I want one

I am left handed and practice shooting righty every time I go shoot. It is becming more and more natural feeling as I get more trigger time right handed. I can operate the hammer safety on a 1911 quite easily using my index finger of my left hand when shooting it left handed. I do carry on my right side though, mostly for like you said a carjacking scenario. I also think it is just as important for a righthanded person to practice shooting lefty too. you never know the situation you may find yourself in. And it is always best to have practiced first. And to add, don't look past getting a revolver. they are pretty much ambidextrous.

I ended up finding that place, they were about 13 a box based on a 500 round order. I am not panic buying. I have been buying some ammo every other week when I have 60 bucks to spare. This was ammo buying week for me. The only thing different I did was go ahead and double up my normal order and got the 500 rounds pack. But mainly that was just to save a little money from the cost of buying single boxes. Just won't be looking for a couple of more weeks now. I did get an email from ammunitiontogo that it would be mid next week before my order shipped due to the number of orders that have been placed lately. Definitely sounds like panic buying going on. Maybe the gun show will have some inexpensive ammo.

I was probably his easiest sell ever. As soon as I got him to get to the jist of the call, ie: reup the membership. I said sign me up for another year and do you prefer mastercard or visa. I thanked him for his efforts. He seemed genuinely suprised by it. All in all it was the best way I could think of to spend 3 minutes on election night.

the spray foaming stuff works great. I use the Smith and Wesson brand. I pretty much believe that stuff cleans as good as doing a detail strip and clean. It is a real time and effort saver.

I am very curious now to see what happens to prices there on ammo, guns and associated gee gaws. No thought of getting good deals but it ought to be entertaining to see some of the prices.

I looked at Cheaper Than Dirt yesterday to price some .30 Carbine ammo. They had Wolf in a 50 round box for right about 12 bucks. Just looked now and it was now 29 bucks for 50 rounds. Good Lord that is craziness.

Now just try, just try to imagine what kind of rights under the 2A we would have without the NRA being there. If that does not paint a clear picture there is no getting through to you.

Seeing as how the election has turned out I thought this was a good time to ask the question. Obama is on record as wanting to cancel out rights in regards to 2A. He is surrounded by people who are equally willing to trample the BoR. Now is certainly the time to come aboard with the NRA. The NRA has flaws. But they are our best option to have a voice in Washington DC. So where do you stand? Is 35 bucks for a hundred or so 7.62X39 rounds more important to you than protecting your right to own the means to shoot those rounds? Not too much happens in my hood, of course we are no where near maximum population density. The Bread Box store about ten minutes from here seems to have something happen fairly regularly. There is a big deterrent just a few minutes in the other direction though, a good reminder of what to expect. County Jail sits just around the corner, LOL With that there are cops up and down the road I am off of all the time. Daniel why do you live there? High roller like you ought to find a nicer place.

Wanted me to participate in a poll about gun rights and such. I found it interesting that they did not urge me to get out and vote, or ask if I had voted. They did get me to throw down for another year of membership. IMHO good way to spend some money.

Blacks voting for Obama is overplayed. Blacks have traditionally voted Democrat anyway. Why would anyone expect them to vote Republican now? If Obama is to win it is not because of race. It will be because the Republicans put a really poor candidate on the ballot. If Obama wins tonight Republicans need to learn from this and regroup as a political party. Find a good candidate who speaks for their people, nominate him and get him/her elected next time out. Frankly the racism is turning my stomache. Dislike the platform, dislike the candidate, but dislike them for what they stand for, not the color of their skin. Black Panthers and their antics are probably the least of the shenanigans going on this election day.

I am mostly hoping for God awful crummy weather nation wide tomorrow.

I dunno but I am guessing back in the 30's no one in Germany thought that was going to happen either. This Obama dude and some of his recently expressed ideologies (sp) scare me.
