  1. Isn't this a refreshing bit of news. Big Al wins the prize for global warming, which does not exist anyway as they now refer to it as climate change or the climate crisis. And the whole climate thing is BS anyway. Just freaking outstanding. Can I be first in line to piss on it when it is in place, or at least fart in its general direction.
  2. I figure you owe me for last years black powder addiction, so we are probably even on that account now, LOL I also want to run a few clips through the rifle. I am thinking something (not sure what) was binding the ammo as it climbed up through the clip. Seemed it was not feeding right. When I stripped the rifle down Sunday morning I did not see anything that looked fubared. So I just cleaned and re-greased the rifle. Heck I spent half the day Sunday fondling it. (for all you pervs out there I refer to the Garand) Was going to shoot it but it never really stopped raining here. I really want to shoot it off of a rest to be able to make reliable notes about zeroing the sight at distance. Been contemplating a wood burning project for the stock maybe, I think Woody would be easy enough to draw. And Sue might have a pink carbine but we all know who made it that way for her, LOL.
  3. I will be getting back to you at the end of the week.
  4. Mark it is too early to tell , but I am going to try to get back up then, maybe this weekend. But I won't know for a few days what is going on here. Sorry to read you are not going to ship out. Well you know what I mean. Also trying to get the business end of our recent dealing sorted out.
  5. No kidding, I want to go out and shoot every round I have. I could easily run through that ammo can. dangit Mark!
  6. I stay out of her TNT she stays out of my bullets. Works out great. (PS: Nice avatar dude, thats what having a weapon with soul does to a person.)
  7. my guess is you have ordered two of them already. I am ordering one now as I type this post.
  8. I dunno if that is really lucky. I prefer my wife to have her own freaking hobbies and to stay out of mine. It has worked good for 21 years so far.
  9. Some one help me out here. I am interested in the restaurant bill, park bill and allowing loaded long guns in vehicles. Where are we at on this stuff. I was out of town last week and have not been able to get caught up. As near as I can tell the following is true. Please correct me where I am wrong. Restaurants/bars, passed both senate and house but going back to house to resolve the time limit thing. Parks is now off to the senate for their vote on it. Loaded long guns ?????? Not sure where we are at.
  10. Nice pics by everyone, What a nice way to relive the day. Wish we could do it everyday, the shooting that is, not the reliving it through pictures.
  11. thats my guess, the price charged is what the market will bear. Seems people have not gotten to the limit they will pay for bullets.
  12. heeehaw Jonathon you are prolly' right about self inflicted wounds.
  13. if it happened I am suprised it did not make it into a newspaper. I assume a gunshot wound means a trip to the hospital. And don't all doctor fixed gunshot wounds have to be reported to the man? When was this supposed to have happened?
  14. Yep it is a blog, yep it is the internet, I suppose that adds up to tin foil hats and all that stuff.
  15. why doesn't it seem credible? Did not read as that farfetched to me.
  16. eerie resemblance, yikes
  17. It was nice seeing new faces at the shoot and always nice to send rounds down range with familiar faces. I look forward to doing it again next time. I posted a few pics on the picture thread at http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/show-tell/20241-pics-fun-april-shoot-new-post.html I really like the service rifle theme to this get together. Nothing beats the thump and accuracy they produce. And "Dangit Mark" I now have a new rifle to feed and care for. Always wanted a Garand and thanks for putting it in my hands. I thank you while my bank account it not going to be happy. Got to fire a magazine from 70belows Tommy Gun, I can't get over how heavy that thing is. Of course with your drum magazine accounting for about 20 pounds I should not have been suprised. It was great to meet some new people, I will not mention any names as I surely will forget some people. But it was definitely my pleasure to meet with you all. Camping Friday night was great fun, for me probably the best part of the outing. We had a lot of fun that night fondling weapony and shooting the breeze. I am still un-recovered from the lack of sleep. Not sure how you 4 a.m. 'ers were holding up yesterday. Thanks, Sue for putting up with us all and Mark it is always a priviledge to hang out with you.
  18. Yeah, never judge a book by the cover and all that. I don't care. She fell out of the guly tree and hit every branch on the way down. No one is going to buy her records. Heck make that record. I dunno about two of them. Unfortunately peope do judge by looks. Besides that her genre of music sucks. I would not walk across the street to hear her sing for free. Of course Janis Joplin wasn't exactly a beauty queen either, but she could rock. This new lady, not so much.
  19. this place is full ( or is it is fool?) of comedians.
  20. no telling when I will be done processing my stuff Cody. It may arrive early but it also may take all day to deal with it.
  21. I wonder how old it is, I did not think anyone even used hot type anymore. Not that age of the lead much matters
  22. I think I was able to get Old Dominion to move me up in the pecking order for Friday. I am hopeful now of an 8 am delivery.
  23. I have a truck load of liquor due at the warehouse sometime Friday. Depending on when it shows will determine whether or not I can come up Friday or not. If the truck shows late in the afternoon I will wait and come up Saturday morning. Either way I am looking forward to the shoot. The weather is looking favorable.
  24. Nothing to deflate Tim. Were just having a discussion. I am not so sure the Declaration was the catalyst or not. I am sure that the revolution began because the English were enacting gun and ammunition bans and confiscations. Those confiscations along with what was viewed as illegal taxation was the straw that broke the camels back. I wonder if another round of gun confiscations on a nation wide scale would begin another revolution.
