  1. That ain't bad thinking. The thought has crossed my mind before. I am not adverse to trying to move some things or trade. Whats a table cost? Maybe if we had a sponsor. hmmmm TGO hmmmmm
  2. Mark don't rule out the PP for me yet. This FEG is no more than one of them guns that pass through the night. I will not keep it. LOL. I will move it as long as I can break even on it. Thats all I am really interested in with guns. I only own about four keepers. Everything else is always for sale, LOL. Mac, no where on the pistol does it say Makarov. Here is the other side. john I think we got equal deals on those pistols. The only reason I picked the .32 was it was shinier. I found a place that sells mags, seems they have one specifically for this gun. If I have mag troubles I may order one. I have not given up on what I have though.
  3. It is a FEG AP~MBP chambered in 7.65 or .32acp or 7.65 Browning. ( so that ammo, browning,we saw would have been fine) It is a Walther PP copy, not a Makarov as the seller portrayed. Not that i give a crap anyway. It, to me, was the nicest looking used auto loader in the show. Mac the marks on the bottom read ARMTOS LV FL. Armtos was the importer. these were readily available near a year ago for less than 150.00. I believe I paid a fair price. :screwy: Daniels jacket was not that bad. I do have one regret ( not counting the Hi-Point). I found a WW2 vintage plated Navy insignia. Specifically it was a insignia for a Aviation Machinest Mate. My father who died in 1958 served in the war as a AMM2c. He served in a carrier service unit in Hawaii. The guy would not come off the price any. So I walked. Kinda wishing I had just bought it. John, it also seems the mags from my pistol to yours are interchangable. The 9X18 alledgedly hold seven rounds where it will hold eight rounds of 7.65. I don't think it mattered which two fo the three mags mine came with. I did run two mags through it. One mag had two failures and the other ran fine. Gonna give the mags a going over tomorrow. The gun shot pretty well I guess. I was more worried about function than shooting bulls. DA pull is a mother. But SA it feels great. Fit and function is real good. The bore looks new. Easy enough to field strip. I give it a thumbs up.
  4. The show was not bad. I saw one guy get a great deal on a beautiful .380 pistol while we were standing in line. There were deals to be had I think. Prices were predictable. Vendors were the same as always mostly. The only guy I noticed missing was the black man who sold mil surp gear and MREs. Did not see a lot of used semi auto pistols. Did not pay attention to any NIB stuff aside from a Hi Point C9 which OhShoot kept making fun of me for looking at. Not getting that might be my only regret from today. 149 bucks, would have been hard to beat. And I did not see the first HiPoint carbine in the place. The place was CROWDED. Most packed I have seen the Jacob's building. When we left at 12:30 the line was longer than it was at 9:00. Hard to move around inside the place. I missed the guy peeing all tactical like. We lost Mac at one point but found him later. Daniel was easier to find Daniel you are right about Walmart ammo on the tables there. I have never seen that much Remington and WWB ammo at a gunshow ever. I particularly noticed 30 carbine ammo. Same brand (PRVI) on different tables priced from $22 to $33, wow. But there was plenty of ammo, few bucks higher than walmart but it was there. I only was bent over slightly on three boxes of .32acp I picked up. We saw some great prices on two Rockola M1 carbines. Last I saw of John when we left he was going back in. I am guessing he was going to fondle one again. I gave them a good feel up myself. I saw a couple of Garands in there too. I don't dare tease myself by looking at them closely though, just a fond gaze works for me. Probably some giggles I am forgetting about right now too. Oh yeah and this ended up coming home with me.
  5. I would live by the motto that "if it is unseen it is not there" Or that other motto, "don't go places where you feel you have to have a gun"
  6. I get that magazine. I had wondered the same thing. Enfield. It's not very regal looking. Kind of looks odd on a palace guard, but I bet the guy knows how to use it. And I bet he likes it rather than something more regal looking and much heavier.
  7. :stunned:I cannot believe the amount of weirdos here who are anti pocket. whats wrong with you people?
  8. I would have used dorky and fat in my statement, but they both go without saying.
  9. Daniel I will go home today and practice the roll. But I am not sure the gun show would appreciate it when I roll and come up firing! nra we are meeting outside the door @ 9 am Saturday. We will be easy to spot, I will be the guy doing tacticol rolls in the grass, Suntzu will be the slovenly looking guy laughing his ass off, Oh Shoot will be the guy who looks like he lost his FedEx truck while making a delivery. 70below will be the tacticool looking guy fondling a small black newly acquired pistol. The others I am not so sure of, but I have no doubt I can find something to make fun of them over too.

    Big gun auction

I wonder why they picked a gun show weekend to do this.
  11. pocket t shirts rule. There are a lot of fat asses in this place.
  12. I have loaded lead in .45acp and .357 mag. No ill effects. I made sure I was using a recipe that called for lead bullets though. What kind of gun will he be shooting them in? Aren't some barrels not lead friendly? PS: I just checked my Accurate booklet and it shows several recipes for use with lead bullets.
  13. I'd like to teabag a few of them no-goodnicks in DC alright
  14. did'ja buy that cause you like cats?
  15. Vincent those are words to live by. I have a minimum round inventory. If it gets lower than that number no more shooting until it can be restocked. I wanna have some to take to the grave with me.
  16. I have test shot my carry ammo when I decided on what to carry and what ammo to use. I am not thinking much has changed with it. I see mention from time to time that people use up their carry ammo. I assume use it at the range. Just seems like a waste to me to shoot it up. But like David said, it is a good idea to know how the rounds react in your weapon. I agree that some practice with carry ammo is good. Basically from ten feet or so the point of aim is the same as point of impact pretty much no matter what ammo I use. Shoooting defensive rounds from the .357 is not very pleasant and I avoid it now.
  17. I want my minute and a half back....
  18. I have not had to shoot anyone yet at all. I have the same carry ammo I bought near two years ago. It still looks good, no reason to buy new yet.
  19. Its fine, no real reason to have to sell it, just time to move it along and get something else. 70below says Yep out front at nine. Whoever gets there first holds a place in line.
  20. I voted good job, business as usual. But we are getting worried about the wifeys job. No doubt the economy is down. Have stocks tanked yet? Yep but I bet it will get worse before it gets better.
  21. Chilhowee Park. according to the card they sent me. Can't do a tacticool roll through the front door. There are always large groups of people blocking the way as they stand and talk. I am going to try to sell/trade my Llama .380
  22. Saturday morning. someone pick a time or else I will go with 9am. But i am flexible, whatever someone else prefers works for me too.
  23. you never call me, and you can forget about PM's
  24. I thought the lanterns were just 3-D wallpaper.
