Eddie, to steal a phrase from a shoe company, JUST DO IT. Give them a place. I ain't saying men should be banned, but a polite asking of men not to post should suffice. There are several sub forums here that don't pull their weight anyway. If having an extra subforum is an issue rename one of the existing ones and stick those threads somewhere else. You better come through for the ladies, I am sure it takes some courage on their part to be here and participate. Encourage them by giving them a special place of their own. If you don't do it, I will lobby every man on here to PM your lovely wife about it. I bet we can get her to make you comply. LOL Com'n Ed do it for the ladies here.

It seems to be getting a little easier. Today was not bad at all. Maybe one time about 6:30 pm at work I thought for a nano second that a smoke would be nice. Of course the urge hit me when I was done for the day and that typically was a time for a smoke, just before locking up and leaving. But eh, i did not really want it. Was just and old habit trying to suck me back in. The quitters flu seems to be easing up a bit too. That is a relief.

thats a bunch of crap. I answered your freakin question. How am I supposed to name a candidate when I firmly believe having a third party candidate is a waste of time and effort and will only hurt the country. you all go vote for the moonbat Ron Paul. What did he garner by way of a vote total in the primaries? you know I knew a bunch of masons years ago, I was not impressed. You may be be different and special, most people I have met in life that are special do not need to toot their horn to say so.

You are the FTF buyer, any paperwork involved?
Mike.357 replied to wattsbarbound's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I go along witth what dralarms said. I do not buy and selll like a gun show whore. Those types are borderline gun dealers. And that is a totally different scenario. If the gov't wanted me to have paper on a sale they would specify so in law. About the only paper work I will worry about is that tonight I will pull the original reciept from the gun I sold today and mark on it that I sold it for cash and how much I recieved. -
A vote for a third party candidate in this election will be a vote for the Democrats. Anyway tossing your vote away will have the same end result as if you had voted for Hobama. I do not know how someone can look at themselves in the mirror and say they will vote third party in this presidential election. I think almost all sane people agree that there is no good choice this time. Well when is the last time there was a good choice? It is as simple as this. Do you want the country to go to hell in a basket at lightspeed, or at a little slower pace? If the Dem's get in look for lightspeed disaster. If McCain gets in the downhill run will be a lot slower. McCain will do no where near the damage in 4 years that Mrs. Clinton or Obama willl do. When you waste your vote on Ron Paul or Pat Paulson or Donald Duck it will be on your conscience if the Repubs lose the election by the amount of votes that went third party. I do not think with age comes wisdom but with youth comes naivity.

Gun vs. Club.....and why you should carry two guns.

oh so the bat falls under the guise of a primitive weapon. Just goes to show you that all bats are evil not just the tactical aluminum automatic bats. I am down with the old stuff, I have a Jackie Robinson Louisville Slugger at home. It is the first line of in house defense. I tell you , if you break into my house you would rather get shot buy my 9mm than hit in the head with this hunk of lumber. I have no doubt this aged and hardened piece of ash will flat lay a person out. -

Well I just sold a pistol. I did not need a gun for self defense. Imagine that, a guy from TGO is on the up and up and a everyday normal fellow. Oh, dang, I forget to get a reciept -
Mars I am guessing that will be a closed casket funeral. I also wonder how desirable that guy will be to the 72 virgins he is expecting to meet.

how would a clip fall out of a mosin nagant? The clip hold the rounds until they are shoved into the magazine. I can understand rounds falling out if the magazine opened but not the clip falling out. -
I pretty much don't go to restaurants unless I am with Mar's so what ever the law is it really does not effect me. But i really think going in a place and hogging tables to not spend money is classless and will do no good at all. Not even a little bit.

Seems kind of foolish to not go run a couple of clips through the gun first. I have one auto loader that has never ever malfunctioned in abour 2000 rds but I wouls still want to fire it first to be soemwhat sure it will run. I think your bounty hunter dude is calling out Mr. Murphy.

I am not registering a firearm sold in a FTF sale. Period end of that story. I am very comfortable with walking away. No I would not. I also would not hesitate to give them my name and town I reside in. If they ask I will verbally confirm I am not disallowed by law from owning firearms. They can write up and sign whatever they want to. But they can leave me out of the paperwork loop. -

I think if you pay attention to your senses you will know inside that something is not quite right with the seller or with the gun you may buy. If you inner alarm trips then walk away. If not buy the gun and don't worry about it all. Personally since the law does not require paperwork I am not filling any out, either as a buyer or seller. If the other party insists, I am walking away. -
I ain't much on painting Dave. But my garage door is gonna need a going over before next winter. I'd be happy for you to show me your painting technique.

Thanks Bill, it helped lighten the moment I feel like Flounder right about now. In a few weeks I may resemble him too.

Well it has been one week since my last smoke. I am experiencing all the symptons of major nicotine withdrawal. I feel like I am getting the flu, I am depressed, mad, tired, irritable, restless, and probably a half dozen others that I cannot list right now. I tell you one other thing. I have had some wild crazy dreams the last few nights. I can't recall details (yall know how that is) but I wake up in the middle of the night either in a cold sweat or in a euphoric state. And that is all in the same night. One whole week, cold turkey. A week ago I would have given myself about less than half a chance of getting this far. If I can make it one more week I will feel real good about my chances of making it all the way. I keep telling myself ( and I believe this to be very true) that what I am experiencing is nicotine fighting like hell to get back in my system. Almost like I am possessed or something. Every day I make it without smoking is one day closer to freedom. I also have to keep telling myself that I am not getting sick, but rather I am getting well.

I am normally not into this type of activism but ZenDog makes a real good point. I think it would also be safe to say that the $1.9 million could realistically be double including spouses in the total. Triple if one child was included in you dinner bill. Of couse it would take a lot of pre game work to have people lined up to do this. Press releases and involving all print, radio and tv media would be key. Without a lot of publicity it would never work. I might even go as far as to suggest open carry while at dinner. OC would make it plain and obvious to restaurant owners where the money was coming from. And of course Darth Naifeh would need to be on the invite list to have dinner with us.

not on a bet or a dare, really Memphis is not part of TN. It is like Northern Mississippi

kids are all about mowing the grass when they are too young or small to handle the mower, once they are big enough they want no part of it.

yeah thats the answer, isolationism. That will work well against the most populated and arguably most powerful nation in the world. personally I could care less how the chinese gov't treats their subjects. I am more concerned how OUR gov't treats me. Lets fight the battle on the homefront first.

I don't like cutting in on other peoples fun, it would not be fair to you.

I was sad and dejected saturday. I had a mountain of mulch to spead and figured I would hook the trailer up to the Huskee and haul it to where it was needed. That part of the plan worked fine. But I was very much looking forward to needing to charge the battery in the tractor and danged if the thing did not start without the charge. But on the bright side the left tire on the trailer was flat, (just flat on the bottom) and I got to fix that. So I had that going for me to make up for the tractor starting. I also hauled three trailer loads of clay back to the shooting range in the woods to fortify my backstop. Free clay is the only perk to the construction going on in the hayfield. All in all it was a fun day.

Mikewood not everyone has to do the three gun thing. I doubt I am doing it. You are more than welcome to shoot your pistols. Everyone needs to be aware that if you are going to shoot steel plates you need lead bullets. 22's dont matter but anything larger needs to be lead. Just check back in this thread, I am sure Phantom6 will post here in the next day or two about time and all that stuff. There is a fine area for shooting FMJ bullets at paper targets though as well as the rifle/shotgun range.
