  1. The teams I like and dislike have finished their seasons now. I would kind of like to see the Pats run the table. I have not seen a team do this for a long time. I am indifferent about all the teams that are left but I would just as soon see Dallas and indy get beat. Can't stand how they shove the Colts and Peyton (bow when you say his name boy) down throats here in Knoxville.

    GO TITANS

All in all a very enjoyable game. Hainsworth might be an animal on the field but sometimes that guy is a real liability. Who know how this would have played out had he exhibited self control. Encroachment then clocking the QB, not good.

    GO TITANS

    cue the fat lady

    what would you buy

why wouldn't you use the same gun to carry and set on the nightstand? Is a nightstand gun better than a carry gun? Do you want a lesser gun for one than the other?
  5. Maybe they can cater in some chinese for you
  6. Another year older but I doubt any wiser Happy Birthday Brandon, hope you get a gun or something!

    what would you buy

some people can't handle the truth
  8. but I don't care. Only one team I dislike more than them Titans and they got beat tonight. Woohoo, I hate the Steelers, way to go Jacksonville!! Go Chargers too!
  9. You younger guys have it made now days. DVR's digital cable, remote controls. I remember not even having a TV when I was a young child. Our first one, black and white and three channels only. Finally got a color set in about 1968 or so. And that freakin thing must have weighed 300 lbs. Of course I also walked to school back then in the snow, uphill bothways, carrying a baked potato to keep my hands warm. Potato was also doubling as lunch. Hands cold on the way home from school.
  10. I am following you Mars. The one round James made is a little shorter than I make them but not to the point of being unsafe. He could go a little longer and that is easy enough to do by a simple adjustment of the bullet seater. I prefer to stick with less than fully loaded cartridges as I only roll my own for range blasting, targets and what not. No sense pushing things to extremes for that use. Anything I am carrying has store bought JHP's only. The loads James is going to make are also well below maximum for the powder he is using. We got that straight over the phone last night.
  11. All I know for sure is the networks can take a flying leap at a rolling donut if they think I care about watching. No way am I buying a TV just so they can shove advertisment down my throat.
  12. My loader data makes no mention of minimum length. I try to stay at about 1.2580 and for the most part I am near it every time. Your loads are well below the max so you will be fine at the length I have mentioned. I believe a jacketed bullet builds less pressure than a non jacketed bullet.
  13. This may have been covered but I am not going back and re-reading it all. How can you tell if you TV is already able to accept digital signals? All the TV's we have in our house work with the digital cable signal now and worked previously with Dish Network. I wonder if this whole thing is pretty much a non issue.
  14. I just measured some of my .357's. I checked store bought 158 gr.Hydra Shoks and they were 1.559 in length. Ones I have made were in between 1.570 and 1.586. The majority of the ones I just checked were right around 1.580. My loader makes no mention of minimum overal length, just max. I think the one you made is fine but I would try to get it a tenth or so longer. Should be easy enough to do. You may need a different mallet of the one you are using seems insufficient. I got one from Harbor Freight for about 6 bucks I think. It has a metal handle and a two sided head. One side is rubber the other is some kind of plastic.
  15. Any case lube will work fine I guess. I am sure you noticed the difference on getting the casing in and out of the die. I think the length you are at is fine, you are under maximum by a couple of hundreths so it should be no problem. My .357's are always under max length too. Don't be using that steel headed hammer for anything. The wooden mallet ought to be enough for doing this. You definitely do not want anything sparking while you have powder around.
  16. I thought it was a Glock? Aren't they some kind of gift from God, never needs cleaning and all that jazz? what is a Gucci round?
  17. I am not so sure about the sherriffs office turning in paperwork for you. I took it through a sherriffs training center and I still had to go to TDOS and do my part. Also if for some reason you get the HCP application and take it with you to turn in at a later date, DO NOT sign it until you are in front of an agent at TDOS. They have to see you sign it.
  18. you lost me with the "baby" comeback Dave.
  19. just a plain old handgun carry permit, HCP, here in TN and welcome to the board

    what would you buy

Dude, you used to be all about that Sigma, now you are looking to dump it, tsk, tsk, tsk...
  21. Been nothing posted here in a while. I just want to verify we will be in Oak Ridge on January 19? Same time as before 10:00 AM ? Who is coming?
  22. while not part of the crew you aimed this question at I would venture a guess that spending gifted X-mas money contributes to a high number of guns purchased.
  23. If others from that TDOS location had a similar problem it makes me wonder if someone working there is not a big fan of HCP's.

    I want one!

Anything commemerating John Wayne is in good taste. I doubt I would buy one of them though. If I have a gun I want to shoot it. I would not want one of them pens either but if I had one I would write with it.
