  1. Nice topic but I hope his actual thesis is more convincing than this.
  2. Jeez man, you are gonna make either overthemountain and canyn stroke out with that comment,
  3. Ricks, thanks for the directions Wideners. I really need to go there and see what they have with my own eyes. I really find it difficult to look at 18 brands of bullets on their website. And from Mark picking up reloading supplies for me I know firsthand it is cheaper, and they will have what i need. Good luck with the 'puter Mark. Looking forward to seeing you Saturday. Ricks Hope you are coming too!
  4. I thought for sure when I saw you posted that it had come today. You'll know it is the permit or denial anyway by the Nashville return address on it. Hang in there it will be along soon enough.
  5. SH thanks for the offer, Where is Spring Hill?
  6. oops Thanks for catching that Boom, the number is 228-8451 No wonder no one ever calls me, I fixed it on my original post as well.
  7. phantom can you recommend anyone in our area?
  8. Dotson, I have a Novak that came with the RIA and a Wilson Combat I bought seperate. Feel free to try them both this weekend up in Kingsport.
  9. The big things I found using the Lee Loader is that, 1, It is a quality product, nothing cheap about it, just inexpensive. And that 2, you will need to set the bullet seater and lock nut with some kind of thread locking compound to insure that the bullet stays at the same depth into the casing round after round. I found that even though I would use a wrench and vice to tighten the lock nut that it would move around with a few blows of the mallet. Not so critical on rounds for a revolver but I believe more so for an auto loader. I also recommend a sturdy wood block to use as a base for strikes with the mallet. IE: don't go using the dining room table to do this on, lol. You will need a mallet and caliper, both of which I got at good old Harbor Freight (which musicman already mentioned) , then just follow the instructions that come included. There is even a recipe booklet for matching bullet weight and what powders to use. I found I rather enjoyed this methodical method of reloading. Took me about 90 minutes to make the last 60 rounds I reloaded on Sunday. Now I am hooked, hopefully I will buying Dotsons old Lee press this weekend. Then it is more lead, powder and dies.
  10. Same thing I thought, too funny. Anyway Welcome to the forum, get out there and post some opinions and or facts.
  11. I like to log the date, how many rounds, what type of ammo etc. I also note if something of exception happens. Oy, here we go again. Dotson ever stirring the pot. I am laughing considering what happened to some other thread.
  12. To me what is really scary is that an awful lot of the population is only a few weeks/months away from being homeless. Meaning that these people work and do pay bills but if something happened to their job or a catastrophic illness happened they could lose everything and be out on the street.
  13. Greg, try the Lee Loader. You can buy it from a lot of places over the internet for around $15. I use one now for making .357 Mag rounds and it is fairly easy albeit a litte tedious to use. But most definitely accurate and inexpensive along with very safe. here is a link to it from Cabelas http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat602007-cat20847&id=0003091210526a&navCount=1&podId=0003091&parentId=cat20847&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=2UG&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat20847&hasJS=true
  14. I have read and re-read this so many times it makes my head spin. I am clueless as to how it cannot be interpreted that 2A allows for people to have guns. To me it is a no brainer.Hopefully the Supremes will not hear this case.
  15. I was not even aware that I can't carry a long gun. I guess I don't need to worry about how to best conceal the Mosin Nagant anymore.
  16. That is correct. As you turn right onto Washington Pk the gas station is just to the left. If anyone gets to the Home Depot they went a little too far. My phone number is 228-8451 if anyone needs to call for further co-ordination. I will be there shortly after 9 am. So don't yall be afraid of coming early. In case any of you coming don't know me I will be the fat guy in the red Ford pick up. Anybody else want to come? Some of you newer members ought to join us.
  17. Eddie, why are they dismissed, are any reasons listed? Please no speculation here. Shouldn't the public be raising hell about it? I have my doubts about a fence working very effectively without ample armed patrols that actually have authority to do something. Maybe Mars can lend the border patrol some of his mines!
  18. I would like to leave the Breadbox/Shell by 9:30 at the latest. Count me as one, and my nephew as a maybe. Have not heard from him yet as to if he is coming down for sure or not. CAS and his posse is supposed to be meeting us there. So as of this post I guess it is three cars. Dunno about Dotson. Stevie Wonder might be coming too as the Shell is so easy to find.
  19. fixed it, lol
  20. I thought maybe you were gonna plate the hardware on Sue's pink carbine. lol
  21. Stevie Wonder could find it Cody. I am guessing you all will come south on I-75, then head east on I-640. washington pike would be the second exit you come to.
  22. Breadbox store on the corner at the Washington Pike exit off of I-640 eastbound. The Breadbox/Shell Station would be to the right at the intersection at the end of the exit ramp. Basically, exit at Washington Pike, turn right onto Washington Pike, turn left into Breadbox/Shell.
  23. there is this place. I have shot there before. it is free too. http://www.twraregion4.org/TWRAWmas/ChuckSwanWMA.htm Did you check out the threads on out montlhy shoots. we got one coming up on the 17th, you are more than welcome to come. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2462

  25. Why buy targets? copier paper in 8.5X11 or 8.5X17 along with a magic marker works very well for inexpensive targets. I like to draw smiley faces on them wrong piece of paper for that, I believe it is the Bill of Rights you mean.
