I am pretty sure with Verizon you can set up your phone to only accept calls from listings in your contact list. I might be wrong but I know my boss had to set his fathers cell phone up for that way of operating.

Been nice and warm here today, got off work early, took a quad ride and got some shooting in. Fixing to fire up the grill. I wish every day was today!

Mike.357 replied to Marswolf's topic in Events and Gatherings
Looking forward to some Big Ed's and slinging some .454 lead balls at them steel plates! With the plates I won't have to wait for the smoke to clear to know if I hit my target! Now the tough decision, whether to bring the Mosin or the SKS, hmmm -

So where is it ruled that Shannon is a girls name? Pretty lame to try to rip on someone based on what their name is. That's pretty freakin' weak. Mars I did not know your first name was Beauregard!

two years ago whe we had our taxes done the CPA itemized, we were barely over the amount needed to do that. Last year they did their thing again and we did not have enough to itemize. The only thing that changed was a few dollars in interest payed on the mortgage. For me if it saved my tax debt one dollar I would do it. The gov't is wasting our money and I will not give them one red cent more than I have to.

Thats alright, I don't mind Eli and I like Archie way back in the day. As long as Peyton (bow when you say that boy) was not in the game I was happy!

I can see the headline in the News Sentinel tomorrow. Peyton Manning's Brother Wins Super Bowl Not an offensive game and pretty boring in the first three quarters. But the fourth quarter made up for it. Ended up being entertaining. Did not really see any commercials that stood out to me. Danica Patrick is hot but the commercial was a little weak. I guess the '72 Dolphins can pop their champagne this year after all.

I have to deal with them when we deliver downtown. I use several methods. Usually I give them a nasty look and just firmly shake my head no and keep moving. Another is to pat my pockets and say sorry I have nothing. I find looking pissed off usually stops them from even speaking. -
I am using Pyrodex, 20 grains and .454 or .451 round lead balls. Basically I load it like this. 20 grains of Pyro, top off cylinder with some instant grits, seat the ball, cover balls with Crisco. Topping off the cylinder with grits puts the ball just below the edge of the cylinder and allows for full compression of everything in the cylinder. This has made the revolver more accurate than I initially thought it was. Too much fun to shoot. The Pyro is a little cleaner than BP but just as smokey

I use a prgram called GunSafe version 2.8. It was freeware I found somewhere. I have had it on the computer since back in the summer with no ill effects. It holds all pertinent information as well as photos. It keeps info on Make, model, serial number, caliber, finish, barrel length, stock, condition, value, where and when it was purchased, purchase price, current value, info if you sell something, manufacture date, sights, maintenance records and more. All sorts of stuff. I like it especially for the photo records it can hold. I just Googled it and found it, Here is the link if anyone is interested http://www.somanyroads.org/gunsafe/

Bob Corker Speaks Out Against the $150 Billion Stimulus Package
Mike.357 replied to waynesan's topic in General Chat
Since this would be a national sales tax all online vendors would collect it, just like it is now if you buy from a vendor online in TN. They collect TN sales tax. -
I look forward to the Super Bowl and watch it every year. I will probably wait until 6PM to tune into to any of it. I really do not have a rooting interest in this game. But it is about the last football game there will be to watch until August. I like history and if the Pat's win there will be history made, so I am kind of rooting for them a bit. But if they lose I will not lose sleep over it. Pats 38 Giants 21

SB3395 and HB3245 Ammunition Accountability Act
Mike.357 replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I contacted my senator and representative about these bills. I urged them to use any and all influence they have in putting a stop to it. Does it have a chance of becoming law? Sure it does. Odds are that it won't but the odds increase that it won't if you take time to contact your elected officials and express your viewpoint. -
Interesting that republicans are threatening not to go vote. Usually poor voter turnout hurts the Dem's but it looks the other way this time. McCain may well end up nominated but he will send the country down the tubes at a slower pace than Hillary or Obama can.

Mars if you can make it, lunch is on me! If I have to come to Kingsport you are buying Boom that really does look like you, is it not you? -
Metal, you posting on this board about your permit status is starting to make me nervous. What are you not telling us about your past??? I am just kidding. It will come soon enough. Really having a HCP is kind of a let down after a few months, I ain't needed to shoot nobody yet. Don't know about Canyn though Sorry did not see your post about the RIA, don't call it crappy dude. I have an RIA in a real mans size and I love it. All 1911's need some tweaking so don't be suprised if yours does too. Get a bunch of ammo to shake it down with. It is a pretty pistol for sure my man. Love the grips!
