At what point do you pull the trigger?
Mike.357 replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I dunno about shooting a barking dog that is still in his own yard, even if he is running at you. Around here the dang dogs bark at everyone, they run at everyone, but not a one of them bites that I am aware of. My closest neighbor has a pit bull type dog chained out behind his house near my driveaway. The dang dog acts like he would kill you as soon as eat some kibble. I went up to him, he charged at me. He then proceded to flop at my feet, roll on his back and try to get a belly rub. Looks viscous but not a mean bone in his body. Juts saying looks can be very deceitful. But if you were planning to shoot that dog, 4 feet is way too close to wait to make your move. -
James is so tough I have seen lead slugs bounce off of him. Howdy there big boy, hope to see you at the next shoot.

I am not so sure this is a good analogy. Who would not want to choose between 50 beautiful woman. It is a no lose situation. But say we had 50 presidential candidates. My guess is we would have 50 lying, unscrupulous scumbags. Still a no win situation

I am not a big fan of being touched. I do not like hugs unless it is from a family member or a hot young lady. I do not like pats on the back, pats on my hip are way out of bounds, way out! Give me my three feet of space and we will get along famous

my beer tastes run fairly low-brow. But I see no scenario that would involve drinking Steel Reserve. Maybe if you paid me to drink it, and that pay was over 2.50 a bottle. -
how long is the barrel and is it a single shot or mag fed weapon? I also wonder pistol or rifle?

an ammunition failure such as a squib does not have anything to do with the gun it was shot through. I think I might contact the ammo maker and let them know what happened.

LOL one of the few perks I get. If you were nearer I would be happy to share. It is possible I may be driving to Nashville in the next few weeks to pick up some booze. we are picking up a new label of value type liquors and I may be the chosen one to do the pick up. Bill is your shop anywhere near Great Circle Rd.? -

I get to be the lucky recipient of a new brown liquor in East TN. Lucky recipient and even luckier test drinker of this fine spirit. We are now distributing Johnny Drum bourbon and Old Bardstown bourbon. Here is a great story about the legend of Johhny Drum http://www.kentuckybourbonwhiskey.com/johnny_drum_story.php Old Bardstown is the other new brand being introduced into East TN. Read the legend of this fine race horse http://www.kentuckybourbonwhiskey.com/old_bardstown_story.php Enjoyable read about some history of the distillery. http://www.ellenjaye.com/kybourbondist.htm At any rate I was chosen to be the taste tester of this fine spirit. I am sampling the 80 proof Old Bardstown and the 86 proof version. Well I tell you if given the choice the 86 proof is smoother and has much softer hints of charred oak, sour mash and a subtle warmess that comes with fine bourbon. The 80 proof is fine in its own right though slightly hotter on the finish. I really look forward to getting the same chance to try the Johhny Drum, which I believe will be a top shelf bourbon. We also finally got some Corner Creek back in stock. So hopefully it will be back on the shelves of your favorite package store in the hills of East TN. This stuff is awesome and one of my favorite bourbons. If you can't tell, I am pretty excitable when it comes to bourbon. -
Right on Tower!!, or should I say "comrade" It looks great in the picture. What year is it? So many questions, so few letters available! Matching numbers? You going to need that mallet back? LOL Can't wait to shoot in tandem with you and the Ruskie rifles!

first clue it was not real is that the ballgirl interfered with a ball in play. You will never ever ever ever see a ball person catch a foul ball out of the air.

there was a lady season ticket holder at Neyland Stadium last year. The school threatened to revoke her tickets if she did not tone down her cheering. Evidently she was driving everyone near her crazy with it.

Thinking of buying a new Mercedes....thoughts?

got to be the stupidest looking vehicle I have ever seen. There is a guy on Tazewell Pk that has a Lincoln done up like that, but I think your Mercerdes tops it. -

I figured as much, I was just testing you. BTW, that was Chad Johnson. I am sure I will get back to him before football season is over. Anyway thanks for your post about the willies. I really did bust a laugh out when I read it. As for George, my oldtimers disease is kickin right now, but I believe I saw him in concert at the Cincinnati Music Hall back around 1978. Did not miss many concerts or comedians back in them days. I will have to look through my stack of ticket stubs. -

so he must have been in the car trying to load up. It's probably a good thing he must have been a permit holder. See now I figured out why you are not successful in the gun business. You missed the perfect oppurtunity to sell him a 9mm pistol. You must have had something that could be converted to a fully with an esstended clip in the backroom. -

I don't think of Carlin as a "foul mouthed" comedian. Most of the stuff he did that I ever heard was not very harsh at all. He was an actual comedian who used humor to be funny rather than a Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy type who use cussing to draw a laugh. I don't know of any comic out there now that can fill this guys shoes.

I see maybe a vague similarity. Is he breaking any laws? I am not so sure. The guy is a tool, and no doubt some marketing guru came up with this. Will it help elect him? Maybe. Subliminal messages work pretty well.
