  1. Right on Dixie, thats how we rolled. School started after Labor Day and ran until Memorial Day.
  2. Don't schools all have air conditioning for the most part? Unbearable? Freakin kills me. Poor babies, I don't even know where to start with this. get rid of the fall and spring break and the kids could basically have all of June, July, and August off. But for sure that would get the mommies all mad that their little darlings don't get breaks. No wonder kids are turning into lazy slobs. Sorry rant off
  3. I would, I want two of them, one for casual and one for dress occassions.
  4. people want to boycott products, mostly cracks me up. You would be suprised what other items in your house are under their umbrella. Absolute is a great seller in east TN and I suspect it will remain so. Ok, no pizza hut and no absolute. What are we boycotting next?
  5. admit it kwik, you got one of them badges, don't you?
  6. what kind of gin?
  7. the most over rated movie I have seen this year
  8. like rabbits they are Boom. Hard to just have one. So I think everyone really ought to have two at minimum. I am pretty good on them now, but if I found a Walker that was priced to sell I would have a hard time not adopting it.
  9. Welcome to the board. The boy looks like a fine little shooter. I agree about the VPC thing. I am guessing we have King Jimmy to thank for losing our F rating.
  10. I also recommend forgetting about Absolut and drinking Vikingfjord Vodka instead. Or as they call it up in Johnson City Tater Vokker.
  11. have the womans libbers given up on that place accepting woman as members? I found a good spot close to concessions to sit and drank a bunch of beer. You can only walk around that place so many times without getting very thirsty.
  12. wow Dixie, who'd a thunk it. Next time I play golf I am going strapped! The country club I worked for in Boca Raton was protected by Wackenhut. Those guys were armed. They even had a "ninja" force who rode around at night in blackened golf carts and carried automatic weapons. One time a kid who worked for me was at the driving range picking balls at dusk. He came tearing back to the cart barn saying he saw guys in the bushes dressed in black with their faces blacked out, and "they got rifles". I called security and was told that they were starting an exercise. LOL those guys had night vision, stun grenades, hearing enhancement, the whole nine yards. I used the fact that the Ninjas were out and about to help curtail pot smoking amongst the staff. It is like you know they are doing it but can't catch them red handed. So I just pointed out that you never know when Wackenhut is hiding out some where observing goings on. It worked.
  13. Like Wild Turkey for example?
  14. has anyone ever heard of a situation where a firearm was needed on a golf course? I used to play and I do not think you could really play golf at a proficient level wearing a gun. The only thing I ever shot on a golf course was a Titleist. I suppose if you want your gun with you the golf bag would be a good place to keep it. i dunno though but in the 25 years I was in the business I never saw a gun or heard of anyone having one. A member at the last club I worked at did have an Ariska in his trunk. It was nice. Had all original markings and he claimed he took it as a souvenier during WW2. There were several members of that club who had shotguns in their trunks all the time. Never heard much talk about handguns. Eddie, "even God can't hit a 1 iron."
  15. if time was all but over and they didn't foul it has to be one of two things. Either they could not get a hnd on the guy to foul him or the coach blew it. I am thinking the coach screwed up.
  16. seriously now, if i had this bullet I would go to Home Depot and get a bag of Ready Mix concrete. Mix up the entire bag. half fill a pickle bucket with the concrete and put the offending bullet on top, primer side down. Then fill the remaining part of the bucket with more concrete. Let set up for five days in a very safe location. Take the bucket and dangerous round to Bristol and leave at the end of Mars' driveway for him to dispose of. But thats just me....
  17. this did not end well for yall. I did not watch but I did flick back and forth to keep up with the score. Did Memphis just choke on it? Thats my impression from just score watching until i went to bed with a the regulation time almost over.

does it make me un-patriotic that I did not make it very far through that video?

    Snubbies

yes, very cheap as opposed to .45 Colt, .22 or 9mm not as cheap
  20. I would not recommend walking any golf course barefoot. There are a lot of chemicals applied to those places and they will enter you body through contact with bare skin.

  22. welcome to the board, but lets cut to the chase, where do you stand on the issue of owning a Glock??
  23. I will add to that an unchambered gun is downright dangerous too. If you are going to have one keep it in condition to go bang.
  24. Bobby Jones won the old Knoxville Open at the golf course I worked at here in Knoxville. They had stuff about him in the pro shop and on walls in the hallways. I think he was 14 at the time. It was a different game back then. I am guessing he would be good in modern day, but I do wonder how he would stack up against guys like Palmer, Nicklaus and Woods. I got to go there back in 97 or 98, it is a special place.
  25. sorry, if they were gangstas I thought thats what they might be called. I thought Yo was a euphimism for cocaine.
