  1. go to the first post and research the steel.  It is a great blade.  If it stays sharp depends on if you abuse it.     I abuse knives on cellophane tape and cardboard.  I am pretty sure this knife will hold up from my research.   Might be too purty to work with though.  I will carry it.
  2. meh,  a Hi Point.   Birthdays are over rated other than being better than the other option.
  3. My 8.1 has ABP.  I dunno if I added it or if it came stock with Chrome.   It says 11 right now on this webpage.  I guess it works fine.
  4. post a pic when you are done
  5. funny stuff.  Pretty boring until he he tells three cops FU.   This guy is nucking futs
  6. awesome TV show.  I cannot pick a fav of the ones I have seen.   Mantegna is perfect as a host for it.
  7. When the Allies bombed the crap out of Monte Cassino there were no Germans there.  All the valuables had been removed and sent to the Vatican.   The German general in charge contacted the US and told them they were not there.  Promised it on his name.   We bombed the crap out of it anyway.  Later when Hitler found out that the General had contacted the US he had him recalled to Germany, imprisoned him and had him executed.
  8. wow Elijah 23, you did not hold back,  review it for us.  We have a case, well five bottles still anyway.  it is a bit pricey.   I did not know Elmer was part of Blanton.  Blanton when available is over 60 beans.  Elmer at 32 is now a steal.   My day was made when I found out we got in a case of Appleton 12 year old Friday.   Brought a bottle home tonight.  It is my favorite spirit in this world.   I am stashing another one on Monday.  I am rum guy first and foremost. This is a bottle of Mothers Milk for me.  My Holy Grail is Appleton 21, only way to get any is to go to Jamaica.  And then maybe,  just maybe.  We have not had it in a year.  It is a real treat. Strong notes of vanilla,  a hint of caribbean spices.  The oak is soft and smooth.  Just a smidge of smoke.  The molasses is sweet on the start and gives way to effects of 12 years of oak. Close my eyes, take a sip and I feel an ocean breeze. Makes my eyes roll back in my head.
  9. there is absolutely no proof Zimmerman did anything illegal or really anything questionable here.   Maybe the accuser is a nut bag.
  10.   I'd rather see this opened up to outside orders than see it bagged.  But it is your baby and I support whatever you decide.   mostly if this is a fail I don't see myself spending this kind of money on a random knife.   C'mon people join in on this group buy.
  11. almost hard to imagine in present day the risks taken back during WW2 to get around.     fascinating fact.  Post some more.
  12. good news,  but really Lester you could of made a drive by today.

    Knoxville area?

I could tell several stories about range officer's at Sevier.   But no point in devolving the thread.  All I will say is they let a little bit of authority go to their head.
  14. shoot back and move to a different  firing point
  15. where is the thing that goes up?

    Knoxville area?

John Sevier has odd hours and even odder range officers, LOL.   I have not gone back in years.  It is affordable so it has that going for it. Drove by it today and it was closed.
  17. I hate a thief.  Good luck getting it back.
  18. I never knew about shrinkage,  well not with finished product from a lumber yard.  ;)     I knew 2x4's were not that size but I figured it was just a way for lumber companies to screw us over.  I never fretted over it.     The fine seems a little bit over the top
  19. I was really rooting for Hayden and for him to be innocent. But it sure is not looking good from things posted here and elsewhere on the internet.   If guilty I am pretty sure the balance of his life will be what he deserves.
  20. at any rate even if it was posted it would have not stopped an armed pair of criminals, they weren't customers.
  21. it is not a gun free zone.  They don't post and press releases certainly carry no force of law.
  22.   it was robbed after hours when a delivery was being made.  Not sure what it has to do with Paneras stance on guns.
  23. paper bags are good for the economy.  Sustained growth and all.
  24.   I look forward to the response.
  25. Two words.   pineapple grenades.   that or an AK and ten mags
