Obviously you two have tooooo much time on your hands.

This goes to prove that you should never outrightly plead guilty to any charge. If he had gotten a lawyer at the time it probably could have been pled out or maybe even outright dismissed. If his record was previously clean they certainly would have given him judicial diversion with expungement being an option at the end of the diversion. No doubt the admission of posession is what is costing him his pemit. This admission may also effect his right to own a gun.??? Dotson an open container in my mind would not be a problem, alcohol is not illegal if of age to drink. I do not think an open container charge would be a disqualifier for a permit. My advice is if he wants to get his record cleaned up and restore his rights he will need a very good lawyer now. He should have taken care of this back then.

Not there so with not knowing what was actually happening it is hard to determine what I would have done. I like to think that once a shot was fired I would figure the executions were on and there was nothing to lose by trying to pull the weapon and use it. Even a crappy .32 beats a prayer at that point

I can almost hear the little bugger's parents, " don't go down that street, there is gunfire from that direction all the time, eeek"

do you let others know you carry?

Probably would not have mattered but should he have had his service weapon already drawn. I feel bad for his loved ones, I don't know how you get over things like this. Hopefully the killer will be caught and spend the rest of his life in misery behind bars waiting for the death penalty to be carried out. -
I use the pad on the finger tip, voted fingertip. when shooting the Mosin Nagant I shove the whole sammich clamp in

Not much ground breaking in their telecast. Loved that the first two woman they spoke to in McMinn County were HCP holders. As an aside, the film clips they showed of a HCP class was filmed in the class I took back in June. I even saw myself tonight on the firing line clip they showed, lol, right in front of the camera. I was in camo shorts and BMS shirt. But you all got to see my best side so I doubt I was recognizable.

That is the only thing I miss about subdivisions. I could have sat at the end of the driveway for three hours and probably not seen on trick or treater
-
Eng, did you miss the point about someone else providing the ammo for the gun you left unloaded in the corner? And sorry I do not believe in threatening a kid, what you suggest has nothing to do with that. Not one time have I ever said "do what i say or else" , i have too much respect for the kids in my life.

Normally what I would have done, but because of work I am in Turkey Creek every week and it was more convenient than making a special trip to walmart. And FWIW they never made any phone calls and always had taken my word on what I wanted ammo matched to.
-
Those two are the good guys. And FWIW I think you handle firearms very safely and maturely.

Give it ten days Canyn, I bet your HCP comes within two weeks.

Dicks is not really going to compete with GM. To me they are aimed at a different market. Dicks for sure is not going to sell handguns, and the Dicks out in West Hills has a very limited selection of long guns. More often than not it reminds me of a KMart where you have to hunt down someone to help you with ammo. With GM not price matching I now have no reason to go to Turkey Creek other than if I need to deliver wine and liquor. I seriously doubt I will ever set foot in GM again. And to be honest that is fine with me. I despise Turkey Creek and all that is stands for.

Nothing wrong with a Mauser.

I made it through the first hour and then said the heck with it. Too much BS. Usually the show moves fairly fast. Not the live special. I think they said that in the next two weeks they will show more from it. I assume it will be faster paced. I saw the recap a few weeks ago from last years show at that sanitorium and it was one of their better shows.

What if 20 million illegal aliens went back home to Mexico

I imagine the economy would survive, but I guarentee hell will freeze over before they leave. -
So did the ghosthunters actually come up with anything besides the ball rolling around? I agree with the comments about the ECW wrestler. The guy has no credentials to be on a ghost hunting show. Sorry but being an ex LEO ( if that is even true) is not a reason. The real reason is Sci-Fi televises ECW and they are trying to pump up those ratings by maybe drawing some viewers. what is ECW doing on SciFi anyway ? What a crock. take good entertainment and ruin it. Now maybe if Sabu was on Ghost Hunters it might have been better.

I agree with you Dotson. I only ever bought ammo there that they price matched. No way would I pay 29.00 for 100 rounds of 40.S&W WWB when Wallworld has it for 21.00 A 550 Ct. Box of Remington Golden Bullet is more than 14.00 there and less than 12 at Wallmart. I am disappointed that they dropped price matching. I wonder how much longer Bass Pro will keep on doing it now.

halloween is a bust around here. We do not bother with buying candy. There is no way any parent in their right mind would send a kid back our driveway to trick or treat. I will say it is the only thing I do not like about where we live. I also dig on Ghost Hunters. I watch it most every Wednesday night. Can't wait til the live episode comes on at 9:00. It isn't often that something really happens so I hope they get lucky tonight.

I am just big on not calling magazines high capacity. My S&W has a 16 shot standard capacity mag, I preferred that mag over the low capacity one that holds less rounds. I guess if a mag held 80 rounds I might be good with that being a hi cap

There, fixed it for ya;)
