  1. ZenDog put it very well. Screw all these so called technilogical advances. It does not impress me in the least.
  2. Big time had by all, you no shows missed out. I think my favorite part of the shoot was shooting black powder a few feet away from Phantom while he tried to shoot a few clays. LOL There was no hope of seeing them clays in the air for all the smoke I was making. I am glad my rudeness was taken in the joking spirit it was meant. I had no doubt I was going to hit a clay or two with the SKS, my superior rifle skills shown through, I did do a pretty fair job of covering my target at 100 yards using my Savage MkIIGL. I am very happy that my inexpensive BSA scope has held zero over several shoots. I am going to lighten up the accu-trigger and I am guessing next time I shoot it the pattern will lose the fliers. When I did my part correctly the bullets only left one little ragged hole. Aside from the shooting Big Ed's (official pizza of the Eastern Band of TGO)was great too!
  3. You can carry alright, but you have to have your gun checked, they make sure it is unloaded and lock the slide back or otherwise secure it from firing by using a tie strap. To me that is a hassle, I leave it locked in the car. i am going to look for a lever action .22 rifle. Doubt I will find one that is reasonable in price, so I will also be looking for some reloading supplies, lead bullets mostly. i view the ten buck admission like paying to go to a ball game or a bar or whatever. the gun show is kind of entertaining.
  4. the point i am making, or trying to make is that you need to have this properly taken care of now. You never know if in the future someone will pass a Lautenberg type law that will inhibit your rights from something you did not take care of properly today. I hope that makes sense. And I have needed to make claims against uninsured motorists, and peiople who were at fault. I file the claim with my insurance. Not my fault the claim needs filing so it is not held against me. Thats a big part of why we carry insurance. I never once thought I needed to sue anyone. My insurance company always had my back. Just saying...
  5. what do you need so many rounds/primers for anyway? 9999 is plenty.
  6. The land of all you can eat buffets.
  7. Just because YOU can't see or don't think something does not mean it isn't so. I think you are foolish if you do not hire the best attorney your money can buy. Google Lautenberg Laws. Whatever a lawyer costs you will be money well spent. And in the long run you will be glad you did it. Four civil suits? I am 50 years old and have never sued anyone. I think they are all out to get you.
  8. helluva truck
  9. Mars I did not want to appear ungrateful, but that hat sucks, LOL I am not even an old enough fart to think it looked nice. My Dad maybe but not me. It might could make a good target. I wanna know where you got the head at?
  10. Most sources say three days and the nicotine is gone but I have real doubts. There is definitely a psychological addiction. I mean basically for 35 years cigarettes have always been there for me. Now I am shunning them. They are pissed off at me and fighting back. It has been hard since getting home today, while at work it was not hard at all. Kind of funny that way as I ran a route today and I used to smoke like a fiend while on the route. I would light up a ciggy after every stop. Well sometimes there are 20 to 30 deliveries. But no cravings while in the truck today. I think Friday afternoon was hard today because in the smoking days I would be having beers and chaining them up after work. I believe my body knows today is Friday.
  11. Why not just carry a .357 mag and be done with it?
  12. It is a good thing my no smoking fu is very strong today as the force is calling me towards the dark side. The nicotine gods are getting desperate.
  13. Mech48 you can shoot whatver you want. The rifle range goes otu to about 100 yards I think, and pistols range is well a pistol range. You can shoot the short guns on the rifle range too if you care too. Need lead for the steel plates though. Bring targets. There are target stands already there.
  14. I am gonna go on Sunday, don't know what I want. I really like .22 lever rifles, but only if it is a good deal. Would really like to buy something FTF without the paper trail. Have not been to one in almost a year I am looking forward to it.
  15. I am taking my pet Rhino for protection, and a couple of new hats just in case.
  16. Thank you! Best post on the thread.
  17. Its a good thing you have done Eddie! Way to go. And Dotsun just cause you wear Cheryls skirts does not mean you should spend all your time on that subforum now.
  18. Wish you could make it Mars. I don't know what we have to take the place of Rocket Launchers and Claymore mines Maybe I can throw a pipe bomb together this afternoon.
  19. do you know the maker of those revolvers? The next time I buy a BP revolver it will be an 1861. I love the steel framed ones. You can jam them full of the black and not have to worry about stress on the frame. I tell you with the .36 you almost have to cast balls. At least to be sure of the size you are using. Guys I know who shoot .36 always complain about the lack of quality control in store bought balls of that caliber. I am looking forward to making smoke at the shoot tomorrow !! Wish you were here.
  20. fixed that for ya
  21. were glad to have to here.
  22. Big Ed's is delicious, see you at 11:30. for those that don't know Big Eds here is a link to a map for directions http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showpost.php?p=58970&postcount=53
  23. Mark, what kind of .36 you getting?
  24. I have confirmation we are on. Phantom is going to post an addy and map to a BBQ place for lunch @ 11 and shooting following lunch. Yall check back and make sure you come out. If the weather sucks we can sit it out and wait for a break. Historically our shoots do not get rained out. I am looking forward to it, always a lot of fun.
