  1. Up to the point that a cop is asking for my drivers license I see no need to inform him of anything about me. Once he asks for a drivers license I am going to inform him of my permit and ask him how to proceed. I really do not trust that all cops have all the training and job skills we hope they have.
  2. James I use accurate #2 for rolling my .357mags. Seems to work pretty well.
  3. I spent new years eve in Gatlinburg and while one can carry there I chose to leave the gun behind. Being new years eve I was pretty sure that adult beverages would be flowing and there might be a bar or two on the agenda. And I was right of course. Sometimes to live you gotta live on the edge a little. heh! We did have some excitement. I was hanging with a nephew and his posse. They are all in the 21-22 years old range. Mostly they are good kids but like most their ages they are all about some beer when on these trips. We were on top of a parking garage to watch the ball drop and see the fireworks. Some do-gooder stuck his nose in their business and called the police complaining that these kids were all underage and were drinking. The cop who responded was kind of a dick at first but once he carded two of the kids and saw they were old enough he calmed down some. I assured him that two other of the guys were sober as judges and were designated drivers. Which they were. I know one thing for sure, my old butt can't keep up with kids more than half my age. Glad you made it back Eddie and utarch.
  4. Yes, near as I can tell EMF is an importer. I have asked around on some other boards as well. I am not 100% sure but it is believed that they refine a NIB Pieta to smooth out any rough spots. As for Pieta guns they are Italian and considered a notch below Uberti. The pistol from EMF costs about 5% over where I can get it from other sources but I am not to worried about 10 to 15 dollars on it.
  5. abaily beat me to it, was just googling for a pic from that movie. I would have pulled a chair and a couple of beers out there and watched. And besides all that, how is possessing a paddle illegal? Had to be something else going on.

    GO TITANS

I hate the Titans. I am so happy my crappy team beat the stuffing out of them.
  8. 17 bucks and change after tax
  9. is there an echo in here?
  10. My wife makes buffaloe chicken dip but uses chicken out of a can. Not worth the trouble to use fresh chicken. We had it last night and it was awesome.
  11. I don't think I would be buying a gun i suspected was hot. I don't need a receipt or anything but usually I can get a feel for someone. I might be wrong but my gut instinct is usually right. Someone appears a little shifty, chances are they are up to no good.
  12. Druids?
  13. Aside from the fact that you must be rich, what you paid is about a inexpensive as it gets for foteys. The prices you cited are the same as they are here at WalMart
  14. christians are known to be very free with the green.
  15. Absolutely 100% false
  16. I would say it is MORE than possible. maybe not the front page but you will be in the paper. You want this to be part of your 15 minutes? truer words were never spoken.
  17.
  18. Ask him if he is prohibited. If he is not then take the money, give him the gun. It's all the law requires.
  19. DO NOT be foolish and carry before receiving your permit. Carrying without it and getting caught will cause you to be charged with possessing an illegal weapon with the intent to go armed. It is a Class A misdomeaner but with it comes being forbid from having a carry permit and being forbid from purchasing firearms. That charge is one misdomeaner that prohibits you from being a gun owner. At best getting caught will cause you to be jailed until bail is posted and you will need an attorney to resolve the charge. If you actually are carrying you will be in a boatload of legal trouble. A Class A misdomeaner also carries the possible penalty of 11 months and 29 days of jail time. I speak from first-hand experience. The only thing that saved me is I was not guilty of the offense and it was dismissed in court. Still it cost me a large legal bill and months of angst and grief. Do not do this.
  20. Anyone know anything about this company? I think I have settled on buying this in a steel frame. http://www.emf-company.com/1858-remington-army-revolver.htm Maybe it will ease my aching heart over my 1851 Navy
  21. I feel ya here but these days you gotta watch that treatment. It is conceivable that charges might come at you and of course with those type of charges you could be saying goodbye to gun ownership. It's a screwed up world we live in anymore.
  22. Pokey, bring it to the next shoot if you can make it. I picked up a Remington Sportsman Pump 12 a few years ago at a pawn shop and have been able to find very little info on it. Mine is a nice pumper and I bet yours is too.
  23. shooting dogs is fine but no hippos or UPS men, lol. UPS delivering to your offices would seem like having a pepsi machine at the coke distributor. LOL I wore a Jack Daniels shirt to work once, mostly to tease my boss. We don't carry Jack btw, he did not think it was funny, but I sure did LOL

    Springfield EMP

  25. Nero and Mars pretty well explained it then.
