  1. I personally find it odd and funny that some words are unacceptable. Like the F word for example. Not just odd or funny on a website but in general. Why is the F word so bad? It describes a normal interaction between members of opposite sexes. One can generally say hump, screw, horizontal mombo, beast with two backs, doing it, etc... and it is socially accpetable. But throw the F bomb out there and look out. And FWIW I find it unacceptable too for the most part, weird
  2. I have been getting this same error a lot since the server changover. Multiple times a day. Sometimes after a couple of page reloads it comes back. Sometimes I give up. Happens on the puter at home and the one at work.
  3. I don't know that snopes is biased but I dare say anywhere there is money involved that there is an agenda. So no telling if anything you read or hear from a website or news source that accepts advertising is actually the truth and nothing but the truth.
  4. I agree all pizza is not equal, pizza here is not so good. And how does anyone know if snopes has an agenda or not? There has been stuff they remarked on that was later proved incorrect. Obama bad mouthing the USA???? Yeah there is a suprise. Someone should invent a drinking game where you have to take a drink everytime he mutters "uhm" when speaking. But then I guess there would be no one still awake after a few minutes of him talking without a script.

  6. My wife and I had a discussion yesterday about the rash of shootings lately and how a person with a legally carried gun might make a difference. She asked me if I was somewhere and a "crazy" came in shooting would I try to take them out. My answer depended on circumstance. I explained if alone, my first goal would be to get out of the place unharmed. I would try to find a back door, place to hide etc.. I am not a killer and I don't intend to be one unless my life is threatened. ( or one of my family) I carry a gun for my protection, not the protection of others. I do not carry to be a hero. I would use the gun to protect those I love, my wife, the kids and grandkids basically. I am not sticking my neck out on the line to protect others who choose not to protect themselves. Some of you all might and probably do feel differently. But my first reaction is going to be to get out, not to position myself to take a shot.

Well I did end up with a good carry piece in the 7.65 FEG

Thanks Titan. I know I will like it. I don't care what people think or say. I like Hi-Point firearms and will own one again. Heck, if they had a 9c in green thats the one I would probably pick.

Titan I have been kicking myself since the last gun show for losing focus and not buying one of the 9c's that was for sale there. Next time I will not listen to OhShoot. I will banish him from my ear. LOL
  10. I would have liked to have gone, unfortunately I had to pay out all of my discretionary funds plus some to get a tooth sort of fixed yesterday. Did anyone go? Mark?
  11. I was researching a pistol I bought a few weeks ago at a gun show. While looking at one of the links I had found the page contained a link titled "Whats wrong with the USA" Being the gun in question is European I figured this was some USA bashing and I was expecting to be po'd about what I would find at the link. Check it out What is Wrong with the USA

I had one and sold it. It was chambered in .40S&W. I have regretted it ever since I did it.
  13. I am curious why CTD is at fault for selling a product that people want at a price they are willing to fork over? What should they do, sell it and not make a profit? Or should they only sell it at a profit level that is acceptable to some people? Whoever bought it participated in supply and demand. It's the American way.
  14. I googled it and can't find anything that backs it up. Just more conjecture.
  15. Here is a question I don't remember being posted in these types of threads. Would you inform the LEO of your HCP if you were not carrying at that moment? He is going to run the DL and see you have a HCP.
  16. here is the correct conclussions to these discussions. CC, 45, inform. Any other line of thought is just wrong.
  17. isn't using the US military for something like illegal?
  18. Glockmeister wrote I would like to see it, my search fu is weak and I can't find it.

    GREEN

they could have done a better job with it. I like Hi-Points but that green is not a good look.
  20. in the case of a Prince Albert, please do conceal.
  21. I get it dude, and you get it, heck most everyone here gets it I am sure. but it may well have gone over the head of a newby poster. Thats all I am saying. not trying to start hard feelings or nothing. I have explained the registration thing to one of our sales reps at work at least three times in the last couple of months. He still does not believe it. All it took was one person somewhere along the line to tell him there is such a thing. He will not believe differently now. Sorry if I was overbearing. Carry on. I would make you give me a hug if you were nearby.
  22. WTF JC, the guy asks an honest question and you muddy up the thread with sarcasm. Everyone here acquired a gun for the first time. Not all of us were absolutely sure of what was involved in the process. We went through the process and learned. The OP is attempting to do the same thing. There is no such thing as gun registration in Tennessee.
  23. Oh heck, thats a widget
  24. I dunno about his FTF issue particularly, but if he loads the mags fully and leaves them sit that way between range sessions the spring will ease up some. Subsequently making loading the mag fully easier in the future.
