  1. no video on the site now
  2. non gunny editors??? They probably did not know there is a difference. I also like how Ken stayed with gun facts. He did not stray into using cars or whatnot as examples to rebuke her ideals. I did not get that it was anti at all. I think you are screwed up Strick :)
  3. i don't know why anyone needs so many handguns
  4. Well, I thought that 30 Days did an extremely fair representation of gun owners. I figured it would be fair and all, but this was better than I expected. The only downside I saw to it was one scene from the gun show where they showed the "redneck" stereotype with two AR's on his person. She commented about two "machine guns". Doubtful they were fully auto. Ken was a very normal type gun owner IMHO. I also liked that they just let him and his son be natural. Did that trailer not look like a bachelor pad or what?? Pretty cool I thought. I am guessing they did some serious straightening up to get it ready for the woman to live there. The woman is pretty much wacked. Who sees therapists? No offense intended to anyone who does. But to me it appears she sees one because that is what those type of people do. Not that she could not cope but all her friends probably see them too. It was awesome the way she turned the page and clearly enjoyed handling and firing guns. She has "that" smile that all new shooters get after they get it. Her grin was ear to ear when she showed off her target. Hard to be an anti with that expression. One thing I found very interesting. She took Ken to meet with two other woman who were avowed anti's and had experienced loss to gun fire. Well, they went to Toledo to meet. Leesburg is much nearer Cincinnati, Columbus or Dayton Ohio. Why did they need to travel soooooo far away to meet with a group of anti gun activists? Are there no activist groups in the cities I mentioned? Toledo is quite a ways from Leesburg. Anyway I just found it odd. My favorite part of the thing was the guy who came into the gun shop and she went over the 4473 form. Dude was wearing a #84 TJ Whosyurmama Bengal Jersey!! Who Dey Go Bengals!! And the Pizza place had a Bengal helmet magnet on the door. Don't get much of that down round here yanno. I also loved the little girl in the pizza shop who when Pia asked if the gun bothered her kind of shrugged it off like "no big deal" It was really cool that they also did not show what, where or how Ken carried. They let him keep his privacy. Overall it was great exposure for legal gun owners.
  5. you all have convinced me to never touch that damn thing.

    Iowa Flooding

this is easy to solve. Middle America is not looking for a handout. Heck I bet most of these people affected with the flood are not looking for more than a hand up. Thats the big difference between the Flood of 08 and Katrina vs. NOLa The chocolate city is still looking for handouts and a free ride.
  7. Mark I just peed myself, that was great stuff. aha I just figured out the loophole. The year he refers to is a fiscal year that ends on July 10th. I think he can make it nine more days.
  8. Elliott, the first step is to admit you have a problem.... I am in if anyone wants to get a pool going on his next purchase, LOL And when I read the thread title I wondered why you were buying a Motorcycle.
  9. If the gunny family is not nuts then I doubt they will portray them as such. I dunno but I am guessing the gunny family went through a pretty heavy screening process. I will also guess they are the far side of being a very good representative of "our kind" and will portray us in very good light. Now I am guessing if the producers attempt to show gun owners in a poor light it will come from customers at the gun shop where this lady is working for the month. From the shows I have seen it appears they show things straight forward. I do wonder if they will attempt to scew facts. I am looking forward to it tonight.
  10. clueless on paint cost
  11. the show is an hour time frame. At least every episode I have ever seen is an hour long. It is the guy from Super-Size Me. I have to admit I have enjoyed this 30 days show whenever I have seen it. I think this is the second or third year it has been on. Now I hope I do not space it out and forget it is on tonight, LOL.
  12. How would one actually go about firing it? The dang thing needs wheels and a cason.
  13. seems like an awful lot of effort. I mean it looks like a kick for laughs and all but kind of stupid really. Some guns are designed for the holy black and others are designed to terrify some liberals. The two should not be mixed.
  14. so I am pushing 3 months now and I am having some serious cigarette cravings. The last couple of days it has been on my mind a lot. I wonder if it is my body ratcheting up the withdrawel a little since so much time has gone by. I feel very vulnerable to caving in now. Scared to even go out to get lunch, LOL.
  15. There is a place a little past Halls on Maynardville Pike called Malibu. I have had work done there a couple of times and they are outstanding. The paint looked really good. Insurance was buying but any reputable paint shop pulls their prices from the same software as anyone else. I knew of a guy years ago that brush painted his pickup truck every year. This was probably in the early 70's and the truck was a early 60's Chevy. You never knew what color he would use. I think he bought whatever the hardware store had on sale. No rust at all on it. And actually from about 20 feet away it always looked really nice.
  16. Thats why I want one. Dotsun, don't toss out the brass polish just yet!
  17. I do not normally care much for TV shows. But this one scheduled to air tomorrow night sounds interesting. If you do not know, "30 Days" is a show where they take someone and put them into a totally opposite type of life situation and see what happens during the thirty days. Previously I watched an episode where the guy worked and lived as a coal miner for 30 days. Anyway tomorrows episode centers on a woman who is anti gun. She is going to live with a family of gunnies as well as work in a gun shop, take shooting training and become eligible for a concealed carry permit in Ohio. It is the season ending episode so I am guessing they saved the best for last. That and the SCOTUS ruling on 2A too. It is on FX at 10 pm
  18. can anyone even name a presidential election where the public was happy with their choices? I can't.
  19. I can't believe that what I read in this thread mostly condones trespassing. How about if it was your property being trespassed upon? The two swimmers are criminals, its that simple.
  20. why don't they make lavender guns?
  21. Old Bardstown Distilling Co. As for why, there is a whole pie out there. Everyone wants a slice. A small slice is more profitable than no slice at all. I think this product has great potential. I also guess it will be available in Nashville too. I believe this is better tasting than your VOB from what I remember of VOB.
  22. I don't know for sure what it retails for. I am guessing it will be 10 bucks or so for a .750. Maybe 12 bucks for the 86 proof. There is also a 101 proof version. I have not been able to sample that yet. I think it is a little higher on the food chain that its lower proof brothers. At any rate it comes in a nicer looking bottle and label
  23. The 80 proof seemed like a mediocre bourbon. No character really, not bad mind you but nothing to get worked up over. I am guessing it meets minimum requirements to be bourbon. Now the 86 proof is a bit better. Aside from more alcohol it has more body. It is not as hot as the 80 proof seemed. I would rate it a little better tasting than Beam white label
  24. Man it got thirsty out last night. Started with Old Bardstown and water on the rocks and after quite a few of those I switched it up to some Westerhall Rum with a splash of diet Pepsi for color. My head feels like I was run over by a truck. Thank God I quit smoking. If I went through a pack or two of butts last night I may have actually died this morning.
  25. I am sure if you apply yourself you can find something cheaper and on a lower shelf. Well maybe not a lower shelf. it is possible to find something cheaper maybe. But being a successful business man, you ought to reward youself and step up to a better class of Scotch. Just a buck or three can really improve things.
