I still do not understand the MASH thing going on in this thread. Some let me in on it.

I closed a CC account a few months ago. The person on the phone acted like I was out of my mind for doing it. I said give me a resonable rate and I will keep it. They said 21% was the best they had for me. I said the best I had for them was CANCEL. It was an uplifiting experience.

I Need Good Deal on Room Near Pigeon Forge. SUGGESTIONS
Mike.357 replied to VolunteerGuns's topic in General Chat
thats funny right there. All hotels are skeevy, DNA infested, gross me out places. Especially ones in PF that see new people doing God knows what on the bed on a daily basis. First rule of hotel rooms is to grab the comforter by the corner and pull it off the bed onto the floor. Push it with you shoe covered foot into a corner never to be touched again. Immediately wash hands. Don't use the phone and touch the remote control as little as possible, ideally with a plastic bag around it. YUCK I hate hotel rooms. That said just about any decent place in PF will cost 50 to 100 bucks depending on newness of the facility and ammenities. For enterntainment I recommend riding go karts. -
cannot even imagine who that might have been. Now in days past it would have been me. But I figure 10k of the stuff is enough. actually I could make better use of the ammo boxes holding it all, LOL. Actually I am finding that buying rifle ammo over the internet is inhibiting my ability to buy ammo from Walmart. What a conundrum.

this thread makes me want to go to WalMart and buy a gun, really it does.

I saw a book for sale once, it was titled "How to win friends and influence people" Obviously I did not buy it, heh.

Looking for info on WWII M1 Carbine that was my Grandpa's
Mike.357 replied to a topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
You will not hurt that rifle by shooting it. Just clean it up and give it a good eyeballing first. Make sure the bore is unobstructed. The value in an old milsurp is in shooting the things. While yours has great sentimental value and in relation to some other carbines is worth a lot, it is not of the value that would buy a home or put a kid through college. To me it is worth less if it sits collecting dust instead of barking lead downrange. You might have to order ammo online. I think Cabelas has some S&B .30 carbine and Graffs might still have some Wolf. Either will work fine in it. Hard to find that stuff at Walmart. One other thing, the mag in the rifle looks a bit rough, but if it works it is good. I have some that look like they were fished off the bottom of the English Channel and they work fine too. But you may want to pick up and extra mag or two. They can be found over the internet as well as at gun shows. Stick to USGI mags, not some aftermarket thing. -

that sling is a sling not a belt. Be careful if it is dry rotted. You don't want to snap it. Maybe find a easy way to remove it. -
I am over it. really I am.

I don't see how you could not shoot it. Would be like re-connecting with Grandad. My advice is to field strip it, clean it, grease and oil it. Then take it and shoot it. -
Mac is your truck fixed? If so I will look for you about 12:15- 12:30. Let me know if we need to go to a plan B. Now the hard part, trying to decide what I want to clean Saturday night.

As it turns out, we were either duped last night or I saw just lied to on the telephone. Jason and I spoke earlier today. He goes to that Hooters often. He saw a sign posting TN code about no guns. It was on a side board once you enter the building. I just got off the phone with a manager there. He verified to me that the posting was in place a week ago. When I went in last night I searched high and low, saw no signage. At any rate I epxlained my (our) position on this. I got the impression that personally he did not care either way, only that this signage came from their corporate office. I explained how much money we spent last night, he was appreciative. I also explained how that would never happen again from our group. I also told him I felt that we were being set up for a fall with the manner of posting and that if they felt the need to post it ought to be prominent on the front door. Again he said "corporate decisions" Anyway I am calling their corporate HQ tomorrow during business hours. I encourage all of you to do the same. The number is 502-499-9991. I encourage you to mention how much you spent there, the idiocy behind banning legal and lawful HCP holders, and if that fails, to put the sign where it can be seen. I am pissed, I really feel like they took advantage of us.

range pass is 15 bucks a day, or 30 bucks annual. New passes came out July 1. Some of us are shooting free from the next time on

I would have but I was moving

our waitress had a very nice rack... to set the serving tray on

aiming is over rated

yep Norris this weekend, dunno why this one would be any different than the last two, LOL. The pattern at Norris seems that it is less crowded later in the afternoon. I will assume less crowded early in the morning too. Noonish the place has been fairly full the last two weekends, particularly last Saturday. Someone can grab the reigns on this if they want.

i will defer to your intuition. But if they post it is on you to find us another palce to eat wings and look at boobi..., errr sports on TV
-
you gotta wonder why they did not post last night? How freaking hard is it to put up a sign that says NO GUNS ALLOWED? It is very dissapointing. What do you think our table spent last night? I would guess near 250 to 300 dollars, maybe more ??. Our waitress easily made 50 bucks or more. I am going to get a phone number and call to speak to the manager.

looks like you got a fair deal. I assume it is in time and all the internals parts work. Glad to see you are getting into a lady wearing a top

the dog came home one night and had been sprayed, she rubbed on the wall. I tell you I was ready to move out. The worst smell ever. Took a week for it to go away.

no one besides me. The grandson told me he knows it, too funny. Probably would not be a bad idea to let someone I trust know the combo. My wife could care less about it.
