  1. Gibberish? Thats is some rightous testimony Can't wait to shoot some of your .380 TJ's editing was spot on as well. Oh yeah, 440 rounds of X54r from Ammotogo in the house!
  2. so you call it a "snubby"? I call mine "big lou" LOL
  3. the remaining case was intact. The little $10 tool worked great. I should have bought it years ago.
  4. I was at Beale St one time. So my experience is very limited. Aside from the place that fries hamburgers in 100 year old grease there was nothing there that made me want to go back. Lots of bums and way overcrowded bars. It is kind of funny to think they believe they will be making it safer.
  5. okay, the sharpest tool in the drawer was not needed to remove the broke casing from the extractor tool. Simply unscrew the base of the thingy and slip the broken casing right off. DUH
  6. Jimmy's truck was named "Honey Wagon" Heck the 200 bucks was worth the crap being posted in this thread, LOL
  7. Good deal Rightwinger, nothing like a sealed can of ammo to put a smile on a persons face. I believe my tin is coming tomorrow. No doubt I will peal it open. Who knows maybe I will exhibit some maturity and save it until I need it. Ah who am I kidding? LOL Yep OS, it is stuck like Chuck on the tool, but it is out in the open. I am thinking the rotary tool, or even a hack saw blade will take care of it. The stuck piece is about 3/4 of an inch long. No way would I have gotten it out without this extractor tool.
  8. Well the little tool to remove the broken casing came today. I skipped the wintergreen oil, figured whatever penetrant I had used would have worked in by now anyway. I slid the extractor into the chamber and slammed the bolt forward, it shut tight. I went to pull back slowly on the bolt and it would not budge. I kind of figured if would be difficult and it was. I took the mallet I was given by Towerclimber a while back and gave the bolt a sharp wack. Sure enough it pulled back and ejected the tool like it was a spent casing. I fetched it off the floor and the broken casing was in place in the tool. The rifle ought to be good to go now. New problem though. How in the heck to get the broken case off the tool. I am sure I can come up with something to solve that riddle. I am just happy the thing worked as advertised. I wish I had bought it a long time ago. I am guessing it will come in handy some time down the road again.
  9. glad to see the yutes of today aren't afraid of a little recoil
  10. so all you guys on city sewer are paying around 30 bucks a month for that service? Thats a lot of cash over 6 or 7 years.
  11. This was one of Jimmy's suggestions to keep the bacteria going, that or cottage cheese. Every couple of months down the toilet. he also said the Ridex works fine just old buttermilk or cottage cheese is cheaper. Jimmy said nothing about this. hmmmm maybe he wants his 200 beans every 6 years. Dunno No where in our discussion did he mention that it would not need any more pumping out. We have been using Ridex since we bought the place. but the thing was pretty full up. It took two days for that sour smell to leave my nose.
  12. wjh says Will the real John Kerry please stand up?
  13. That is the last place the boss and I have gone out to eat at. I liked it fine. No clue if they are gonna post, and I ain't gonna go ask.
  14. thanks for having us Jason, we are all coming back this Saturday
  15. this may be one of the few topics I have never seen mentioned here. Anyway. I was talking to my neighbor about a week ago. I was way up the driveway trimming trees and he came over to shoot the breeze. Among topics we discussed I mentioned his buddy who drives a septic service truck. Turns out his buddy owns the septic service. Turned out as well that said buddy was coming by to visit that Sunday afternoon. I asked my neighbor what he knew about septic tanks, and if his trailer was on one or if he had sewer service. He has septic like I do. Never having had a home that had a septic tank before I asked about how often they need to be emptied. He said that 5 to 7 years was normal. We have lived here 6 years, and who knows when it had last been serviced. :poop: I asked him if he had his buddys phone number and what he charges. He said he would have the guy, ( Jimmy) come back and see me. So Jimmy comes back that afternoon. I basically repeat my questions about septic. He confirms 5 to 7 years. And the price of 200 dollars. Well, 200 if I dig. More if he digs. So I tell him I am clueless about where the tank is, much less where access to the tank is. he walks to my backyard, takes a look around, walks over to a spot and points down, says it is right here. Pokes a stick in the ground and says the lid ought to be right about here. I tell him I will dig and call him when I find the lid. I dig and sure enough, about 12 inches down is the lid. I uncover the lid in short order. The lid is about 18 inches square. I call him and we set up a time for the next day. he comes by, opens it up, ( big yuck :poop:). Sure enough it is about 6 inches from backing into the housebound pipe. Caught this baby just in time, surely within a couple of months I would have had big time pooh issues. Since I have never seen it done, I hung around while he pumped it out. The tank is huge, turns out my tank is like industrial sized. Almost twice as deep as he expected. And the smell while god awful was not poopy smell. It was more like real sour milk. That smell is from the bacteria growing inside that helps eat the poop. Also learned that powdered soap is very very bad for septic. it turns to cement and can block off the in pipe to the tank. Our washer is not on the septic line so I am good to go there. Also learned to not use anti-bacterial soap. As that soap kills off the bacteria that eats off the dookey. He also has me fetch a few potatoes for him. He cut them up and tossed them in the tank. They will jump start the bacteria growth in the freshly cleaned tank. He also left a few inches of pooh inside. Totally emptying is would be bad he told me. Something to do with bacteria again. So anyway I guess the moral of the story is have your tank pumped every 6 years, watch what soaps you use and if you take care of your septic system it will take care of you. How much do you all pay for sewer service every month? I thought 200 bucks every 6 years sounds really cheap for pooh upkeep. Doubtful I will ever willingly hook up to sewer.
  16. I stand corrected. You flatlanders have that benefit. TV reception on my side of the ridge is somewhere between little and none.
  17. Technically that is American made. HA
  18. I pay for Sirius. I am not sure why the populace feels entitled to free stuff. I understand the airwaves of traditional radio and TV have always been free, with the exception of advertising anyway. I am not sure if advertising is worth it. Aside from commercial radio sucking the big one. Same with TV. Why did the government pay a buttload of money so people couid get discounted converter boxes? Why are they entitled to the gov't tit? If you want to watch TV then pony up and pay.
  19. thanks for replying Bill. so according to what Fallguy had said the "no gun" circle would have been sufficient. I wonder what made the media decide they need to influence news rather than just report it.<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
  20. I like the idea of using a quad to check targets. Hates the walking part of it. I/we have two of them. a 325 2x4 and a 500 4x4. The 500 is a death machine. A big old gong is perfect. You can really hear the hits.
  21. Only slightly better than the Fountain City option.
  22. what kind of quad do you have? I has hit the 200 yard gong before the ammo malfunction. I have used a 4X4 on your m44 before. Same ammo, hmmm
  23. I do not feel safe in Fountain City, lots of shady types living there.
  24. I used to work with a couple of kids from Dickson, Ken and Crutcher. Two of the funniest guys I ever worked with. It was always entertaining when they wer eon the schedule. I had taken about 100 rounds with me Saturday, maybe got 17 through it before the broke casing. I am still jonesing to shoot it. It was very disappointing. i really hope the extractor works. Having 440 more rounds coming this week is not making things better either.
