  1. Maybe bury him next to Elvis's headstone. We all know Elvis is alive
  2. Garufa talking about his 91/30 said I do not have a bayonet for mine. I should have borrowed yous to test. I did think it a little weird that both of our 91/30's front sights were offset to the left by about the exact same amount. I think I will move my sight and see if that does not bring me back closer to center on the targets. Not that I mind using KY windage though.
  3. awesome post Punisher
  4. all we can do is be happy that Michael is "up there" playing music with Janis, Jimmy, Jim, Elvis, John, George, and a host of others. You all can spend time hating on him, I am thankful he is playing in the heavenly band.
  5. I feel you FordGuy. I can't get enough of the M1, I want to shoot it everyday. It is my go to gun and the first line of defense against zombies. I would like one of the Gamo air rifles, especially if I was somewhere that regular gunfire was not going to work out. SUNTZU, I hope your move is going well. Would have been nice to have you there in person today rather than photo replicas of you that we used as targets. PS: I really think I will need to get you a new spinner target. Yours is bent and cratered pretty bad. No holes yet, but I am trying.
  6. Actually I thought about that earlier. We can trade some if you want. I have a fair amount of 4 different kinds of reliable ammo. Thank goodness that split casing stuff is all gone. I have slight quantities of some stuff, we can trade. Not sure it really matters ,LOL. It all goes THUMP. I really like the light ball stuff (brass cased) that I shot today. was quite pleasant shooting. I think it is Hungarian, but not sure. Dammit,. now I am surfing and will order some crap I do not need, Thanks buddy! LOL
  7. what is installation on the Mosin Nagant like? I am ready to order, just wanna know is it a do it yourself deal?
  8. I still cannot believe it, but after blowing the hell out of some targets today with Garufa I stopped on the way home for some liquid refreshment. Usually it is fast in and out, grab some Coor's light and go. Today i stood dumbfounded in front of the beer cooler at the IGA. So many choices, so much thirst to quench. I decided on Corona Light. Also got a bag of ice to dump in the box. I know it is like the polar opposite of Coor's Light. But the other night, in an act of kindness, and from out of the blue, I mean way out of the f'ing blue, my wife brought home a 6 pack of Corona Light and three limes. In 25 years we have been together she has never, not even one time, bought me beer from out of the blue. Well it was delicious. So today while studying the beer cooler at Midway IGA I opted for a 12'er of Corona Light. It has been very good. Only 4 more to go. Damn, not even 9 pm yet. I hope beer is not a gateway to liquor.
  9. I should have requested the honor of pulling the trigger on that AR, But I am very scared of developing a fondness for them. It was very 60's looking and I liked it a lot. Actually it is taking all the restraint I have to not go and order some more x54r ammo.
  10. link a websight for a brother.
  11. met up with Garufa today at John Sevier range up near Halls. We had a real nice time, stuck around until they called last shot and then threw us out. I know Garufa threw some lead downrange, not sure what or how many exactly. I will testify that he had one really nice looking NBR on the bench. I did not look a lot as I do not want to catch that sickness. but I do not think I have ever seen a nicer looking rifle. I put over 100 rounds of x54r on target. I was real impressed about how well the beater 91/30 shot. I have no doubt one of you marksman could have shot some amazing groups. I took a full belt of Garand ammo but only shot 3 clips. I also put near 100 rounds through the M1 carbine. Man that is one rifle I love to shoot. Can't stop pulling the trigger. If it was a belt fed I might never stop shooting it. Got a real nice group ( for me) from it on the last two magazines. Put some .22lr thought the Ruger SAS but that doesn't really count. The Russian beauty was the belle of the ball for me this afternoon. I wish today was going to be tomorrow
  12. good shooting mrnick. Nice looking target. I put a major hurt on some paper this afternoon. Doubt mine looked as good as yours, but from 100 yards a deer would have been down for the count and Nazis would have been getting the heck out of Stalingrad. I am really thinking the 91/30 is my favorite rifle. Might need some piano wire to stop the forestock from splitting, but I don't mind.
  13. internet is unreliable in Alabama
  14. emailed to two Senators, one of which ought to stick to playing the piano. Told both of them to vote no, stressed it several times actually. Told RINO Lamar if he voted yes I will vote for anyone who runs against him in the future.
  15. you can see he takes his clothes off under the blanket. I was let down he did not get insertion with the remote.
  16. I met his grandson Roger a couple weeks ago in Crossville. He made a point to tell me he was Alvin's grandson, LOL.
  17. Here are a couple of links for ammo for the Jap rifle. I am sure you can find more if you look. great piece of history you have. Ammunition To Go : 20rds - 6.5 Jap DRS 140gr. Soft Point Ammo - $20.95 6.5 JAPANESE 50rds FMJ Reloads - $50.00 : Buymilsurp.com, Your source for military surplus.
  18. I put a box of 7.65 out of the FEG AP and a box of .45 auto out of the RIA 1911 this afternoon. Would have done more but the skeeters were really bad. I have a feeling tomorrow will be a little louder and longer range.
  19. very Elvis like
  20. how does that improve perfection?
  21. jackson's attorney speaking in circles about an overdose and those who enable him
  22. Guy speaking as a guest on Fox News just had a Freudian slip. Mentioned Michael touched a lot of people in a lot of ways. Yikes.
  23. I am responding to the thread without reading it first. All I can say is OMG. Love him or hate him this is the biggest celebrity death since Elvis. He was one year younger than me. Sure makes a person feel their mortality.
