  1. yeah Jordyn, nice young girl, never let my glass go dry. I appreciate that in a waitress.
  2. We had a real nice time at the Hooters. Food was good on my end, looked appetizing on everyones plates. I think we made a good choice going there. We had a nice group of lawful gun owners. No one waving guns around, no shots popped off just for kicks. Rumor has it someone even went out to change their rig so as not to print. I honestly don't think anyone was made, I don't even know who was carrying anyway. Was very nice meeting Ron, Eddie, Brian, Whitney, Slugs fiancee ,FtnCityfatboys daughter, and of course our lovely waitress. ( dang forgot her name.) Always nice hanging with the familiar faces in attendance. You guys (Brian, Whitney, Ron and Eddie)who have not shot with us really need to make effort to come join us next time. Thanks for coming out everyone! It was a night to remember. Hopefully the day will come when no one even thinks twice about having their piece with them anywhere they go.

    Revolver rifle

try EMF Corporation , (google it). I believe they sell an 1858 Remington revolver rifle. If not EMF there are several source for them NIB. Dunno about used. I would not worry about the hot gasses too awful much. It is not like they are not reliable firearms.
  4. yep I guess meeting outside the door.
  5. I drive a red Ford pick up with a tool box. Fat guy wearing a khaki Dodge Motorsports hat and a pair of brown cargo shorts. Probably will be wearing a blue button down short sleave shirt, unless I lose it in the heat. OhShoot is a tall old guy, can't miss him, LOL seaslug is very tacticool looking, expect to see him yelling contact and rolling through the parking lot
  6. Papa Murphy's is pretty fair, you can use food stamps to pay for it.
  7. look forward to seeing you and the posse Slug. Just got off the landline with OS, he confirmed attendance. I am cutting the sleeves off my born to kill shirt so my rebel flag tat shows in the pic. I will be the guy holding the PBR
  8. I feel ya, to me going 65 is hauling ass, LOL
  9. hauling ass with a trailer is fine and all until something goes wrong. I assume that is why they all seem to have the 55mph warning. I like the TSC trailer, I have seen them and they are very sturdy. Would work great for hauling a quad or yard tractor. ( TO ADD i WAS SPEAKING ABOUT ONE WITH A GATE)
  10. white castles are actually good. Krystals have way too much bun. It is like eating a dough burger. If the Krystal bun was a LOT thinner it would be better. White Castles have that steamed in flavor fo the onion which gives it a big advantage over the bland krystal. I never heard White Castles called sliders until we lived up near Chicago.
  11. Rays ESG on Kingston Pike in Knoxville has the Gun/Circle Slash/ No Guns/ Gun Free Zone sign in the window next to the front door. The Gun Free Zone thing actually kind of skeeved me out. Glad I was there on business only.
  12. I had the chance to go by two Calhoun's today. The one on Bearden Hill and the one by Pellissippi Parkway. I did not get out of the truck, but the front door area was not posted. The only signs I saw were what CC they accepted and the univeral "no smoking "signs. Nothing mentioning firearms at all.
  13. I had the chance to go by the Hooters on Kingston Pike. It WAS NOT posted in any manner. I will assume the one on Merchants will be the same way And to add, we are all adults. So this is a slight reminder to stay within the legality of the TN HCP.
  14. i will be there. Should make it by 7 pm
  15. I can't hardly eat that tomatoey thick Wendy's like chili. I am not a very big fan of tomatoes anyway. So basically any food that is red can go away. Cincinnati chili is brown, actually there is chocolate in it among other delicious ingrediants. Can't do coffee, I can't get past the nasty stale burnt smell of the stuff. Always hated how it smelled in out house every morning. Seriously I dunno how you all drink it. Yep gotta love the hills and mountains here. They are why we chose this place when we bailed from south Florida Thats is just blatant lie. Gold Star is not that good, but I believe it is the sour onions they use. The chili there is fair at best. TacoBell meat is just this side of rancid. When we lived in Illinois they caught a Mexican who was working at our local Taco Bell pooping in the taco meat, have not eaten Taco Bell since. And of course if any of youi remember Zantigo you would not eat Taco bell anyway. Zantigo was a fast food mexican place like Taco Bell, but the food was actually good.
