  1. I thought for sure when I read the header on the main page as it shows on my computer (Sen. Feinstein reveals) that it was gun legislation.
  2. thats what I am saying. Heck you could be arrested for walking down the street or for any multitude of things not illegal. The badges clearly state CCW or HCP or something to that effect. Now if it said Officer, or Police there may be a case to be made. If I open carried, and if I was wearing a hcp badge I really do not think the cop in a WalMart is going to look at me and think "there goes another cop" or "there goes a guy impersonating a cop". They will more than likely laugh at me and think "what a fool"
  3. this is not the only horror story about Taurus and their warranty that I have read. I really can't see myself ever buying one simply for that reason. Too many bad experiences related on the internet.
  4. I am curious, why would you be arrested for wearing a CCW badge? Say you are shopping in WalMart OC'ing a Hi-Point 9mm or even a Glock, badge on the belt next to the gun. How does that equate to impersonating an cop? I will go a step further, someone show me one instance where a person simply wearing a CCW badge was arrested for it. PS: the heck with the A-Team, I think Suntzu, Punisher and myself ought to be the Mod Squad. I get to be Link. Which one of you tarts is going to be Julie?
  5. I have read that if the ATF is looking into someone they somehow deny that person access to their website.
  6. thanks for the link to the badge thing Daniel, I ordered us each one!
  7. sounds very pro-active to me, considering what complaints here have regarded. I am going to have to stop in one of these days even though it is no where near where I am.
  8. email written and sent to Mr. Pepe. I also took the liberty to include some of his personal information taken from other posts here.
  9. I like to wear my badge right smack dab on my shirt.
  10. big gov't obviously knows whats best for us. No longer is the cry "it's for the children" now the liberals cry out "it's for the good of the people" freaking disgusts me
  11. Thanks, LOL who makes these things up?

    Bayonet legality

extend it when you shoot, its more funner that way.
  13. thats awful, I feel for his family. I have never rode dirt bikes but I had a few bad crashes on quads. Two of them left me feeling blessed to still be alive. I won't even putt-putt to the mailbox without a helmet on. I watched the video one time, that was enough.
  14. I am starting to believe the end is near. December 2012 can't come soon enough for me. Obama is sapping my will to go forward, really.
  15. I was born here, there is not one thing else I need to do to as far as being allowed to vote. There is not one other thing anyone born here needs. If you weren't born here then follow the steps to citizenship, and get a vote. I think the founding fathers would spin in their grave at some of the ideas posted in this thread. And they were pretty freaking smart, amazed I am at how their ideology carries into present day.
  16. I am glad this was covered one more time them. I would hate to get busted by being seen with a casually concealed weapon. The concealed part must be so the sheep do not get scared.
  17. where did you get that from? I was understanding that the rule followed the carry rules in whichever state you were in while visiting the park.
  18. Someone really needs to explain to me how to borrow our way to prosperity. It does not work. Go and run up your credit cards. See if you still have the crap you bought when the bill is paid off someday. It won't work. This package does contain some instant (relatively) job creation. But how many people who have lost their jobs are going to use a shovel on a infrastructure job? How does this help the technical and professionals who are out of work? Maybe the gov't ought get out of the business of trying to be everyone's nanny.
  19. it might be the core issue as expressed by the Republican party. But I firmly believe the Repubs are just mad that they got one upped in their first chance to be in charge. And they were still in charge, but acting like 10 year olds cause their handpicked boy got slapped down. I guess we will know how his constituents feel next time he runs. Personally I like a guy who is a free thinker.
  20. possibly it was an oversize round of S&B. But it did feed fine in the 1911. Only have ever had one auto loader that did not misfeed or fail to exit during the first box of ammo. That was my old S&W Sigma 9mm. That pistol was 100% reliable from the first round until I sold it. About 2500 rounds or so. I have no real concern about the XD45 having any failures. And I feel better about the RIA 1911. Still not 100% confident in it. Also with the 1911 I started using grease on the rails and a dab on the barrel lugs, coincidently about that time it started running 100%. The XD is good to go with a couple of drops of rem oil. As far as what to carry, it is about a no brainer to carry the XD over the 1911. Twice the round capacity really makes a difference in the decision.
  21. Weather permitting I will be there to camp Friday night and probably Saturday too!! Heck you might not be able to get rid of me once I get there, LOL About time we had us a shoot! I think I can get hits on a juice can with the SKS and M1 I can bring a tarp that will allow several shooters to fire prone at the same time. To quote Flounder, "this is going to be great!"
  22. that must be for using in the $1500 Hi-Point 9mm carbine in a previous thread.
