I think the best way to handle her is to ask her to make a call or two and find out where you do this gun registration at. Tell her you tried but can't find the answer.

speaking of Radio Flyers my most precious belonging 1000000000000000 garands are not a fair trade, maybe a new F150 though, LOL -
I use a pair of muffs I bought at some cut rate tool store. Cost me 1.99. I am not sure I have hearing loss due to the low cost, but I cannot hear hear you all over the ringing in my ears to know the difference. Seriously protect you hearing at all cost. I worked in the printing business for 15 years until I got smart and got into the golf business, now spirits. No doubt I have hearing loss from that line of work. you only get one set of ears, protect them. I sleep with a fan running to drown out the ringing, is this where you want to be when you are 50 years old?

bastard, leave out some 30-06 and I will be happy to check it out for you. Someone needs to make sure it operates properly, I volunteer. I think I will not care so much in 25 years, but hopefully my grandkids will. -
Mark says this crud all started in the 70's with removing the threat of corporal punishment in schools. Beat kids and force them to pray and things will get better

the "iffyness" of whether or not one has a cell backup was a big seeling point from the salesman who dealt with me. as I remember it though it was like a 30 dollar a month option. I figure the ADT signs are a better deterrent than the actual service. The only time our alarm sounded I got a call from ADT, drove home, and beat the cops here. It took me 40 minutes to get here from work.

Darn right Mark. Years back in the printing industry we used the "good enough for gov't work" saying. Now days I am not so sure it holds the same meaning. My M1 is a fine rifle and is exemplary of that quote. And is some of the best money I have ever spent. Look at the price of a newly manufactured M1 carbine these days. Over 1000 bucks. And I doubt very much that compared to my 65year old battle rifle it is any better aside from not having love marks on the stock. Check these newly made M1's in 65 years and I bet they do not hold up. -
ted ,you forgot to mention the snow gmta NBF

the TV just showed the Brinks commercial where I bad guy busts through the door and the alarm goes off scaring him away as the teenage daughter screams in fear. I know there was a thread about this previously. What a stupid commercial. If the BG had wanted to the teen girl is dead a possum in the middle of the road. The Brinks guy tells her to stay on the line as he calls for help. A hard core criminal would have already cut the phone line and the Brinks call would have never happened anyway. we have ADT, I know it is a waste of money, but it makes the boss(wife) feel better. I know from experience that a security breech takes about three minutes for them to call. Not mere seconds as dipicted in the commercial. What can a determined criminal do in 3 minutes? And how many more minutes until John E. Law shows up? No thanks, I will keep the .357 handy.

Bet the demo was a hell of a scene. The one we handled was a disarmed version. But it would make a fine display in place of my concrete lions, LOL. At any rate if someone other than Mormons was dumb enough to come down into the woods on my driveway the claymore my be more valuable than the ADT sign I have seen several neighborhoods where the county put in speed bumps and speeding pretty much comes to a halt. The mines would be more satisfying. -
Cody is that before or after joining the Army?

I dunno where they are coming from but I am proud to own one. I went to a local surplus store this weekend and they had a couple of M2 mags. I picked up one and am going to get one more. He also had two mags and a connector for them. debating if I need to have two 30 round mags like this, but they were very reasonably priced. Nothing beats good old US GI firearms. The rollmarks are just one example of what we offered VS. other countries wartime goods. My M1 has roll marks deeper and more fine than any other rifle I own. Heck the rollmarks on my post war M44 seem like an after thought compared to what we put out mid war. -

seen one of them courtesy of Mars at one of our shoots. I went to a few surplus stores this weekend, curiously enough no one had any. I would like to set one up at the end of my driveway just for giggles. -

I will assume you are not serious about this action. If you are serious retain a lawyer first. you will get you ass sued off when a wreck happens. Last week I was In Cincinnati. I drove down a connector road between a major artery and another lesser artery. Years back when I lived there this road was open and I have no doubt people sped down it to get from point A to point B. I was suprised to see big old speedbumps in the road. About every 50 yards or so they were. No doubt the city put these in place. I also have no doubt that a request by more than one or two homeowners on the street had these put in place on the cities dime. I suggest you put something in writing making a request for assistance from you city council or county commission. Have as many residents on the street sign it. Go from there. Squeaky wheel gets a greasing, you know? -
where did you take your HCP class?

I agree with not allowing loaded guns into gun shows. It may be your carry weapon, and YOU may not touch it. But I guarentee there is somebody who will go in with a loaded gun, not intending to try a new holster or to sell the gun, and they will end up handling the thing. I carry, check my unloaded gun with the cops at the door and keep my speedloader in my pocket. If I need it I have it.

if that is what you are looking to do then the 10-22 is the ticket for you. Mind now you will end up with a 500 or 600 dollar plinker. 400 of that could be apllied to an AR you say you want down the road. Just sayin...

try pawnshops. there is one in bearden on Kingston pike that has a some rifles. why are you set on a 10-22? They seem to become money pits. You can get a good Model 60, that will shoot great, for a lot less than a Ruger
