  1. I ordered and recieved a set of screw drivers from Dixie gunworks. They are made by Grace,USA and are pretty darn nice. Lifetime warranty too! It is about time I got some proper tools for guns. The heads on these screw drivers will definitely stop me from boogering up any more screw heads. They are so beautiful they bring tears to my eyes.
  2. here is behind the house here is the front
  3. I mostly have it at 3 to 4 o'clock OWB depending on where the bet loops are on the britches I am wearing. Small of the back is alright for being on foot somewhere but it is not workable in the car. Can't reach the thing and it is like having a rock behind my back. Not comfortable at all.
  4. I am buying nothing in anticipation of an assault weapon ban. Yall can have the AR's and AK's. I already have four 16 round mags for my carry pistol and they ain't figured out how to put more than 6 rounds in my cap and ball stuff so I am good to go there. I ain't so skeered that an AWB will happen anyway.
  5. touche` Cody you have my permission to carry now!
  6. check you numbers Cody, it would save you three years, LOL They teach math in your school?
  7. I thought a .22 was mandatory for all gun owners. I have three of them between rifles and pistols and looking to add another pistol.
  8. I seriously doubt that is a real picture. I am guessing staged and not an ATF agent.
  9. those were my memories Cody, i was speaking of me, lol You go and make your own
  10. there is a liquor store on Merchants Rd that has a big sign on the door stating in so many words that if you can't wear your pants pulled up normally to go somewhere else. Rabbi you might need one of them signs too, lol. Of course it would probably kill your walk in traffic.
  11. You either can or can't carry. I think, LOL Can a place dictate carry is okay as long as it is concealed? Atomic Pawn in Fountain City has a sign like this. Jamie, nice avatar dude.
  12. I miss Wednesday night on the range, and Uncle Ted's show on Tuesdays. Lost access to them when I made the switch to comcast, AKA rip your ass off and screw you over cable company. But alas cable is my only option, no line of sight for the satellite dish anymore. The trees got too big.
  13. aahh the memories!! To be young again. 16 and never been kissed. LOL Happy Birthday Cody, I hope it is a memorable one for you bud!
  14. I voted yes, the students ought to be able to shoot who needs shooting wherever they are!
  15. what about the range in clinton at he watershed(?) I have never been there but you all shot there one time maybe. I dunno maybe I got the name wrong. I am guessing the range in OR with Phantom is busy that day. Maybe yall wore him out too much, lol.
  16. good luck finding a smith willing to mess with it. Probably, they would charge you more than the gun is worth. I have a '58 and do not understand how there could be that much play in it. Mine is so tight that visibly there is no space. But the cylinder turns just fine and the action is very smooth. SHbicycle here knows about cap and abll too, maybe he will read you latest post and offer some points of view. PS: is it possible that your barrel has rotated out and away from the cylinder?
  17. I loved this movie, absolutely hated the ending. I remember reading the book and then the ending came, aak!! What a let down, the movie stayed right on track.
  18. This does not read to me that a cirlce and slash is good enough by itself
  19. I am not sure about it just being a lever gun, I believe it has to be a lever or pump rifle in a pistol caliber. I guess most of the CAS shooters use the same caliber pistol and rifle. Expensive start up costs including the stage shotty. I am sure that there are CA shooters who do black powder. I tend to fire them a little slow and deliberate so the caps do not fall back into the action of the revolver. A brass frame is a good inexpensive way to get into cap and ball. But a lot of people do not favor them as the frame may bend and make the cylinder not lock up right, my experience tell me that is not always true. I have two in brass, one about 25 years old and the frame is just fine on it. The most recent addition to the C and B collection is only made in brass frame. The next will be a steel framed 1860 or if I can discipline myself a little I will save for a Walker. BP also requires a bit more paying attention to detail when cleaning, and usin' petro based oils is a no-no. I use crisco to lube over the balls in the cylinder and olive oil for lubin' up the innards.
  20. If any certain business does not want me on their property on my terms I simply find somewhere that wants me there. NO I do not go into places properly posted.
  21. Sounds like old age to me Frank. I got aches and pains I never had even two years ago. My left elbow pretty much feels like someone hits it with a ball bat daily. Shoulders feel like they weigh a ton. If it gets to looking like rain my knees kind of feel like they need a good greasin'. Yep old age. It must be official as yesterday I got an AARP mailer addressed to me for the first time. Says my membership card is included, heck I did not even apply for it. I don't want no part of 'em. And watch going to them doctors. They will go out of their way to find something wrong with ya. And remember only half of the doctors out there finished in the upper half of their doctorin' classes. The rest of them ain't even average. You want to go see a doctor that ain't even average? Doctors only got a license to practice, when they get a license to perform I might go and see one. They ain't practicin' on me. More caffiene works good for talkin'
  22. we are still orphans looking for someone to take us in
  23. I can make a guess as to why but I would rather know why than guess.
  24. I believe 1.275 is the max OAL for a .45 ACP.
  25. gun in a zip lock bag works great, I believe it can be fired right through the bag. Criminals who case homes and homeowners know if you have a set shower schedule and certainly will use that time to break in if they choose to do it while you are home. Paranoid, you bet ! Not that there is anything wrong with that, not at all. Dave there will be no wrestling this weekend on the agenda.
