  1. XD be careful to not dry fire that thing. Doing that beats on the nipples. Not the end of the world but not what you want to do. Get you some fff grain Black Powder (Pyrodex P in fff is a substitute) a back of .454 balls, and a tin of #11 caps and go shoot the thing. You be hooked good then. In lieu of a powder measure you can use a .45acp cartridge. It will work just fine and not overload anything. Heck, being steel framed you could fill it up and just leave enough room for the ball. You ain't gonna hurt it none.
  2. voted 60%-40% our side now i always wonder how these polls might turn out if no one was stuffing the ballot box. I assume the antis are stuffing it too.
  3. I am with you on this Tungsten. Basically I carry casually concealed. If it shows then that is whoever is lookings problem, not mine. I have only OC'd a few times and I don't think anyone even noticed aside from one time. I did have a little old lady at the gas pumps give me the stink eye ( love that term LOL) and she did not get out of her car until I got in mine and began to pull away. Of course I am not looking around to see if they are looking at me anyway. I pretty much feel like something is missing if its not on my hip anymore.
  4. fixed that for ya. Maybe next time you just rent him a gun while he is in town and all.
  5. do ya think it has anything to do with the way the gun is buried into the sandbag? (or whatever is supporting the barrel) I don't believe there should be backflash like that. I do not believe his method of shooting is the correct way to shoot a a pistol supported.
  6. big difference between owning and carrying. I say no carry, why? He is the son of God. What the heck would he need a weapon for? We all have read the account of how it played out last time he was killed.
  7. I follow you now. You may need to poke the nipple hole once you have the cylinder loaded, but other than that I bet it works fine.
  8. aren't cigarette papers nitrated? Just for kicks burn one of the rolling papers. i am thinking they will burn very evenly.
  9. watch out for them unfinished blanks from Dixie. I bought a set for my remington and forget about it. They are hard as rocks and I am not that motivated to work them up. I'd like an Army .44 in case color hardened steel. I am good with 51's Dang it me~
  10. Dave says I must have mis-spoke, I bought a Sigma over a year ago. I have over 2000 rounds through it and the trigger feels about the same as Dotsuns Glock. His is the only Glock I have shot. I don't notice the long pull, feel normal to me. But then I am not a serious shooter I suppose.
  11. Mrs. T by googling around a bit I bet you can find some sort of pink grips for that gun. I have seen several grip makes that do all sorts of colors.
  12. Mark I have been thinking about your paper cartridges. One thing I thought of is can you load them in the revolver without removing the cylinder? If so you will be good to go. If not you need a cylinder loading platform. I do not recall this consideration coming up. It may well work fine but I dunno.
  13. nice looking piece, price is outstanding I think for a steel framed revolver.
  14. i'll just continue to use the old tried and true method of driving in circles and refusing to ask for directions anywhere lol ain't a fan of hi tech stuff anyways
  15. nothing to chuckle about there, just cold hard truth
  16. i refuse to drink that kool-ade, get rid if it and get lost like real men do, LOL
  17. please tell me none of you are the types that use them things for their commutes to work or school? I see this one lady about two mornings a week where I stop for a newspaper and she has one lit up on her dash. I do not think she is getting lost on the way to her office. Anyway it always makes me chuckle.
  18. lets hope even if he is elected that nobody decides to remove him from office. The anti-gun sentiment would be enormous and way worse than him being in office. Back on topic, I understand woman like pink, ( no idea why really) but them grips are seriously ugly. That is not a very nice looking shade of pink.
  19. i read somewhere that Bloomberg is his choice. Hillary might be a breath of fresh air compared to that guy (And I miss your Barney avatar, way better than that one you got now)
  20. Mark, try this for you NSN thing http://lrc3.monmouth.army.mil/nsn/nsndata/index.cfm
  21. I started using filler mostly to get the ball closer to the end of the cylinder. This means I do not need as much Crisco. I have not really noticed accuracy differences with or without filler. I have never used wads or wax in my revolvers. Not sure how they work. I am thinking if I was going to leave a percussion revolver loaded for self defense I would want to use a dry wad under the ball to help protect the powder and chain fires. I doubt I would use Crisco for this scenario either. Not much reason to worry about keeping fouling soft for this use. I am not sure of why anyone would use a percussion pistol for self defense unless they had no access to a cartridge gun. I bet you will get pretty good with the paper cartridges after some practice. Are you twisting the end after placing the ball down the newly formed paper tube and leaving the other end open for placing powder?
  22. so from what I read I am a serious shooter part of the time and a recreational shooter part of the time. Then my opinion of a Sigma trigger is valid
  23. if it was a secret how would you wise guys know about it? I think they were discussing a suprise wedding gift for W's daughter and played it off to a spy meeting.
  24. again we are back to X number of rounds in Y number of days I might only shoot ten rounds a week in practice with my carry weapon. Does this make me a serious shooter?
  25. was there an actual secret meeting of congress as the story claims?
