  1. if I win the powerball, the ammo is on me!! It's a promise.
  2. someone else sent me an ammo link today too. I have a choice, money could be spent on either one of the ammuntion links. Or I can have money to use at the gunshow this weekend. Now if I would just win the powerball, none of this decision making would have to happen. I really want a tin of x39 ammo too.
  3. we still have a stuffed taco bell dog that sings "chances are"
  4. you can see it i think because it is on your computer somewhere, temp files or sum'pin. I had a Hi Point in .40S&W, I kick myself often for selling it. I wanna nudder one.
  5. I don't need the Fed telling states to accept the TN HCP. The states involved can accept one anothers permits. All this thing was is more gov't involvement. Don't need it don't want it.
  6. fouling is why you do not use them in modern design guns. Modern DA revolvers are very difficult to detail strip, most I am sure never get detail stripped when using smokeless powders. Semi auto guns would be a nightmare using BP. I suspect they would foul and jam within a few rounds. Again detail stripping would be needed. The use of dyno based oils causing the severe fouling is the problem. If you used olive oil or vegetable oil the gun might run a little better. But then you get back to having to detail strip for cleaning. BP is corrosive hence the need for a good cleaning after shooting it. If you have BP supplies and thats why you are entertaining using it I would recommend buying gun made for the sacred black stuff. They are very affordable, revolvers start well under 200 bucks.
  7. so has anyone found restaurants that do not serve alcohol that have banned guns?
  8. I am not so sure much good ever comes of the federal goverment sticking its nose in my business.
  9. i totally assume you are kidding. But if you were to do that and the guy had a terrible wreck, who do you think is going to be found at fault?
  10. Yep, Dude life is too short as it is. You have no clue what this idiot is up to. I would slow way the heck down, pull as far right as possible, turn on my flashers and wave him on by. I would do it every single night it happened. You want to have a confrontation with this guy? I see you have a permit, I assume you are carrying. You need to do something to de-escalate this every single time.
  11. i think it was a slippery slope, and I am not sad it got shot down.
  12. I was given one of these about 6 years ago for my birthday. There is absolutely no doubt that it has more rounds put through it than all the other stuff I have, combined. I have it hanging over the garage pedestrian door. I can't hardly not pull it down and crank out a few shots ( can stuck in tree about 30 feet away at all times) everytime I come or go through that door. The contest when people are around is to stand on welcome mat at the door. Shoot at the can until yout hit it, then start counting hits until you miss. I think the unofficial record is 27 hits by a guy I used to work with. There usually seems to be beer involved when these contests happen LOL
  13. Unlike many in East TN I have pretty much all my teeth, But I go with the hardening up theory. Your gums are going to shrink some and get tougher fairly quickly. Sorry for your woes. For the grace of God it could be any of us.
  14. So memphis does have some redeeming value
  15. the whole inform thing is a conumdrum. I don't think I wouild have said anything, but I know for a fact I am not printing too. And I pretty much am not getting involved with cops unless I have no choice, LOL. The quote is from the book "Origins of the right to bear arms". I believe Aristotle first said this. It was also in the book Political Disquisitions (1774). John Adams was quoted as saying that this is a book that should be in every home.
  16. i would pull way the heck over immediately and wave him by. No sense sweating crap like this.
  17. thanks for that info, I may have to look into it if my mother in law can't find one at yard sales this summer.
  18. nice you helped a bum out, but I am curious as to why you would volunteer permit status to the cop. it was not really pertinent. I am not ripping on you but I would have not said anything.
  19. I had a paper grocery bag packed full of 8 tracks up until about 5 years ago when I finally caved and threw them out. Can't bear to part with the records though.
  20. I love it, reminds me of the 70's. Wish I could find a "compact" stereo for the garage. Yanno, one with am/fm, 8 track and turntable built into one unit. I still have two peach crates full of vinyl, nothing to play them on.
  21. Madden, CoD, Brothers in Arms
  22. I agree, that is the big deal about it all.
  23. I saw that but it does not copy anything. Oh well not that important to derail this thread any further. thanks
  24. what he is saying is that nothing has changed at his restaurants. No guns on July 13 and no guns now. Same difference.
  25. I am too stupid I guess, what or where is this prt scr button?
