  1. I ain't particularly worried about it. My boss and I were talking and he has a buddy that has a class 3 permit and a couple or more automatic guns. I mentioned about the amount of ammo they could run through and he said something to the effect of this guy has a lot of rounds on hand. It just made me wonder if there was a law about it. I have been looking but can't find anything.
  2. I am with Dave, I bet it is a local or county ordinance. If not local then state. How many of us have 1000's of rounds? I bet there are people here with tens of thousands. Gotta be a law somewhere.
  3. Don't know if this is the right place so if not a mod can move it I guess. Does anyone know, or know where to look for information concerning how many rounds of ammunition a person may legally keep in their residence? What about cans of smokeless or black powder, primers etc..? Is there limitations?
  4. Can't predict what did not happen.
  5. What do you run? I was a letter pressman from way back in the day. Yikes time goes by fast. 7 years of that is just a blip anymore.
  6. I always thought that the danger in a Glock was the non fully supported chamber with a .40S&W round, and the fact you need to pull the trigger as the first step in a takedown of the weapon. Same method I use on my Sigma.
  7. Urse thats funny here is what I found
  8. Tower did you ever think about getting her an ultra nice high quality heavy barrel .22? If she can plink shot gun hulls from three hundred yards with that it might pacify her a little.
  9. Rabbi is right on with that last post. I was pretty politically active in the 70's and I remember Watergate and I remember Tricky Dick like it was yesterday. " I am not a crook" . In Cincy we did not have gas lines too bad but there were times where you had to drive past a station or two to get gas without a big wait. WIN buttons, LOL I had one, never wore it. Your post hits the nail on the head. The 90's and current time is like a Golden Era compared to back then. Disco ,lol In college i worked co-op at a disco. "Lighthouse Ltd." right next to the University of Cincinnati campus. That place hopped, packed every night of the week. One the weekends there would be a line half way up the block to get in. Lots of hot girls though so there were benefits.
  10. obviously I am wrong I will go and remove my posts on this subject. But I tell you one thing Mikey, I do not believe your little anecdote happened for one second. That line is straight from Blazing Saddles and you botched a quote from there in another thread..
  11. Tower you are mean welcome to the forum, and as far as I am concerned feel free to type in any font, color caps combination you choose. Become an active member here! I am not sure that a handgun safety course is the same as a HCP course. Maybe it is???? Surely they would have explained how to go about the application process. Maybe you can call where you took it at for further explanation.
  12. I know a couple of people that will not eat microwaved food. One explained it that there is a lot of question about what actually happens to food on the moleculer (sp) level when it is nuked. of course you do not read about this stuff in main stream media.
  13. I don't want to doubt the validity of the Op but I am pretty sure I have seen this pic before on another forum back in the summer. Anyway it is a good reminder to be careful.
  14. Not a big fan of King George II, did not watch it. I have heard enough of his spiel before.
  15. I was wanting to go to this one, and if it had been at the Expo Center I may have gone. Never been to Chilhowee before. Spent my money already anyway ordering stuff from Dixie and from Midway. I enjoy gun shows. I find it fun to walk around and see all the guns and gear they are hawking there. The admission fee is not a deal breaker, but it does take ten bucks out of my pocket I would spend on geegaws there. Maybe i will make the next one.
  16. Cody, shooting tins would be a euphimism for shooting tin cans. another way of saying target shooting I guess.
  17. Atomic is a handgun safety class the same as a carry permit class? I assume some places teach more maybe than the basic HCP class. I know when you take a HCP class from Phantom6 included in that is the NRA Basic Pistol course. Maybe MJP is teaching something similar to that. It would account for needing more rounds. And from what little I know there is some lee-way on how a course is taught and what is required to pass.
  18. Was Caroline's statement a general one, or did she go into specifics? I can see only one comparison. Both are/were senators. And I am not really sure what Obama has accomplished while in the Senate. How much time is the guy even spending there? I would guess all the Kennedy's were running around a little back in the day. Presently a mental picture of Teddy in his b-day suit is fairly unsettling, lol.
  19. I am the adult beverage purveyor. I was in the golf business for twenty years and that led me into being the warehouse manager for one of East Tn's wine and spirits distributors. It ain't what you know, it is who you know.
  20. Aside from gunplay I enjoy camping, fishing, riding the quads, spending time with the grandkids. Can drinking beer be a hobby? If so add that to the list. When I am in the mood I dig on cooking. Mostly a perfect weekend is when all the hobbys can be combined.
