    Snake!

True stuff. illegal to kill snakes in these parts, the law makes no allowance for a snake being poisonous. I ain't a fan of them either, but they do help with vermon. I am definitley not down with the vermon.
  3. Don't paint me with that broad brush of a blanket statement. I always said to give the guy a chance. I was proved right too.
  4. as long as Mandarin House does not post I will be freaking happy! Loves me some General Tso's chicken!
  5. Can't thank Mark enough for today. Well really the thanks goes to Sue for putting up with our antics, she is a heck of a sport. But i really owe Mark for my birthday present. The vintage steel pot M1 helmet. I don't think I can shoot the Garand without it anymore. It would feel like something was missing. Was a perfect day for fighting the Battle of the Bulged. The best news is that our side won! We put a bunch of ammo through the Garands. Figured out the bang button problem in my HRA Garand, and stress tested it to make sure it was a go. We took a little break when the weather got threatening, but ended up back at the range later on after accurizing my M1 carbine. Went from shooting groups the size of a paper plate to shooting baseball sized groups, with lots of hits in the bullseye. Can't wait to get it back out and shoot it again. Don't know how to rank the fun today as there was so much of it. But watching Lorraine shoot a mess of different stuff from off the deck was a hoot. As always we should have taken more pics. I am guessing we dirtied up near a dozen guns today. Was nice to see Gunslinger and his posse (Tnmale and Nutcase)today too. Too bad you guys had to run off before the real fun began. Nutcase did you show your daughter the Rossi yet? What a great day. Hopefully you will get back once or twice before shipping out and we can do it all over again. PS: Yep John you really missed out. I know you would have loved the battle rifle shooting.
  6. I can't find it now, but they used to have a link on their website, if you entered a zip code it would show customers in that area. I quit ordering from them when I found that. Don't know if they still have it or not. Was given that link by a guy from THR
  7. yep you wouldn't want to post a location so people who do not understand the nickname would know where you live.
  8. no, have not had time to shoot since we did the swap. I will test it out next time I can get out in the woods. I have been wanting to run it through the little bolt rifle. I like using it for testing different rounds. Going to Marks tomorrow, hoping to run some of the greek through the Garand I hope the weather co-operates.
  9. i found some of that stuff here this week, but have not shot it yet. I have found that in rifles I seem to get better accuracy out of 40 grain bullets and I believe these are 36 grain. But I am looking forward to trying it. But with that pistol you are more worried about reliable feed.
  10. and you all thought Williams was doing us dirty when he snagged the throne.
  11. I would love to have one, makes a good hide out gun.
  12. thats pretty cool TNV, even is some are unapreciative. I like to stop by in the morning hours during the week. One of the things that is nice about a job with personal freedom. I really believe the 6 box limit is helping.
  13. I am sure you are right eyebedam. Really seems to be a lot of it lately. I much prefer when new threads are started so people can say something like "try the search next time you doofus, search is your friend" etc... LOL And Howdy to all the new people!!
  14. I studied latin in school, thats not what that says.
  15. Cabelas ships here. BPS ships here. EMF ships here. Taylor in Virginia ships here. Plenty of options. Order from Dixie Gun Works, they are in TN Aside from that, what is up with all the thread resurrection around here lately?
  16. this thread is already too bulky to make sense of. I prefer a thread that names the store. Not sure how individual threads will increase bandwidth usage over one really large thread with the same info in it. Hopefully this will all ease up soon. At least Walmart, when they do have ammo is not ripping us off. Prices are close to what they were last year. I personally would like to see the people who hoarded walmart ammo, with hopes of ripping desperate ammo seeking gun owners off at gun shows, get stuck with ammo they can't sell for profit.
  17. I am good with whatever particulars there are with this bill. I do not go to bars, been there done that moved on. If I was to go somewhere that served alcohol, it would be a restaurant such as Texas Road House, Gondolier, Aubreys etc.. So I am not worried about whether a place is a bar or a restaurant. As for improperly posted business, concealed is concealed and I will disregard those improper signs. I really do not expect to see much in the way of postings at all much less proper posting. I really can't hardly believe this got through the house. too soon to say it will be a law yet, but we are looking good. I am guessing Bredesen will let it rot on his desk and become law in that manner.
  18. i thought every place in TN thats serves alcohol also must serve food. Doesn't serving food meet the definiton of a restaurant?
  19. I will have no problem going to a Copper Cellar Corp restaurant. I don't really care if he puts up a no guns sign. As long as the sign does not meet the legal requirement it means nothing. A half expect there to be signs with circle and slash. That is for soccer moms and nilly willys to have peace of mind, not to keep us out.
  20. now where does Bredeson stand on this?
  21. ain't that special now

    VE Day + 64

I am going to celebrate this occassion over the weekend by shooting the rifle that brought the Axis to its knees! bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang ping
  23. Nah, I don't mind the noise, and don't much care if the neighbors do.
