If you were going to get one to scope I wold recommend the 91/30. I dunno if I have mu number thing right but anyway get one with a longer barrel. I don't know why it would not be as accurate as any Mauser is.

Way to go Elliott!! for the life of me I can't understand why everyone is not into BP, really. I love that I do not need a reloading operation to be able to shoot them. Making ammo right there in the field is awesome! I guess I could sit here and reload some cartridges, or I could go out and shoot while reloading some cylinders. I know what I would rather do!

the mower may be fine but I would not spend my money at a Lowes or a Home Depot for that matter. I hate them places.

i picked up the Stevens Model 62 yesterday. Spent about an hour cleaning it up and then took it out to shoot. It functioned great. I think I got a steal for the price paid. i would like to pick up an extra mag for it though.

Who says it is illegal to have a gun in a commercial vehicle? That's news to me. And if it is true I am guilty from time to time.

I am pretty sure I could live without a TV. When I do watch it I am watching an old movie for the most part anyway. But my wife would probably leave me if I got rid of cable and tv's. A radio is really all I need. PS: and I bet the ppv subforum does not have threads like this one!

to bump my count I will post in this. Canyn has it right on the head. This place I do not believe originally created for Joe Gunslinger to list and sell his gun. If you new guys want to sell you crap then follow the time and post number rules. If you are here just for the sake of selling guns then go to GunGroker or Guns America and sell your jamamatic. Personally I am very suspect of someone signing up here for the sake of turning the place into their yardsale.

I really do prefer to shoot SA revolvers over anything else. I do practice with my carry weapons but I would not go so far as to say I enjoy it anymore. Now, making smoke is where its at! BP is the original dark side

The Walmart Enterence (first time carying)
Mike.357 replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I personally could care less if someone sees "it". Depending on what I am wearing either of the carry guns prints like all heck. Dark T shirts seem to show less, but being summer I tend to wear lighter colors. In short order you will get past thinking everyone sees it, they don't. -
so I can't carry my rifle into Opry Mills even though they are not posted correctly?

+1 on this feature. My Huskee (17.5 horses of rolling thunder) is an awesome mower. 42 inch cut. Turn radius is fair enough. I don't know about Cub Cadet but aside from John Deere most mowers are made by MTD and are virtually alike aside from paint and sheet metal stampings. If you are getting a MTD and I bet the Yard Man is one I would check other makes for the best price.

I am guessing I will be shooting today. I shot Friday and yesterday as well. Yep if'n it ain't raining too hard I will be out there.

I am going to look for the dye and compare it to some spray paint made for polymer. My wife painted some deck chairs that were plastic and the paint did not last very well. Of course those chairs baked in the sun and soaked in rain too. And the stock of this rifle is different than the chairs were. I am optimistic paint will work. I am guessing a clear coat when I am done might be of help too.

LOL, not quite Actually the magazine Guns of the Old West, summer 2008 edition has a nice article on DA revolvers. Its my favorite gun rag.

Gee, why even have an election. Nothing is for sure and I still believe there is something in Obamas closet that is not out in play yet. This thing is a long way from over.

I think the recoil is really over rated. If you properly hold the rifle to your shoulder it is very managable. Mark is the ammo corrosive? I am not sure how long it would take to shoot 1200 rounds of it. When I got my M44 last spring I ended up buying about 800 rounds and I think I still have half of that at least. But I have not shot the rifle in a few months now. Might have to change that at the next shoot. I paid a little more than the 80 dollar price but all my numbers match and the rifle was clean of cosmoline. It also appeared to be unfired. I thought it was worth the extra dough anyway.

is this with spray paint or with the dye R11 mentioned?

Bought this today at a pawn shop. Stevens Model 62. .22LR 10 shot auto loader. I spent an hour or so cleaning it up. Broke it down and made sure all was in good shape. It appears to be a shooter, though it shoots a bit high. But some Kentucky windage takes care of that. I put about 100 rounds though it this afternoon and there were no issues. Gonna make a gift of it to someone I love. Here is a pic, not the actual rifle I bought, but for looks sake it might as well be.

Thanks Bill, I have since changed it, I know Dotsun is hot for me and this new one will drive him crazy. I will bring Harvey Korman back tomorrow. I always liked Korman. Loved him on Carol Burnett and he pretty much was key in how well Blazing Saddles turned out. I am not sure who could have played his part in that movie as well as he played it. That guy did some serious comedy and I am clueless as to how other actors could keep a straight face playing opposite him. Laphoig is one of my labels. I have not tasted it before but on your recommendation I will make sure I get a bottle this coming winter. (whoa, three more posts to get to 2500, I am sure I can reach this in short order!! )

Voldemort says There, fixed it for ya I carry a S&W 9mm or a Ruger SP101 in .357 magnum. I practice at least once a week with both. I prefer to carry at about 4:00 on the strong side. I carry casually concealed. Try to jack my truck and you will be shot dead. Yes I do practice this scenario.
