  1. Good God, can't a person just ask a question? Why does anything have to be a big deal to be discussed? Elliott I think you hit nail on head.
  2. What the heck does that have to do with it? And it is not on the way there.
  3. people refer to Nashville as NashVegas, and I have heard Knoxville called KnoxVegas. I have even seen bumpers stickers calling this hell hole KnoxVegas. Can anyone explain why?
  4. Grimel will you replicate that for us Saturday? Might be entertaining.
  5. Seaslug you all are more than welcome to attend. Phantom6 is kind enough to supply the range and and help set up details. I have no doubt he will be posting up something in regard to start time and BBQ in a day or so. Normally we meet to eat at about 11 AM and head over to the range after that. And we shoot until the bullets run out or until you have had enough. It was not posted here, but there is a 10 dollar range fee as well. Money well spent IMHO. Hope to see you all there
  6. You can do alright at pawn shops but you have to look around at a bunch of them. I have seen great deals sitting right next to rip offs in them places. You just have to be patient and be prepared to go to as many as you can. No telling what you might find.
  7. I don't know why anyone would need all those guns
  8. I am trying to get Karin to commit to this trip. If possible I will drag her up Friday night. You all might to need to make space for her on the couch. LOL, I can throw a tent up off the side of the driveway. might be another epic shoot.
  9. me and Billie Bob would be interchangable
  10. I'll bring my Mosin and Yugo, ammo too. A Battle Rifle shoot sounds like a HUGE time. Elliott, I love that lever rifle of yours. I could knock out a few hundred rounds from that with no trouble. And just let me have some trigger time on Julies rifle. I might get one of my sales reps to come out with us too. He lives up in Tri-Cities. I just found out last week he is a gunny, dude likes tacticool stuff.
  11. same as last time Norm? I could deal with skipping BBQ, Not such a bbq fan anyway. If it is of any help Phantom I could meet these guys at the range and haul them back there?
  12. I am unsure of that acronym, but I love wadcutters. I load semi wadcutters in .38special, .357mag and .45ACP Nothing like the neat, precise, simple hole in the target. And if for some reason it had to be used in self defense it will leave them same holes in the bg. Nothing like shooting lead.
  13. oh I get it now, you are talking about them pics at the top of the page. Well no suprise here, I think it is lame. You already have a place for pictures.
  14. dotsun says I will be your friend handsome
  15. what the hell are you talking about?
  16. battle rifle sounds like a great theme! match rifle instruction wold be great too. I will PM Mars to make sure he gets the date change for the July shoot.
  17. how does tying the kid to a tree kill him? There is more to this than simply tying him to a tree. I am curious as to the cause of death.
  18. so are we talking about the 26th of July as the date for the new and improved July Kingsport Shoot?
  19. if the gun was actually without a ball what caused the compression of the powder and subsequent BOOM? I will have to experiment with my BP stuff tomorrow, but I do not think powder that is not compressed by something will make that kind of noise. If it in fact did go BOOM, I would question him at to what he shot out of it. I think he had to have something stuffed over the powder and down the barrel.
  20. pick a date. I believe if you can be there, moving it a week one way or the other is the correct thing to do.
  21. Tower, Phantom's son Austin has them same shoes ( are they shoes?). If I see you wearing them I am so going to crack on you for it. Mark, if the guilt overwhelms you feel free to send them things to me for safekeeping. Will they let you fire them from the boat? LOL And I think I might be scared to see the results of your growing tomatoes. Whenever you get paroled I will be happy to help you put them through their paces. The rifles I mean, not the 'maters.
  22. actually Mike Helton is a helluva guy, but I can easily understand how people can get a bad feeling about him. Pemberton has tons of racing knowledge. I am not sure how much I blame on him. NASCAR seemed to peak between about 1997 and 2005. I feel it has been sliding since 05 anyway. There was a period where they did sell out most every race and TV ratings were through the roof. I feel that ever since ESPN lost the TV contract that NASCAR started getting to big for its britches. Of course ESPN is back in the picture again now. I do not mind Toyota being in the series. In this day and age it is a global economy. Toyotas are made domestically, Dodge is owned by Germans ( I think). I don't doubt that half of what goes into Chevys and Fords are made overseas. In a nutshell I think over-commercialization has hurt the sport. This thing with the Black race official is going to be interesting. Her story is almost unbelievable but I don't doubt there is some discrimination going on too. The truth certainly lies somewhere in the middle. But in the middle will probably yield her a large payday.
  23. no harm, no foul Gerald.

    Fathers Day

it's been a great day. I had a water heater go out earlier in the week. Plumbers at some point unplugged the freezer and neglected to plug it back in, discovered it today by the smell( seafood). Got that fixed up and have a lot of spoiled food to go to the dump tomorrow. And to top it off the old lady took one of the quads out for a ride. About an hour later I could hear her whistling. Of course something broke on the four wheeler. I towed it in and have not even thought about looking at it yet. The upside is that we had to grill out a mountain of ribs and chicken today since it was conveniently thawed out for us. At any rate is was a heck of a feast. I am off to drink more beer. oh yeah, Happy Fathers Day to you all.
  25. I was wishing you well, not stating a fact.
