Have one and it is great. Very accurate and reliable. Lever action in it is smooth as butter. Stripping for cleaning is a piece of cake as is re-assembly. Unless you plan on shooting in cold weather with wearing gloves avoid the large loop lever. It looks cool but is not an advantage or anything. The regular lever is easier to use.
  2. just an oversight on my part, nothing sinister going on (fixed the OP, mentioned Ramsey for everyone)
  3. I like the Springer a lot, very nice.

MVW is great entertainment. There is a lot of good knowledge to be taken from it. I am glad he came out of the closet about what he is doing though. Nothing wrong with going back to the Hilton after a heavy day of survival techniques. Most of us could use the same type of practice. Les is in a whole other league, he talked it and walked it. Either one are better than the show I saw the other night with Rudy Reyes.
  5. I guess I am a wet blanket. Did not like it. We have enough problems without these things being out there and representative of HCP holders. I get the humor, you get the humor, but anti gun people and people who know nothing of guns, good or bad, believe this kind of stuff.
  6. Ain't that the truth. Their logic on just the Guns in Bars law baffles me. So I go to a Applebees, can't control myself and start drinking while carrying. I mean if I am going to drink while carrying, is some law going to stop me anyway? On top of that 99.99% of HCP holders are extremely law abiding and don't do, would never consider doing what these people just flat out assume is going to happen. I will never understand how people ( some of these candidates) think it is fine to be able to lord over us, picking and choosing where we are allowed the basic right of self defense.
  7. Candidates speak out on the issues:Guns http://web.knoxnews.com/pdf/2010/jan/011010tn_gov_guns.pdf This is worth the read. If you will vote on governor based soley on 2A, Ramsey,Wamp and Haslam look like our best friends. I was honestly suprised at Haslams answers. (sorry too difficult to copy and paste it all here.)

Bill, I have never handled a nailgun so I will take your word for it breaking in a dry fire situation. That makes is simple, LOL. Time to go ride the quad.

it broke because it hit the chamber, same as a rimfire gun might do

I am not saying one way or the other, but in a few years of reading gun message boards I have never read anyone who claims their gun broke from dry firing it. Never even heard of it before. Never even imagined dry firing a center fire was a bad thing.

that is apples and oranges. A 22 is a rimfire. By the nature of it the firing pin may strike the edge of the chamber and peen it. The argument of dry firing a centerfire is reminiscent of 1911/Glock, 9mm/45auto, 10-22/Model 60.

I have never ever understood how dry firing hurts something. rimfire excluded., even with them it is questionable. Someone started this story then started supplying snap caps to make a buck or two.

  21. thats funny. I carried a piece of lead pencil in my left thumb for about twenty years. I was stabbed with it by our babysitter when I was a little kid. Finally festered and came out one day.