  16. there is no great pizza in Tennessee. At best it is edible. I believe you have to go to south Florida or NY city for great pizza. Big Ed's, meh. Its allright, but it ain't great
  17. oh, and one thing I cannot believe. We are talking food and SUNTZU has not chimed in?????
  18. 56Fordguy, your post proves to me you all don't know about good food. I don't drink coffee either. Good rebuttal though, I will give you that, LOL, Yep good stuff. Heck its food, even when it sucks it is good!! bukowski, one way to tell if someone is from Cincy or not when eating Skyline is the manner in which they eat the 3-way ( or 4-way or 5-way). Did you try to swirl it on your fork or did you cut it with the edge of the fork then slide the fork under to pick it up? The cheese holds it all together. Cheese coneys (with onions) is what I usually get at a skyline. I am aware of Skyline at Krogers. My wife makes it once in a while. Usually we get packets of Cincinnati Chili Mix and she makes it from that. When we run out we get a relative to mail us some more. Graeters is good, but that stuff is more east side than west side. I am from the West Side. Ice cream on the west side came from the UDF, (United Dairy Farmer's). There were all over the place back then. Brats definitely better than metts. Sometimes she finds white brats at the Kroger here. They are good but not like from home. Queen City Brats are the best. Of course none of it matters anymore since the Hudepohl Brewery went out of business. That was the day my allegiance to Cincinnati died. Except for the curse I bear that is the Cincinnati Bengals, and the blessing that is my high school.
  19. I am not sure there is much anything I like that has come from memphis other than burgers cooked in 100 year old grease
  20. its not oatmeal, pin oats are different.
  21. the picture is deceiving, while it resembles a sausage patty it in no way tastes like or has the consistancy of sausage. It can be made in the home. I used to make it from scratch, just easier to buy it in rolls.
  22. figure out how far your garage is to your neighbors house. When he is not looking run high quality extension cords from point a to point b. If the neighbor finds it, just say it was there when you moved in.
  23. I like sweet corn bread, that white dry stuff is nasty. Tea does not have to be "sweet Tea" There is a little invention you all may need to know about. It is called a tea spoon, a few spoon fulls of sugar in your tea gives you sweetened tea. Tastes the same to me as the holy "sweet tea" does. Anyway I prefer my tea unsweetened with a few lemon wedges. Not a big sugar fan. Carbonated soft drinks in Cincinnati were called "pop" In Chicagoland they were called soda. I worked with a guy from south west Illinois, he called soda "sodey" In Florida it was called soda. I call it soda. Pancakes are good, waffles are fair. I like bacon better than sausage in general, but if forced to eat sausage it better be links. Sausage patties suck. And being from Cincinnati I will only eat bacon, sausage, or any other form of breakfast meat under protest. I was raised on a breakfast meat called "goetta". If you aren't from there I seriously doubt you have the first clue as to what it is. But I will tell you, it is a close to perfection as any breakfast food can get. When people visit from home they have to bring it, if any of us goes to Cincy it must be brought back in sufficient quantities to make it until the next trip. it is great with eggs over easy, heavenly with pancakes and syrup on them, delicious on the fork mixed with egg yolk, home fries salt and pepper. You have not lived until you have had it for breakfast. But the downside is none of you are worthy. The perfect breakfast for me is three eggs over easy, well done home fries, goetta, rye bread toast with butter and blackberry preserves. chili should be watery and served over thin spaghetti, covered then by kidney beans and onions, smothered in fine shredded cheddar cheese. (if you have ever had Skyline, you know what I am talking about) Oh yeah, one last thing you all need to know about here. Brats. Brats should not resemble huge ass sausage links, they should not be called beer brats. The Brat should be basically near white in color and be contained in a casing. You fork the brat, lightly boil it in beer and a healthy dollop or roses lime. The brat after boiling it a bit is then put on a grill and browned, it is then sent swimming in a pan holding the still hot beer mixture which now contains onions. Eat them at you leisure on a bun with spicy mustard and onions. Best washed down with an ice cold lager beer. There ya have it.
  24. It is looking probable that I will be going. Will not be 100% sure until tomorrow afternoon.
  25. two years ago I had cause to contact TDOS in writing. I was replied to in a reasonable amount of time. Can't imagine why nothing is coming back on him, unless you are not getting the entire story and he has been denied. ( not accusing your buddy or nothing, just typing out loud.)
