  1. that is a great point Eddie. now I have to carry two extra mags when I was just going with the 16 rounds in one.
  2. +1 I prefer .45ACP and .357mag
  3. Revolvers are works of art. Just imagine how great they would be if JMB had invented them.
  4. I don't like the 125 grains either. I think you would be best to follow Rabbi's advise. Post a pic of the gun here, no wheelgun snobs here to make fun of it.
  5. How do you shoot the golfs balls? Does it harm the golfs? Or are the balls already removed?
  6. Which employee? Is he now an ex-employee?
  7. Just because a cop can't hit what he shoots at does not mean that a HCP holder can't. Cops don't shoot for a living. Maybe I am wrong but I think HCP holders actively practice their shooting more so than cops do. As for extra rounds I say whatever you are comfortable carrying is good. I keep extra ammo in the truck and I hope the 16 rounds in my 9mm mag will be enough.

wholesale wine and spirits distribution here

  10. Deerslayer, not to speak for Mars but I think it is obvious he is speaking about people he associates with on a professional basis.
  11. I carry a backpack filled with some basic camping gear, enough food for three days and a change of clothes appropriate for the season along with some foul weather gear too. There is always some extra ammo for either handgun I might carry inside the truck too.
  12. I am not sure about the stance the guy has, maybe it is just the angle the pic was taken but his legs look kind of awkward. I don't know about the empty chamber thing either, but that has been covered by several posters here. One in the pipe will work better for me being that I am old and slow. I once saw a video of a US military person who was able to rack his handgun using the holster as he drew the weapon. Seemed he did it faster than most people can just plain old get their weapon out of a holster. As for the bickering here, I find it entertaining usually.
  13. what were they?
  14. I wish CAIR would just disappear. Bunch of loonies in my opinion. It drives me crazy when people like this are in our country and want to use our freedoms to end our freedoms. Not to hijack a thread, but rather expand upon it now. With 2A and all, there is always speculation as to what the framers meant by their words. So lets expand on that principle now. Did the framers, with their freedom of religion convictions forsee these freedoms applying to non-christian religions? Could they even imagine non-christian religions being here? Could they have comprehended how non-christian religions would impact this country?
  15. I've seen Deerslayers avitar on other forums too.
  16. So mostly I figure it is an idiot pulling the trigger, the lack of a safety does not matter. With a safety they would have just disengaged it and then still shot someone.
  17. I must have missed some things. I do not recall any accidental shootings with a Glock. The only things I remember reading are where someone accidently shoots themselves while cleaning it. IMHO my forefinger should be the only safety I need. And because of that I do not want to carry a gun that needs its safety disengaged but rather want one that takes effort to pull the trigger
  18. Would any castle type laws here in TN protect a homeowner from a civil suit should their dog protect them in a similar manner?
  19. That is what I was told. I don't know but maybe he ought to follow up on it. I do not think I would trust some clerk to make sure things were expunged. That is basically what I was told as well. But further that it would only show up as me having contact with the court but for all they knew it might have been as a witness. And the contact with the court was in no way a strike against me. Only if I needed some top security clearance would it then show up. So I guess my moonlight career as a CIA agent is now out the window.
  20. Sarah, what you asked me is correct. The only one of those that IS substitutable is the .38 special in a .357 magnum. And the .38 is very acceptable for self defense, just to be clear. Somebody said I say we, at least the guys here, all know why our wrists and forearms are stronger, yikes
  21. Yeah Rudy loves guns, he would love to take them away from you and me.
  22. While I do not agree with how the Fed's handled this case I do believe Elian belonged with his remaining living parent. The relatives in little Havana were using the boy as much as Fidel hoped too. They had a house paid for by a Cuban anti Castro group, they were given jobs and a ton of notoriety. What should have been done was to bring the father to Miami and then let him decide where he would rather be. The entire incident was abotu polotics, I doubt any of them really gave two craps about that 5 year old, especially Janet Reno.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
  23. I think if the moron had only taken one shot, or even if he had taken the four shots but stayed put wherever he was and laid low for a while he would have pulled it off without getting busted. Isn't there an old saying about " one shot, one busted camera" ? I have a hard time believing that there is no alcohol charge involved here.

    Seecamp?

I was finally able to shoot Booms P3AT yesterday at a little impromptu shoot out in my woods. We terrorized the last pumpkin of the season here as well. Dang thing did nto stand a chance against Boom and myself. Anyway I enjoyed the feel of the P3AT. While it felt small in my hand it and it took effort to grip it properly it fired very accurately. Also there were no misfires misfeeds. Nothing but bangs and lead on target after pulling the trigger. I am hoping to get to shoot a mag out of Phantoms Seecamp at the next shoot. To make a proper comparison. (see thread about useless guns) http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showpost.php?p=34863&postcount=32
  25. Mark, if she takes that class where she said she was they have handguns of various calibers available for use by students. I am betting they will put a revolver in her hand or a .22 target pistol.
