I'll be looking to empty my big bag of lead balls at the steel plates, been shooting a lot of BP lately and might need to go find some more, or settle for Pyro which I still have more than half a pound. I also want to put the bi-pod on the Savage .22 to some use. Thanks again Mars. That is the best gun parts accessory deal I have ever had. It totally tricks that rifle out. Dunno how you knew I needed one and the one you had was made for my set up.

I don't think it really matters if the "fastest" cars make the race. The drivers who are in the go or go home bracket really have no chance at winning anyway. Really I estimate that in Cup racing there are only 20 cars that have legitimate chances at winning. Of course Derrick Cope might beg to differ and that scenario is why they run the races, LOL. Remember when UPS came into the sport and signed on with a 11 million dollar deal with Yates racing about 8 years ago? People were amazed at the amount of money that they were willing to put up. 11 million now is only going to get you with a mid level team. Wanna race with Hendrick, Roush, RCR, or Gibbs and you better double that amount. I think you can get Robbie Gordon for a bargain deal of about 5 mil still. I agree that the cost of the sport is ruining things. I would love to see it go back in time somehow. Of course I would like to see my age do the same thing and we all know how that will work out in real life.

isn't that what the lights for? I am still waiting for my brake light to come on, I think i need brakes but I am holding out for the light. Next you will be saying I need gas before the gas warning thingy comes on.

I don't care what you all call him. Now that he is getting a carry permit I think a moderator really ought to invite him to join this forum to defend his points of view to other permit holders. It would give him a great oppurtunity to educate those of us who do not see eye to eye with him.

yanno if 800 people were not calling them every day wanting to know the status of their application they might be able to finish them in a more timely manner. At my class we were advised by the instructor to not be calling them unless you had not heard onne way or the other in 90 days. I took his advice and got mine in 31. I really don't think calling would have sped it up any, nor do I think any of you calling helps matters. yall are worse than a 6 year old waiting on Christmas ,lol

Actually the owners points and guaranteed starting spots are a lifeline. It costs tens of millions of dollars now to run a full season of Sprint Cup. Sponsors are not going to lay that type of money out on a "maybe we will get to race". I am picking up what you are putting down but it really is not viable. Find someway for prize money to actually cover all the costs of racing and you might be onto something. running 43 cars even on the half mile tracks is not a problem. Again you have to have full fields to fill grandstands and keep sponsors happy. Not too many years ago there were back markers entered in almost every race. teams would lease out a car for a no name driver to get into the field. NASCAR gets very embarressed if they cannot come up with a full field for their races, even the lesser series like the trucks. BTS the trucks only start 36 race trucks, not so long ago they had serious trouble filling the field. If you like old school type racing the truck series is the one to follow. It really does have a feel of 1970's Winston Cup.

I have read some considerable concerns about his gang affiliations. There have been many mainstream media news stories on gangs being in the Chicago PD and even gang members sitting on the Bench in the judicial system in Illinois. Makes me assume that they are in other places as well. But this is not new news with Obaba coming out against concealed carry. He is alright with guns as long as he gets to pick and choose who has them, what they do with them and what types of guns they are. Just ask him, he is in favor of 2A. his wife even thinks it is ok if people in rural America have guns as they are so far away from where police are at.

To be quite honest I think that is a good price for that gun. Also to be honest I do not really understand the bad rap the Sigma has. I do not care about editions of the gun in the past. I am referring to the current SWVE models. I have it in 9mm and I find it a delight to shoot. I see no trouble with the trigger. I am comforted by the fact that it takes apositive effort to pull the trigger. At one of our meet and shoots I was able to shoot Dotsun's Glock (model something or other) and I cannot say I noticed much if any difference in the trigger pull. In fact I expected this Glock to feel exceptional after reading all the hoopla about them. But it felt very similar to my Sigma. So maybe, just maybe the Sigma is exceptional as well. (this paragraph is not intended to become a reason to bash Glocks, we can do that in any thread, ) I do think the Sigma has an undeserved bad reputation, and if you are getting one for 279 I think that is a pretty good price.

someone needs to inform Danielle that guns have many other uses than for hunting game. Really hunting is about the last reason I would use for owning guns. Sounds like a typical east coast libtard. I did not know Nashville was a relocation destination for them types.

