  1. what do people think bad about a S&W Sigma? gun snobs probably.
  2. Pokey, my opinion is to get a Ruger mk2. You will never talk Boom out of that S&W. I am not sure about a Mk3. If I was going to get one I think I would get the Ruger Mk1 if I could find a nice one used. But I think the heavier barrel, like the one Boom shoots is more accurate. I am just old school and like the original better.
  3. I wonder about the recoil on the tacticool shotgun Boom. Seems the kick would be centered on the buttstocks hinge. Have you ever shot one like that before? Definitely nice looking piece for sure.
  4. Phantom all your conections were able to fill in a lot of the blanks in the Tower mystery. I never made the connection between yesterdays pumpkin attack and a possible hit on the potentate Great Pumpkin. Those nasty orange beasts needed to be stopped. Way to go Tower! We missed you guys yesterday for sure.
  5. Who can come up with the best scenario as to what has happened to Tower. I will go first. Tower was called back into service for a special spy mission. Mars is acting as his liason on the mission. I believe it involves communication towers. High altitude sniping might be involved. The entire operation will be kept very hush hush. No one involved will ever peak of the details.
  6. Man Scott, you and Cody, with them .270's were putting on a show! Those pumpkins stood no chance. All in all I have no way to estimate how many rounds worth of abuse those things took from everyone combined. Absolute pumpkin carnage! Skeet shooting was awesome too. Especially enjoyable was watching Boomhower with his three piece single shot 20 gauge and the fine shooting displayed buy everyone who shot at those formidable skeets. I believe Phantom schooled us all in the final tally. Mike was a fine shot and an equally fine host. A couple of us got a mulligan on account of pesky safety buttons. But their was no stopping the Phantom. The ICE shoot at the beginning was great fun, I do not know who all would have qualified but Norm (Tarheel ?) did the best. What a Marksman. That entire test was some of the most fun I have ever had shooting. Thanks to Phantom6 for putting us through it. Definitely worth an Honorable Mention was Scott's son shooting the Garand. I never have seen a look on someones face like the one the young man gave on the first shot. I dunno how he kept that stool from falling backward. Was worth the price of admission all on its own. Thanks Phantom for hosting the Powow. I can't wait to do it again next month up in Kingsport and then the Annual Christmas Season Powow in December back in OR.
  7. And there is no record of the man breaking down a door and causing a death among those in a MISTAKEN address.
  8. Scott, feel free to bring what you want. Phantom has a grill that most everyone uses. I would recommend bringing food and drink. I know I get hungry and thirsty while shooting. Targets are welcome too.
  9. My guess is that the homeowner is screwed and if they want the door fixed they better pony up the money. Basically cops can do what they want and whoever they do it to has to live with it.
  10. How does one go about stealing evidence from the police? Especially a gun, it is near impossible to get it back from evidence as it is.
  11. Brian, you got to lay the law down to that wifey of yours I wear the pants in my family and my wife says it is alright for me to say so:love:
  12. Tower might still have the Browning but he doesn't have that holster anymore.
  13. Got the ATF covered in that picture. I was trying to post it into this thread and for whatever reason it was not working. Dunno what was happening as I have posted pics before. And there are only so many poses you can put a pistol in.
  14. i give up
  15. I am a big fan of Blazer Brass ammo for the .45 It is affordable (relatively speaking) and run as agood as any other brand of range ammo through my RIA. RCB, like you I pick up a box or two everytime I am in WalMart, it has gotten to the point that I cannot afford to go to WalMart anymore
  16. Could not tell you that, if i stop there to BS with them tomorrow I will ask. Mark? Can you leave them at my house to test this theory?
  17. Predator and Guns 'n More are out of the same building on Kingston Pike.
  18. I think the UT game is on at 12:30. Broadcast by Jefferson Pilot or whatever it is called nowdays.

  21. Laws are meant for changing.
  22. And wasn't Whitman pinned down or stopped by law abiding citizens who had rifles? The politicos will never understand it. If the woman teacher wants to carry legally she ought to be able to do it. The fact that she is seeking a legal way to do it proves to me that she is not some wacko. If she was a wacko she would already be carrying. More than likely any trouble with her ex would take place in the parking lot and she does deserve the right to protect herself.
  23. I really do not see how Glock refusing to sell its wares in California would hurt the economy of a state the size of California. Their sales must be at best part of a drop in a bucket of Cal's. GSP. And obviously the threat by Glock made no impact on the outcome of this bill. I doubt if all gun makers stopping sales in Cal would change anything. Getting guns out of there is the total intent of this bill anyway.
