammo for less than $200. Also there is a lifetime warranty on it. Does not matter if it's bought NIB or used and abused. Send it back and they will fix it for free and return it to you with a new magazine as compensation for your shipping costs to get it to them in Mansfield OH. There also is a fine forum for Hi-Point owners, maybe you Hi-Pointers ought to check it out. http://hipoint.7.forumer.com/

I have a yugo made in 1988. I bought it from Big Al's up in Greenville. I don't know how used it was but I have put a few hundred rounds through it and it is a blast to shoot. Everything works like it is supposed to. My guess is once you clean it up and shoot you will love it. post a pic when you can.

Welcome to the board, c'mon out shooting. we have a lot of fun! and FWIW I think Tower meant to say in Oct it will be in Knoxville, sept in Kingsport.

I always thought you had to pour salt in their mouth and stitch it shut to keep them dead not just undead.

I have never seen a Buckmark Silhoutte so I searched for a pic of it here is a url for those of you like me who did not know what it was http://www.huntingpictures.net/showphoto.php/photo/13643/sort/1/cat/500 That is one heck of a large .22. I imagine it would be fun to shoot. The foregrip makes it look like you hold it sort of like a rifle to shoot. I bet it is accurate.

I am a fan of Colts and Milsurps myself. What is she going to attach to it?
-
good info on the thong. Is Sue gonna remove the ring or keep it on? I did not know yall were into cowboy shooting. So with all the milsurps is this one a red-headed step child?

Ammo or guns in this caliber? And I agree with expectations people have over the value of their guns. This applies to people's junk in general too.
-
Oh I have to disagree. My Red Ryder came with one , and there is not a more manly gun evermade. Of course I lost control and ripped it off. On a serious note, what is the actual purpose of the leather strapping and ring? Like I said there was one on my Red Ryder but I could not figure out what it was for.

I don't know if she will choose to sell it for 300 or less. I think she was hoping for the 500 to 600 mark. I don't know if it is an ADL or not but I will try to find out. The barrel is not what I would call a heavy barrel, I believe she said it is 24" as well. She also told me that the stock was custom cut for her size. She is an average size lady I guess and the stock feels short to me but I bet I could shoot it fine anyway. Would make a fine deer hunting rifle. I never saw a scope mount that folded away like this. but then I do not get out much. If I was a hunter I would be wanting it bad. Pretty cherry for an old rifle. I will try to remember to take a couple of picks of it Shannon, maybe that would help you identify it further.

I hope someone here can help. A lady I work with has a rifle she wishes to sell. We are trying to determine proper value of it. She does not want to rip anyone off nor be ripped off herself. The rifle was originally purchased in 1979 and is a Remington 700 in 6mm. It has a Monte Carlo Stock and Leupold(sp) 3x9 scope on Weaver hinged rings. The hinges fold the scope away so the iron sights can be used. The barrel is blued and has no scratches or worn spots on it. The front iron sight is a ring sight with the back being a normal looking ramp sight. The stock is absolutley beautiful. I do not know what to call the finish on it. It is wood and very shiny,(poly-eurothane?(sp)) also scratch free. It has no more than 200 rounds through it. I would rate it at least at 98%. Any idea of worth?

I used to get sky box passes for either the Jim Beam skybox or Crown Royal until ABC took all the fun out of freebies. The skyboxes are fun alright but I prefer sitting in the grandstands. Not getting sensations from smell and noise made me feel I was missing something. I guess I will be part of the couch brigade for this one. And the other thing, going to that Saturday night race just killed my Sunday too.

Whatever hat you wear I am glad you are on our side.

You need to get home so we can all come out and shoot your new rifles!

Since PacMan got wacked for a season, no convictions, and Chris Henry got eight games for petty ante convictions, Vick will probably get a 4 game suspension and a suspended sentence.
