  1. We sold the last of what we had a week or so ago. Call Horizon, I believe hey distribute Blackstone in your neck of the woods. Maybe they can tell you a retailer who has some out there.
  2. thanks BK, I am barely in the top ten, I need to apply myself more
  3. I can't find where you are coming up with these rankings
  4. I think the "joined" date ought to play into it. some of you guys are relative newbs in terms of longevity, but have lapped the field in number of posts.
  5. ridiculousness ^^^^^^^^^^^
  6. you guys have post counts that totally reflect a lack of a life and good sense. Seriously you ought to be ashamed.
  7. nice looking rifle alright. Very M38 ish haha. Furniture is outstanding.
  8. the thing I see now from these people is that they are not worried about the gun carrier doing something but rather the other guy who would make a grab for our guns. yep good train of thought there. They come out and say a drunk person grabbing at the gun, but it is illegal to serve a person to the point of being drunk.
  9. sounds interesting mrnick. Post up a pic or two when you can.
  10. you have slowed down, you used to be on a pace that would have you in 5 digits by now LOL
  11. Nice of you to weigh in Mark. I complain about the shoulder, I figure the eyesight goes without saying. I can't see the bullseye at 100 yards. I just aim in the general direction and lob them in there. I figure if I can hit a sewer lid at that distance I did my part. I do believe a big part of any accuracy with a Mosin Nagant is the ammo. I have some that is pretty consistant and had some that is all over the place. I am getting a bit of Russian ammo soon and I am curious as to how consistant that will be from round to round.
  12. No big deal, the fourth of july comes along every year
  13. Nah, it did not go fully the other day when I shot it. I think it was just gunked up with powder residue and grease and such, I cleaned it up and it did not do it again. Kind of disappointing, LOL I think the XD45 needs some exercise.
  14. forgot to ask, whats a "sneak"?
  15. I have found that shooting from the bench that a butt pad does not really help all that much. The only way I can shoot it sitting down is to support it with my elbows or hold it totally up in the air with my arms. Off a rest it makes me cry. I like the screwed on pad if for no other reason than it adds some more space from my eyes to the rear sights. And it really does not look goofy like a sleeve looks. I think old age comes into play too when shooting the thing. I have sore shoulders just from being an old fart. When I was a young buck recoil was laughable.
  16. I appreciate you purchasing this particular wine! It came from my warehouse! I handle a lot of it daily, LOL
  17. I do not think Sevier is viable this weekend. I dunno if the holiday matters but the first weekend of the month they have national guard stuff going on and the range is closed.
  18. I find it really hard to believe that you cannot find wine you want in or around Nashville. Nashville has a couple of the biggest wholesale houses in the state. I know for a fact they sell fine wines. Heck Knoxville is way more hick than Nashville and we got French wine and everything around here.
  19. I just got back from the Norris PD with my annual pass in hand. The officer at the counter strongly advised purchasing a pass before Saturday morning ( to shoot Saturday). He also said the station is open 24/7. But then advised to come before midnight to get it. So that gives everyone three days to get up there. He also volunteered that people caught at the the range without a paid pass are subject to citation for trespassing and a $150 fine. Whoever they enter with will lose their pass and key. So there you have it.
  20. where do you live? One thing to check out too, I am not sure you can order just any wine online. If we sell it to retailers I do not think you can up and order it direct from the winery. Wine labels are assigned by contracts.

    Scout Rifles

yeah you already have a Garand. What else would you need?
  22. flareups help add flavor, just need some liquid to help control it. Never seen a Vermont Casting grill, but then I have nevr seen a grill that does not flame up once in a while.
  23. And that is why I would take a milsurp instead of the ar type rifles. My milsurps have soul. I think the price is fair. If you looked harder maybe you find one for less, maybe not??? No reason to jump though. They are not impossible to find just yet. But if you like it then get it.
  24. nice, gotta have the extra rack. I also like the condiment bin. A spray bottle with water is a must, and you got the place to keep it. Of course a bottle or two of beer works as a good water substitute.
