  1. Right on Sgt. Joe!
  2. Okay, I just pulled a bullet from the Canned Heat, and a bullet from a Federal. Actually the Canned Heat is just slightly longer than the Federal. Both appeared to have a similar amount of powder. I did not weigh it.
  3. I will just take it as a lesson learned. I have shot about 200 of the 500 rounds. I'll use the rest to make noise with. I did not pull a bullet, I would guess that they are seated deeper to try to make up for using less powder to save money on the loads.
  4. I tell you the stuff is awful. I don't even want to shoot it. Too frustrating. Rounds could go anywhere, 12 inches up or down or side to side. Worst stuff I have ever shot. Only good to see if the gun cycles.
  5. Federal 29.413 mm oal Blazer Brass 29.37 oal Canned Heat 27.73 mm oal
  6. I ordered a 500 rd box of 9mm Canned Heat about a month ago, took three business days to recieve the order. FWIW I think the particular ammo sucks. Not accurate at all, overall length is shorter than Federal or WWB. I would not re-order it personally. But I have bought Canned Heat in .45ACP in the past and it was good stuff. So who knows?
  7. Bill of Rights trumps all of that
  8. I knew that was coming, LOL I actually was referring to the biblical Hell
  9. what is your definition of better? I hardly think things are better in China.
  10. just came inside from having a snow fight with one of the grandkids, he took a whooping.
  11. there is a lot going on in that picture. I wonder why the guy in the foreground is lying down and waving hit hat
  12. But if the Archangel stock does not make the groups tighter why put it on? Yeah you can, you could wipe dog pooh on it too, but will that make it more accurate? I am waiting to read why that stock is the best thing for the 10-22
  13. noticed the guy in the bell tower with the Mosin Nagant 91/30
  14. okay, I will bite. What makes that Archangel stock so good? It looks all tacticool in an AR sort of way. But what you have is still a semi auto .22. The plastic bayonet is pretty much garbage. What are you gonna do, stab someone with it? I doubt too many people think going into close quarters battle with a .22 a very good idea. Does that stock make the rifle more accurate than the original stock?

in my book ammo is the biggest variable. Every .22 I have seems to shoot differently with any and all ammo. What works great in one sucks in another. Then throw in an auto loader and the round that may be most accurate might be one that does not feed reliably. Price of ammo does not seem to matter either.
  16. I feel you there. The day mine buys me a gun will be the day hell freezes over. Nice long gun btw

  20. The song Oddball plays during the tank attack on the railway yard ("All for the Love of Sunshine") was not written until 1970.

.22's are not exceptionally accurate at 100 yards. I don't really see them as 100 yard rifles. iron sights at 100 yards are going to be bigger than the target. I get frustrated at 50 yards even with a scope. 100 yards with iron drives me crazy. The accu triggers on the two Savage rifles I have are pretty darn nice.
  22. I am checking On Demand right now to see if Kelly's Heroes is there. I will watch it either way. Actually the commercials help with my AADD anyway. I about can't sit through a movie without them. Great movie. Been looking forward to it since I saw it advertised this afternoon.
  23. great looking piece. One of the these days I might have to venture into some other allied rifles aside from Russian and American. Adding calibers is what holds me back. Love me some milsurps
  24. I will beat Strickj to it and say, "I'd hit it"
  25. how about a 1858 Remington, either a Pietta or an Uberti. You can also get a conversion cylinder to shoot cartridge rounds out of. Pick your caliber, 44 or 36, and the conversions are 45 Colt or 38 Special. Come over to tbe Black side.
