  1. Don't do it! j/k Congrat's
  2. it was our pleasure shooting with you ricks. Glad you could make it out and hope we see you again at the next shoot.
  3. I am not so much against the new body on the cars but I dislike that any of the things that make the cars unique from manufacterer to manufacterer is gone. Aside from a decal on the front bumper they are all the same. I wish they would make them run cars with bodies that are more similar to what is in the showrooms, they could still do modifications for safety. But at least give the cars individuality again. I would also prefer the get rid of spoilers (wings) and air dams. Put skinnier tires on the cars that force drivers to use brakes to make it through turns. I don't know how feasible it is really but I bet it could be done. I won't be watching next week in Fontana, tooooo boring. Makes me mad, they dumped Rockingham, and only one race at Darlington to run twice in California now. Watch camera angles of the stands too. Lots of empty seats out there. The TV networks are limited on how much of the grandstands they can show anymore. all tracks are losing attendance and NASCAR execs do not want it seen on TV. Daytona and Bristol being exceptions, not many unused tickets there. Anyway I am glad the drought between football and racing is over. Brian I wold liked to have been in the 17 car garage after him and the 6 got together. I bet there will be fireworks at the garage on Monday. Pretty much a boneheaded move on Ragans part. I still can't believe Robby Gordon got a top ten, maybe they put some Jim Beam in the tank!
  4. Dave so am I to understand that you canot take your legally owned rifles or handguns to Illinois ( not Chicago) even if stored properly in your trunk? Wow, if that is the case it is fairly well screwed up. Glad I don't go back there anymore. And I agree it is not worth the risk of arrest and gun confiscation.
  5. I much prefer the transfer bar. Can load six that way and not have to worry so much about the empty cylinder thing.
  6. I seriously doubt a lot of people leave Illinois over firearms laws. Dave why do you need a FOID card anymore anyway?
  7. LOL Dang Boom them pics about killed my browser. If someone here has dial up their computer is probably fried.
  8. todays race ended up being pretty good. Very exciting last few laps. I still can't figure out how Jeff Burton went from first to thirteenth in one lap at the end. I was rooting for him since his wife is hot and they were going to show a lot of her, lol. My predictions did not pan out too well. I suspect I would have hit it a little closer had Johnson not got involved with trouble on the backstretch. At least MM beat Kenseth And we can all be thankful that the Shrub did not win. There is a great track up in New Tazewell. It is a high bank dirt track that bills itself as the worlds fastest 1/3 mile. I have been there several times and it is a great nights worth of entertainment. And as Mars said you will come away wearing a layer of dirt. But it washes off and is worth it. strick asked Competition my friend. Just like any sport. A bunch of people competing and one walking away the winner.
  9. I was the same way, I guess we are ready for wheelchairs and walkers. Probably it was from the excitement and good times had by everyone there. I did manage to get all my stuff cleaned up but it took a lot of time as I did not have the energy to work fast. I do confess the Model 60 got the barrel mopped out but not much else. All the rest got the normal takedown, cleaning and oiling. Big Ed's was pretty good but not "all that", it was alright and was fun sitting, talking and eating with everyone. Austin, I stand by my comments that those shoes are the "stupidest looking things I have ever seen", but if nothing else it added to the laughs for the day. Can't wait to do it again.
  10. One of the couple of NASCAR races I will not miss seeing. This is the week of the year I really miss living in Florida. If we were still there I would have been in Daytona off and on for the last week, and would be there right now. So who do you all like in todays race. My favorite is Mark Martin so I am rooting for him. Not so sure he can win unless the stars line up and the planets are aligned right. But he "da man":D My top three picks are Little Dale, Smoke and JJ. Dotson, Kenseth will come in 40th, LOL!! and if you are hating on NASCAR start your own thread. Can't wait til they roll out.
  11. Everywhere I have ever lived, (4 different metro areas) people always talked about distance in terms on time it takes to get there. I have never heard the coke thing around here but I did hear it in Texas once. Learned all about fire ants in S. Fla. Still the bit is pretty fun and true too.

It is their state and their right to choose I guess. I also guess a lot of this attitude comes from the local media in Chicago being liberal, King Richard's anti gun stance, and having it constantly blasted into your brain that guns are bad. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
  13. I wonder how well my 1858 Remington will work in this scenario, hmmm lol see yall at Big Ed's
  14. me thinks your Mom will not like the 1911.
  15. what is on Big Ed's menu aside from pizza and beer?
  16. Was probably some employee at a store in the mall that was going to be late for work and had just been warned that " if you are late one more time this week you will be fired"
  17. Ted is the man! RIP Warren Zevon. Thanks for that video Mars.

  19. Man you have all the luck, they throw me out when I try to do that !
  20. do I believe everything this video portrays? Well no. Do I trust our gov't to do what is best for the people? Well no again. to be quite honest it would not suprise me if this stuff was true. When gov't stops being elitist I might start trusting them.
  21. you need a shave boy

    New addition

back in the day, when the parents went out we would shoot the .22 in the basement into stacks of newspapers that Dad saved for paper drives. He never could figure out why they had holes in them.
  23. WalMart out by Gallaher View on the west side had them at the new high price. I stopped by there during lunch time just on the hopes that they still had old ones. Screw em', bought some .22's instead. If I did not carry the 9mm I would try to sell it. If my .40 was not a Hi-Point I would try to sell that too, lol. Would not get enough to make it worthwhile. Better to keep it in case I need to throw it at someone.
  24. So ML if you never lost your permit how did you end up getting it back?
  25. You mean you still don't have your permit back ML? I think your status as administrator is now in question here