I may be wrong on this but I believe when the tollway in Fla was built is was supposed to only be a toll road for as long as it took to pay the debt of building the thing. well the debt was payed and the tolls are still being collected. Sounds like double dipping is gonna happen around here too. I just hope I never need to drive on one of them to get back and forth to work.

If Memphis wins it all I am going to have bumper stickers printed up that say UT 66 National Champs 62

has anyone ( moderator preferrably) invited him to become a member of this forum? Me thinks he is doing the HCP thing so he can say " well I have a permit and it does not bother me" when he does some something to trample upon us. the guy is pretty much a tool.

I don't know about that. They are pretty low level electronics. Myth Busters drove a car through a simulated EMP and while it killed the motor there were still many functioning electronics left working on the car. And if a bomb of that sort does go off we have more troubles than access to some guns. Even in a worse case scenario you could beat through the side of the RSC with an axe. A sawzall will go through it like a knife through butter. Unless you are spending many thousands of dollars you do not have a safe.

The poster boy for term limits did it again. I am pretty much speechless here, dumbfounded. Legislators keep gun records open after subcommittee "pulled a fast one" NASHVILLE - House Speaker Jimmy Naifeh and the Legislature's newest member, Karen Camper of Memphis, combined today to keep handgun carry permit records open to the public, after a subcommittee initially supported making the records confidential. The Criminal Practice Subcommittee voted earlier today to approve a bill requiring the Department of Safety to keep secret the names, addresses and other information on handgun carry permits. But that vote came with three members who oppose the bill absent - Subcommittee Chairman Janis Sontany and Rep. Rob Briley, D-Nashville, both Nashville Democrats, along with Judiciary Chairman Kent Coleman, D-Memphis. According to Briley, Rep. Henry Fincher, D-Cookeville, was presiding over the meeting and took the handgun permit bill up out of order, before it was scheduled for presentation. In effect, Briley says Fincher and other backers of the bill on the subcommittee "pulled a fast one." After hearing reports of how the bill was approved, Naifeh this afternoon brought Camper, newly sworn in as successor to the late Rep. Gary Rowe of Memphis, into the subcommittee meeting and introduced her as a new member who had been assigned to serve on the committee. Sontany then moved to reconsider the vote approving the handgun carry bill. That was approved and Coleman made a motion to postpone consideration of the bill until 2012 - in effect, to kill it. That motion carried on a 5-4 vote and the bill is now dead. Voting to kill the bill were Naifeh, Briley, Coleman, Camper and Sontany - none of whom were present for the vote approving the bill. Voting to approve the bill were Reps. Eddie Bass, D-Prospect; Fincher, Judd Matheney, R-Tullahoma; and Eric Watson, R-Cleveland. After the maneuver, Naifeh displayed to a reporter a certificate showing he has completed the gun safety course necessary to obtain a handgun carry permit for himself. Naifeh said he has a 9 millimeter Smith and Wesson semi-automatic pistol that he plans to carry after obtaining a permit. http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2008/apr/02/legislators-keep-gun-records-open/

A retail liquor store I worked at a few years ago was owned by a guy whose mother was a devout baptist. One day she was sitting in her car in the parking lot. I mean she sat there for almost 45 minutes. I asked my boss the son why his mom was sitting out there like that. He started laughing and told me she was there to cash a check but would not get out of the car and come in until the store was empty. She was deathly afraid someone would see her and word would get back to the congregation that she was going in a liwuor store. This in spite of her son owning the place, which was common knowledge. lol

Now tell me none of you were that freakin naive.

I renewed my DL over the internet. I was suprised that it arived already, less than a week after I did the renewal. Also, don't know how odd it is but they used the pic and signature from my HCP instead of my DL which was a duplicate made not more than a month before I applied for the HCP. Just thought it odd.

Sorry, that is just flat ridiculous. :rofl:Everyone I know buys their ammo at WalMart. I do not know anyone that has trouble with it. I shoot it through my Sigma, Hi-Point and RIA, not to mention the SP101. Always goes bang doesn't jam any of them. Where are you getting this BS from? doesn't work, sheesh
