    SAA Clones

I have an Uberti 1873 SAA and it is great. Really is a quality made firearm. you would not go wrong with an Uberti. But that said I also have a Pietta 1858 Remington. Chambered in .44 for use with black powder. I picked up a conversion cylinder for it and it now can also shoot .45 LC. I love the option of cartridges or BP. if realism is not important you might want to look at the Ruger Vaquero.
  2. I will second what Garufa said. I have never heard of a sticky bolt from dry firing. Sounds like cosmo in the bolt.
  3. yep, that would be your Titans I am talking about
  4. I can accept that, I know I am always behind the times LOL
  5. they use the parking lights cause it looks cool. Well at least to them it does.
  6. fixed it for ya. It is a fun little piece to shoot. Best of all is it did not piss off the boss when I brought it home.
  7. This is what the current admin. would love to have happen here. people dependent on the .gov's tit and the .gov encouraging it to happen. yep we will feed you, house you, medicate you and watch you. Nah, could never happen here. :-\
  8. Nice article there Leroy I think the opening paragraph sums things up fairly well with this line.
  9. see my problem with big brother is that no one can watch them and I see it getting worse rather than better.
  10. Slightly evil black carbine, Hi Point 995 TS ( in case you did not read the recent Knox gun show thread.) Flavored in 9mm.
  11. This is my find at the gun show yesterday. The Hi Point 995 TS. I have had one of these on my mind for a couple of years. For the last year or so I had been holding out hope for a .45 ACP version but I had finally given up on that happening anytime soon. They will probably come out with it this week now that I got the 9mm. T & T Grocery and Sporting is always at the gun shows and they always seem to have the best prices. I picked this up for about 20 bucks less than I have seen other shops sell it for. The forestock is an aftermarket $15 part that I bought from another vendor at the show. Makes the little carbine look a lot more evil. OS and I put some rounds through it yesterday afternoon. Looks like it will be a real good shooter. I am looking forward to testing it some more this afternoon.
  12. I can see that being useful with an AR type rifle. The closest I have to that is a M1 carbine. If that mag is not seated it falls right out to begin with. I was reading the OP as a handgun situation and I did not understand how to tap a mag in a handgun.
  13. My concern with this big brother stuff is who is watching big brother?
  14. I will ask the stupid question. If you have a ftf why are you tapping the magazine?
  15. iWatch the man, because the man is trying to stick it to me.
  16. Maybe this thread will help you with you confusion http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/curio-relics-black-powder/23616-more-mosin-fact.html
  17. LOL it was whispering to Karin just before. I could not believe she held it. And that is as far as that will go. I am glad I gave in to not waiting for the .45 model. I am hopeful it will speak some more tomorrow.
  18. I am rather fond of the new ugly.
  19. just another example of .gov watching out for our well being, or knowing what is best for us if you will. You do know that the .gov knows whats best?
  20. I am going to bring my one box of Winnie .40S&W value pack and sell it for 60 bucks
  21. gray fuzz sounds like a poor job of cleaning after the last shooting, dunno?? This reminds me that I ought to go through the vault and start some stripping, cleaning and oiling on some of the ones that have been resting in the back.
  22. The Carnivore would be a good one to try, as long as they would go easy with the red sauce. Some of the food challenges he does are just plain nuts. Dude must have a cast iron gut. I am past my prime eating age but I can hold my own if I set my mind to it. Take me back to my mid twenties and there was no food or amount of it safe from my stomach.
  23. I will try to get here early to get a spot in line. don't forget your coupon
  24. Man vs. Food. Perfect for a lard ass like me
