So what do you think of the College Football Playoff system?
Mike.357 replied to maroonandwhite's topic in General Chat
most of the SEC mess will play itself out before the season is over. The whole thing kind of makes me laugh anyway. Last year and previous people would bitch about who was #1 or #2 and why #3 deserved a chance, now we will bitch about why #6 is more deserving than #4. When it goes to 8 teams then people will argue about #10 being better than #8. It never ends. -
and most important if you ever buy one get a tool for working on the bolt. If you need to change an extractor you will need to have the tool or grow a third arm. Garufa once described changing an extractor without the tool. I still can't figure out how he did it, pretty sure he doesn't know either.

Bernheim is distilled in Bardstown. That place makes me shrug when it comes to some odd bourbon. It is distilled at Evan Williams and they make up a distillery and give it a name. Not to say that it is not good stuff, but just that it is not some small time boutiquey distillery. It comes from Heaven Hill. They distill billions of gallons of hootch each year.

was told Pappy was released in Middle Tn. So if you are there start looking. Hopefully we will have it tomorrow maybe or early next week. No telling really in the logic of their release date plans. Sold out of Jeff's Ocean today. Won't know until next week if we will get more soon. Sold a bottle of Blanton's today. The customer was in yesterday and bought a lot of wine and a bottle of Eagle Rare. I offered him up a bottle of 17 year old Eagle Rare. He turned it down and said what he really needed was a Blanton's with the letter T as a stopper. Another employee dug around and said we did not have one with a T. I did some digging around and found one. Had a T. Got ahold of the customer and left a message today that I had his T stopper. I really feel good after I help someone find what they need.

there was only ever one real reason why I had to have one. That reason's name, Lt. Hanley.

So from reading the last line it seems you hold fast with some parts of the constitution. But from reading the rest it seems you do not hold fast with all. Or that whooshing sound I hear is your point flying way over my head

'scuse me but I just chubbed up -
I see no point in buying a new repro M1 Carbine. The allure is it being the War Baby. Mine is a Inland '43. Looks like a tank rolled over it but it is the last long gun I would ever part with. (not counting the WASR) Bump fires like a mofo with a thirty round mag. (can i say that here?) Kills paper plates at 100 yards all day long. If you have one then find a bayonet and scabbard.

it is my all time favorite rifle. I'd skip adding any optics to it. Not sure how the Fulton rail becomes stable as the front handguard is not stable.

"Sons of Guns" stars Stephanie Hayden and Kris Ford were arrested Friday

she looks like a meth user hitting kids is never the answer -
the idea behind Ocean is to replicate the effect of shipping barrels on barges and riverboats in the olden days. The whole story of crossing the equator four times and hitting 50 ports is funny. But then again Kelt Cognac ships their spirit around the world before bottling it.

IIRC the WLW is a little higher than Stagg. Stagg was in the 130's. I can't drink it without watering it down some. Everyone of us who tasted the WLW straight had the same painful reaction. It was fun to see our reactions to tasting it. And we have some Jefferson's Ocean on the shelf. Near 80 bucks. I got to try that a few months back and was fairly impressed by it. It has been difficult to get

the stars aligned and I was able to buy a Larue today. 140.2 proof. Interesting stuff. I still can't believe they let me buy it. I opened it up and had everyone working try it. We all started with a straight sip. Wow. Smooth as silk until it rolled down the throat and then it was like a Mushroom Cloud in the chest. I am pretty sure this is the strongest whisky I ever tasted. We all then cut it with water and what a change. really opens it up. Usually I water down whisky with equal parts This can easily go to 2/3 water or even 3/4 depending on taste.

There is Eagle 17 around

I think Larue was one of them

I think about this thing at least once a day it seems. -
I was very glad when a M1 Carbine flashed onscreen it did not have a bayonet lug. Pitt had bad ass personal weapons, really enjoyed that.

went and saw it this afternoon. Certainly won't contend for an Oscar but it was very entertaining. Lots of good battle scenes. Pitt's character is pretty ruthless. He seemed very believable in his part. It really felt like you were inside the tank with them.

it is very possible that East TN got it before middle TN did. Usually that is only a matter of days though, your area might have it today or tomorrow, certainly by next week.

some highly sought after bourbon was released by distributor's yesterday. Weller Antique varieties, Sazerac Ryes, George Stagg varieties and maybe one or two others out of the Buffalo Trace distillery. One was a Stagg wheat bourbon, IIRC. Looks interesting. None of it in quantity that allows me to hold any back for anyone. Call around to your local liquor stores and see if they have it for you. Pappy and Rip should be soon. On that I probably can hold some of the Rip Van Winkle back for a few people when we get it. Of course based on quantity that we receive.

F bombs are never acceptable in mixed company and certainly not in a video and even more not acceptable to be used by kids.

aside from the senseless tragedy that was this robbery I thought it in very poor taste for the news channel to show a help wanted sign at that store during their report.

exactly. Once the law is in, what the voters okayed will change. Someday we will have Sunday sales too. Also to properly compare wine prices state to state you have to look further than retail pricing. Taxes are built into it all. All sin taxes are not alike from state to state.

Liquor stores as of July 1 2014 can sell pretty much anything they want to now. The trade off is not really good. Beer and pop have poor markup. But it is what it is. You will not pay 20% more for wine at a liquor store than at a grocery store. As the law is written now grocer's must mark their product up at 20% minimum. Wine shops can sell it for cost if they so choose. Though no one stays in business long by selling product at cost. Wine stores typically work on a margin of 30%. Liquor markup is less. Sale items have less than 10% profit. I don't know as a fact but I guess when all is said and done liquor stores make 10%.
