Absolutely NOTHING to do with guns. But, when I was 30...

you owned the lickin' stick! NIce -
I can suspend belief about zombies, gunsights and other stuff. But how did the van rock off the overpass and land on its tires?
-
why did Gordon pit at the end? Good for Harvick on winning.
-
If I can detach from reality and believe in zombies it is not hard to detach and believe in pumpers running without the engine running or rifles without sights hitting at distance and never ending bullet clips.

if people did not pay the price then the price would drop. You can't fix people who shoot us all in the foot.

He is very correct. But does he not understand the connection between the law he signed and Remington leaving?

Just had a Burger King manager want to fight me

when I did hiring and firing in the past the deal breaker on any prospective employee was if their references would admit they would hire them back. If they said that the person was not eligible for re-hire they were not going to be hired by me. If an ex-employer would have them back they most likely got a job with me. It was an easy way for the reference to tell me the truth about the person in question. -
personally I think the whole beard thing started when members of the military started growing beards to assimilate into Afghan culture while they served there.

the we are "better than them" around here attitude cracks me up. I deal with "hipsters" every day at work, 99% of the ones I deal with are truly nice people to me, work and are productive, and aren't afraid of buying good product. So they wear skinny jeans, flannel or other nice looking clothes? Their hair is generally well kept and some have beards. Does everyone here look down on everyone else? It is no wonder the "gun crowd" is generally looked at as nut bags.

meh, they are just people. No better and certainly no worse.

Bargain 3.5" folding knife for <$5
Mike.357 replied to cybernorris's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
I used to carry a 5 dollar knife for work. Aside from it needing to be sharpened about every day it was workable. My daily driver now is a Kershaw. It is a 30 dollar knife. Holds an edge for about a week. -

there is another thread here that will allow you to become a knife guy! -
better to ask forgiveness than permission I always say.

they are two different knives.

I dunno about cubic yards.. I bought a tri axle dump truck load of driveway gravel from a local supplier. You ever heard of Claiborne? their driver spread a load over 100 yards long on my driveway and then dumped the balance. it was 400 bucks for 22 tons. I had a huge pile of gravel that he dumped. It is more than enough to make a decent backstop for shooting. Hardly buying from nursery.

i got a litle range out front in the woods. I built it from logs and dirt I scavenged out of the woods nearby. Some dirt came from a big hole I dug. I add to it always. When I end up with a wheel barrow load of crud I throw it on top. I built it on the bottom of a decent quick rise of a hill. It is about 10 feet across by four feet high. from where I shoot it is at least six feet high. Now if I was going to start from scratch on flat ground I'd be prepared to spend some money. I dunno about dirt, but but I recently had a tri axle load of driveway gravel delivered. It was 400 beans for 22 tons. It was a helluva huge pile. You could make a good range backstop out of it. You can shovel that much gravel if you are not scared of work. Gravel makes a great backstop for bewlitts. And add yard waste to it as you go. And i may be wrong but dirt ain't dirt cheap, bet it costs more than gravel and is more dense. so less of a pile per dollar

there are jerks everywhere. Best advice I can offer is to just forget it and move on. Nothing more than a blip in life. Karma issues paybacks.

I am really excited about this run. It looks like a perfect knife for me. Ought to be awesome for work.

the premix eggnog is a big seller. Most brands use rum, brandy and bourbon in their concoction. Now there is absolutely no telling the quality in the mixing spirits. I am pretty sure the hootch is all distilled in Bardstown or Frankfort or the like. It comes from no exotic location and is aged to the bare minimum. Also none of the premix gives any notation to how much is used. My guess is it has a drop of rum and brandy and the balance is the cheap swill bourbon they make especially for this stuff. Met Mrs pieslinger tonight. Sent her home with a 10 year old Rip and a bottle of Elmer. Dunno where the Elmer came from but we got 18 bottles today. I think there are 6 left, maybe. One came home with me! :) Shelf price on ETL is 32.95. OTD on the Rip is about 60 bucks. I work Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights this week yet. I can probably be helpful if you want a ten year Rip. Ask for me and be discreet. pieslinger got lucky. His wife just happened to ask about some bourbons and showed me the text with brand name requests. I saw my name in one of them, LOL. If she just asked anyone else she might not have seen the Rip. Anyway, come in, ask for Mike just look for the old fat guy. Be discreet and I might can help you with something special. I am going to see if I can put a few bottles of Rip on the shelf just to see what happens. I bet the first bourbon dork in the door will grab all three. (note I use the word dork with lots of love, it is not a put down.) If I was one of you's guys I'd be in early as possible tomorrow and ask any clerk about ETL. I am sure there is some left.

I am in for sure. Regular blade, same serial # as last time if possible.

best line of the series so far was while they discussed Eugene's hair he referred to it as a Tennessee Top Hat. i cracked up. Eugene is straight up a rip off of the Kenny Powers character in East Bound and Down. I love the comic relief he provided. I wonder how scrambled his eggs are after face planting on the asphalt. And what did it say on the apron to the firehouse after Eugene used his water gun on the walkers?

if it was not OBL killed it the raid why wouldn't the Taliban make that claim? If he OBL did die in 2006 why wouldn't they just keep on with the coverup of it? They should have brought him back to port and hung his corpse from a yardarm. -
not a fan of tanto, definitely not a fan of the chisel blade knife. I way prefer the Runt for its blade shape and grip style.
