  1. I have not been since June I think. I am hoping to have some blow money for this one. B-Day is a few days before this gunshow and I always get cash (not a lot) from my parents and mother in law. Plus I been saving my coins since the beginning of the year. Hoping to have a little to drop that won't be missed from anywhere else because of that. At least I can scratch the bi-pod off the list (thanks Mars). Probably will look for a pair of grips for one of the revolvers. michael1 the range is a private range (very nice facility)we use thanks to Phantom6, follow this thread and I am sure there will be directions posted the week of the shoot.
  2. I want some of that 4 cent .45 ammo
  3. I keep the spare clip in the truck, It is just kind of odd shaped for toting around in my pocket. A 1911 clip would fit a lot better in a back pocket or wherever actually.
  4. I AM going to the gunshow that weekend, just gonna do it on Sunday morning Looking forward to the shootin' on Saturday.
  5. now to me either a mag is good or it is bad. How can some be good and others OK? Either they work or they don't. If they work they are good if not then they are bad.
  6. If I was there you would have a Catholic thrown in the mix, might have to make the drive one day just to see what'd happen. Kind of sounds like a joke, must be a punch line somewhere. A Jew a Muslim and a Catholic were in a gun shop one day......

    new SKS!

If you do buy stripper clips take a cartridge and run it back and forth in the clip a whole mess of times. It helps loosen them up a touch making them function better. You can get them from CTD and a lot of gunshops sell them too. i kept buying a few at a time until I had enough to fill a narrow ammo box. I think it hold about 380 rounds or so. I think i have about 50 clips, give or take.
  8. I use Gunsafe as well as a filefolder in my file box that holds my paper records. In the file folder I keep the original purchase receipt. If the receipt does not have a serial number I write it down. One gun purchase the only receipt I got was a basic cash register receipt. I taped that to an 8.5X11 sheet of paper and wrote all pertinant info down on it. I dunno if pics are really any help.
  9. bartender asks the midget, "so what are you? The cocktail onion he sticks it in." you are right, it is a terrible movie.
  10. I carry one clip with a 16 round capacity, there is a spare clip in the console of the truck. I am guessing if i ever need to shoot, all 16 rounds will be gone when I stop pulling the trigger as I am running in the other direction.
  11. I don't know what you use the mini mags for, but they are top shelf in my opinion. They would be my first choice if I had to do something that really mattered like hunting. If you are just turning paper into swiss cheese any .22 lr will work. I prefer the Federal 550 box from WallyWorld for about 12 bucks.
  12. yep, thats the ticket Seriously though if I ever get to Nashville I will come visit you. Even if i could save some money buying from you the savings would be lost in the fuel costs. If you were here though.
  13. I dunno about Walmart selling second grade ammo. I have bought a lot of 9momo, fotey, dub duce and fo-fi from them and they all looked spanking new and I have yet to have a round not go bang, except for the very rare .22 LR in RemGold. The Federal is about the only rounds that feed through my Savage MKII without problems. I think American Eagle is reloaded ammo but I may be wrong. Isn't it a Federal brand?
  14. Glockguy, what are you going to do with just 50 rounds of .22?
  15. I dunno about that place, I hear some crabby old Jewish guy owns it. Okay Rabbi, just kidding. If you were in Knoxville I would wear out your door hinges coming to visit.
  16. I picked up two 550 rd boxes of Federal .22 LR today from the Walmart. It was 11.97 each. I asked about 9mm and it was 18.47 but they were out of stock. Heck freakin CCI .22 WMR (maxi mags) are just under $10 for fifty rounds. I can do without them just fine. I mean 20 cents a round???? Crazy
  17. I thought coke came in grams or kilos or some such weight. Oh you mean Coke. Okay I make me laugh, lol
  18. Good Deal!! What did you do to the AR?
  19. I guess I have lived a sheltered life or something. The best I can come up with is seeing Boomhower's shotty go to pieces at one of our shoots.
  20. I bought a hundred round bag of Wolf 7.62X39 up near Kingsport today for 23.99. I think it is Wolf from the black box. Looked like a 20 round box was 4.99 so I saved a whole buck by getting a hundred rounds. not from Walmart though, place called Gunslingers
  21. ammunition going up in price? There is a newsflash for you. Alert the media. Next we will hear that gasoline is going up too.
  22. hahahahaha, I read the title to the thread and just assumed this was about Dotsun's AK47. Sorry Dave but its true, LOL
  23. Mark when and if you get home this summer I hope it is possible for us all to get together. Will the Ruger shoot regular 22LR's? Or is it one that needs ammo that is not high velocity? I like the Buckmark but I am a big fan of Ruger handguns.
  24. i prefer to refer to them as standard capacity clips. for example my Sigma came with two 16 round clips, so therefore they are standard capacity. a ten round clip would be low capacity.
  25. yep , Waco and holocaust are not the same thing, not even close.
