  1. that is exactley what he was working up to. And that is what ticks me off and turns me off to it all.
  2. the Uberti Cattleman is awesome. I load it with 30 grains of fff and a .454 ball. Dab a little Crisco over the ball and pound away.. I will testify that the cylinder loader that comes with that gun sucks. It is inferior compared to what I bought from Dixie. Will it work? Yes. TDR, the Colts and Remington are either 7.5 or 8 inch barrels. My Remmy is a 5.5 inch barrel. I dunno about any 10 inch ones. Maybe ask the ladies, ohhhh LOL your links look good for now XD Here are a couple of good sites if for no other reason than the porn http://www.emf-company.com/1858-remington-army-revolver.htm http://www.taylorsfirearms.com/products/blackpowder.tpl
  3. Go back and review the threads here in the last month. you will find a lot of links and tons of good info for purchasing firearms and components.
  4. BP is where its at. Nothing like reloading as you go. No need for fancy reloading gear, just balls, caps and powder. Shoot away.
  5. I need more information to make a call on this statement. There are many kind of revolvers. It depends. You cannot compare a Walker to a .36 caliber Navy to a Pocket Police to a '51 Navy in .44. A lot depends on the type of reproduction it is and the maker of that reproduction.
  6. some guns may work better with the .451, but I believe they all work just fine with .454. I have used .451 balls and they seem less accurate. Both of my Pietta's and my Uberti work great with .454 balls.

I almost bought one of them Heine kegs tonight, but ended up with a half suitcase of the Beast Lite.
  8. That was what the guy on the radio was getting at today. The industry in control now is going to do whatever they can to inhibit new ideas and implimentation of those ideas. Eventually right overcomes wrong. Go back in history. I have no doubt that people heavily invested in horses and wagons did everything they could to throw wrenches in the works of the automobile. I bet Pony Express riders cut lines on telegraph wires back in the day. Same thing HAS gone on in the auto industry. I have always heard of carbeurators <sp> that could get 100 MPG. Patents were bought up by the big three. Heck I heard about that 25 years ago. In a nutshell the "haves" want to keep the "have nots" from having.
  9. XD, you may need to learn to pinch the caps. Make them football shaped as you put them on. My '51 said it needs #10's but they are really hard to seat. #11's work pretty good on all my guns. Remingtons are easier to pinch than CCI. I pretty much only use the CCI when I am out of Remmy's
  10. drilling anywhere is not a solution right now. How many years, months whatever would it take for that oil to actually reach gas pumps? There has to be some other solution. I heard a story on local radio today about Thomas Edison and electricity. Seems back in the day he was trying to sell his newfangled electric. They wired up an area for display. The Gas Light proponents were caught trying to cut Edisons electric wires for his electric lights.. Once the electric was proven to be the wave of the future the gas light industry became the electric light industry. I have no doubt that if for example Water could replace gasoline that big oil would become Big Water and still make the money. There is another viable source for energy out there. Someone needs to make it happen. Hopefully it will be one of us.
  11. I wish you all would buy into the idea of staying out of anwr. Let the Arabs run out of oil and then we will still have a supply. Can you imagine things if we had the oil and not the rags? I am actually suprised that that hag suggesting nationalizing oil did not drive the price up. You all know we may well have $ 6 a gallon gas by Labor Day, actually I will be suprised if it is not that bad.
  12. can I carry while on water skis?
  13. thats just mean TDR
  14. NOOOOOOOO don't do foam. It is a moisture attractor.
  15. I LOVE the Henry .22 It is a lot of fun to shoot and is pretty darn accurate. Piece of cake to take down for clean up too. Good luck with the Taurus. they don't make them anymore. I tried to buy one earlier this week. I have a bid on Gun Broker for another pumper, ( so don't go cutting me down there, LOL) i am high bidder with about 28 hours to go, and I am not bidding any more of someone out bids me.
  16. I don't hold the Glock thing against him, dunno too many perfect people.
  17. I was getting tires on my truck a couple hours ago. And was standing there talking to a man who was having somehting or other doneon his car. Naturally we ended up talking about gasoline and such. It was kind of a nice talk until, he started preaching. Wanting to know if I was Christian and whatnot. I do not mind saying that pisses me off. If I want Jesus I can find him him fine on my own. I don't need someone coming on to me at the NTB. Thankfully my truck was done and I needed to go square up. I was about to say something I probably would have regretted by now.

Yes currently Wild Bill, in honor of the Holy Black Where the heck is our chat room? It is way more fun getting tossed in there than not in there. And I am only two beers into easing my pain this evening. I just spend about $550 on tires and accutrements. I am still thinking about what I could have gotten for that kind of scratch. Needed the skins though.
  20. found one that sold on Gunbroker. They got 450 bucks for it. Pictures looked very nice. Stock was excellent
  21. Oh I get it, I just don't get it. Know what I mean?
