  1. I agree with Dave here in his second paragraph. The founders were humble men, they did not think they had all the answers. They bickered over many things, the right to keep arms was one of them. One argument was who should possess or supply guns to the militia. it has been good fortune for us that they settled on individuals supplying and keeping possession of their guns. States rights were paramount to the cause of liberty. They never envisioned the federal gov't controlling rights. Big arguments ensued over even having a bill of rights. Jefferson once said something to the effect that the goverment should be redone in twenty years for the purpose of power staying in the hands of the people.
  2. Oh ammo in general, I have seen some of that on here. I will admit, that when Walmart does have ammo I wish to purchase I do not clean them out. I purposely leave some for someone else. Unless what I am buying is the last lonely box, then I get it.
  3. Who is selling .22 on here?
  4. And a lot of people here were in an uproar when Williams became speaker. Seems he is a free spirit and wants to do what is right. Of course if this issue was on the ballot in a general election I fully expect it would lose by a landslide. Thats the great thing about this country and our form of goverment. The majority do not always have their way. Right can beat wrong in spite of what the majority thinks is right or wrong. Hmmm, I think this is what the founders of the country intended.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

I believe you can speed up the break in process by buffing the parkerizing off the feed ramp.
  6. I wish they would do one here in Ktown.
  7. ain't that the truth
  8. Let me know how that works as a defense if you ever get arrested for bearing arms without having a valid HCP. I agree we have the right, the state does not agree though.
  9. If we had a right to bear arms in TN we would not have to take a class and pay money to purchase a permit to do it. Rights come without a monetary attachment. You can keep and bear arms all you want until you leave your property. I believe we should have the right to bear arms, but we don't.
  10. you could also have gone to a knee as if to tie a shoe lace right in front of him. SPLAT
  11. I am kind of freaked out by this, I kind of figured Punisher as the pitcher and Strick as the catcher. Can't quite wrap head around it being the other way.
  12. if say you had shot him you would have had some 'splaining to do. I am not so sure you would have been seen as in imminent fear for your life. If he was six feet from you he could have killed you before you ever skinned leather too. What the heck is a kangaroos?
  13. I'll rag on both of you. Him wearing it for you and you liking it.
  14. I have come to the conclussion that we have to wait for them to come around on their own. Some may never come around to it. At first my wife disliked my guns. Then she came to accept that I was going to continue to own them. Then she wondered why I wanted a carry permit. But she came to tthe conclussion to not fight my getting it. Then she was not crazy that I was actually going to carry a gun. Now she fully accepts these facts, not quite my biggest supporter but not a detractor anymore. I really believe she is starting to get it. Time is the key for many people.
  15. wow, I saw th pic of you without reading your weight loss caption and I really noticed it. First thought that came to mind was, " that dude has lost some weight" Looks like a real nice hike.
  16. tdr said ain't that the truth. My wife was watching it last night. I heard some of it and could hardly believe they call it country music. i can't listen to it, really I can't. I like county music. give me George Jones, any of the three Hanks, Merle Haggard and others of that ilk. Keep Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney and that girl from American Idol. ( I will admit she it fairly hot though) Country music it ain't.

It sickens me yet I can't look away
  19. i hate them things, now I even have more reason
  20. I honestly do not have a favorite. I kind of look at them like my kids or grandkids. I do from time to time feel more interest in shooting one over another. (to clarify I mean shooting one of the kids over another ) Like this weekend. I have not shot my left handed bolt rifle in forever. Took it out yesterday, yanked the scope off of it. Shot it yesterday a little to get the iron sights lined up again. Today took it out in the big hayfield and shot it at 150 yards. Tons of fun. Before that my favorite was the XD45. Don't know what next week will bring. And I don't shoot any of them particularly well. but I was able to hit a frisbee sized target regularly with that .22 today. From ten feet on in, all the handguns will hurt a badguy.
  21. I missed that rule somewhere.
  22. since you changed jobs and moved the server or whatever "tech" thing you did. I do not know the terminolgy for it. But I do get these errors fairly frequently now, never used to get them at all

titan did you see any green Hi-Points at the gun show today? they are growing on me.
  24. I do not get pulled over much, been years since I have been. But I am informing them. If for no other reason than it may help get me out of a ticket. took my hcp class from a Knox County sheriff, he said to inform. I will go with his judgement.
  25. nra says i am sure that would be a big consolation as my wife and family faced life without me. Sorry that ain't me. My duty is to them and to come home to them.
