I am not sure why you are set on a M44 for a first Mosin, but if you look around you can find 91/30's for under 125. 91/30 to me is a better shooter though you get less fireball.

yep ORSA is the only place I have heard of over 200 yards. You can do 200 at Norris. Or you can shoot really small targets at 100 yards and pretend it is 300, dunno

Trauma I imagine the big draw for Kelly is $$$$$, while UC might at best only offer $$. Can't imagine him being Irish Catholic and a lifelong pursuer of that job having anything to do with it. I am pretty much hearing it is a done deal, will be announced Friday. The UC football banquet is Thursday night and he will tell the team in private then. Also hearing that UC is not making much of an attempt to keep him aboard. Lets face it, UC or ND. UC can't compete with it. The Big East is not the SEC, the Big 10, or even the Pac 10. It is like a red headed step child anymore. Not saying it will happen, but can you image Kelly's place in football lore should he return ND to the elite status it once held? I do not fear gloom and doom for UC either, there was plenty of that talk when Dantonio left for MSU too.

I can't think of any coach who takes another job and has been allowed to coach his old team any further. Definitely a conflict of interest. I would like to see Kelly announce he is taking the ND job the day after the Sugar Bowl as he feels he owes it to UC to see this season through. But it ain't gonna happen. Hopefully he will do as he did when he came to UC, half his staff stayed on and coached the previous team in a bowl game. The current players for UC are the ones getting the short end of the stick if he goes to ND. But this stuff happens every year somewhere.

Heck if your show was closer it would be a no brainer as to which one would be better to attend. I love gun shows, even with beef jerky and jewelry booths, I have no doubt what you guys are putting on will make a traditional show pale in comparison. I wish it was closer to Knox. That would be kind of weak. Three hours away is not real competition for them. For me it is too far, for others they will go because of what it has been billed as being. This thread is not hijacked. We discussed the gun show at the Knoxville Expo Center and going to Norris to shoot. I am curious what happened to the original thread too.

I am on a ND email list, there are several members who are alumni and ex football players there. Word is that the job is more than likely Kelly's to turn down. Harbaugh waiting in the wings as a back up choice. If Kelly does accept I see no way he would be allowed to remain as UC's coach for the bowl game.

I can't do Sunday, need to be home from noon until about 4:30. Got a prior commitment. So whatever we do needs to be on Saturday for me to participate.

thats harsh, I have seen lots of athletes cry after a loss. It's not shameful. My high school lost in the state semi finals last week, front page of Cincinnati Enquirer had a pic of three of them crying, never thought them to be freaks. After the UC/Pitt game today the TV showed Pitt players in the tunnel with tears running down their faces. Did not think them to be freaks.
