  4. Brian you posted up Airplane, the jive talk scene.
  5. All you people that are here illegally need to get the heck out and go away. This place is about free enterprise and capitalism. The economy would adjust to the illegal immagrants leaving. someone would fill those jobs. The Fair Tax would help solve illegals getting a free ride if it was ever implimented.
  6. Frank, not to doubt you or anything but what I posted is theinstructions I was given by Hi-Point to ship the firearm. To the OP better disregard my post then, I imagine Frank does know.
  7. whats the number for 911? Maybe get that and program it in the speed dial so dialing 911 does not make the phone got battsnot.
  8. Anyone going to the gun show in Chilhowee Dec, 28, 29, 30 ? I am thinking about going on the 30th. Maybe the 29th if I do not have to haul liquor that day.
  9. Quote: Hi-Point snob or just not able to get them? j/k You are too far from here anyway. Would use $75 in gas to make the trip.
  10. You mentioned lifetime warranty so I am going with it being a Hi-Point. Nothing wrong with their guns, I have one and it is very reliable. Since you are shipping it back I assume it does not work. Ship it UPS and mark the box visibly with the words "Machined Parts" It is non-operable so therefore not a viable firearm. The manufacterer will ship it via UPS directly back to you. How do I know this? I helped a buddy ship his Hi-Point carbine back for warranty work and my description in the previous paragraph was how it was handled. Those were the instruction I was given by the H-P rep when I called them to get return instructions. PS: the package containing "machined parts" will save you money on shipping vs. it being a gun. If it is broke it is not a gun. And FWIW the gun was sent and returned repaired in 13 days. Okay I am slow and I just re-read your post and saw the "JA" thing. I will assume Jiminez works the same as H-P and you can do it as per my instructions.
  11. Nothing wrong with buying at a gun show. Key is knowing price points and being aware of what you should pay for any particular firearm. Gun shows are great for seeing a buttload of roscoes all in one place and pretty much you can fondle what you want. I have seen the same pistols priced good and outrageous at the same shows. You have to look around at all the tables before buying unless you know what you are looking at is a good deal. I have seen great deals at gunshows.
  12. Aww c'mon you know you looked. And so you know in case you did not look it is nothing your kids could not see. G rated pretty much
  13. No worries 2HOW, Merry Christmas right back to you!
  14. GMTA, first thing through my mind was how I had no luck getting a S&W to put out, LOL Having had much better luck getting some off of a Ruger. And yep see the Rabbi, or maybe S&W's website.
  15. why such a light bullet? wouldn't a heavier round be more effective?
  16. Like Mars said they have odd hours. I have only been there once but I like the place, I just wish it was closer. They have a website and it will tell you if the item is in stock or not. I did not see a no gun sign. I guess I was just not being very observant.
  17. So someone explain this crimping stuff. My Lee loading information says that "Bullets should not be crimped in for most rimless cases such as the 45 ACP, blah, blah, blah...." it goes on to explain that crimping will "permit the case to enter to far and cause misfires, JAMS and possibly excessive pressures."
  18. yeah, how do they do that back and forth stuff. Seems it would be an sweful big risk to go back to the motherland and then risk getting caught coming back through the wire. It must be very easy to do.
  19. yanno, it must be for your own good.
  20. Where does this come from? Leftovers from store bought rounds or brass purchased by itself? How do you polish it? Dotsun says I thought .45ACP used no crimp???? Using the Lee loader I have it does not crimp either. Did you order the recoil spring? Not that it would help if the casing will not fit in the chamber though. What length is your finished cartridge?
  21. My son and his wife moved to AZ back in the spring. They seem to like it there(Chandler). He had never mentioned a problem with immigrants or any problems with people at all. Very unlike their opinion of East Tn. I like the idea that the gov't is forcing business owners to comply with laws, Sounds like it might be a nice place to live. If we ever relocate again I am sure AZ would be high on the list if for no other reason than to be nearer my son and his family.
  22. Out of curiosity can anyone site an incident where a firearm would have been beneficial to have in the SMNP. I am not talking about interaction with bears or hippos or anything of that ilk, but rather a bad guy incident. We go there fairly often on day trips and I try to be aware at all times. I do a lot of people watching and it looks like a place for easy pickings there. Most people are looking at scenery or whatnot and not really paying attention to who is in their surroundings.
  23. congrats on the new purchase. Glad to see you moved up from the 9mm rounds. Now there is more ammo to keep on hand too, so you got that going for you. i can see the prgression here now, next you will be bitten by the 1911 bug so as to need some .45ACP on hand at all times. Show us a pic of yours, maybe a family photo even.
  24. Stop shooting once the threat is over. You do not shoot to kill or to wound, but only to stop the threat. Death may be a result of you stopping the threat, that is not your problem. I believe the Castle Doctrine protects you from civil lawsuits in these instances.
  25. Canyn you might want to look into this for you dress concealed carry http://www.costumecraze.com/image.php?imagefile=http://img.costumecraze.com/images/vendors/forum/20109-large.jpg
